I recently had my water service line replaced from the meter to my house. During the project, David discovered that the boring contractor hadn't installed the new line deep enough to meet code. It would have been easy to work around it, trench through my landscaping, or simply let it go--but instead, he advocated for me. He stood his ground, insisted the boring company come back and do the job correctly, and ultimately saved me from ending up with a substandard installation. That decision cost him an entire day's work while everyone waited for the boring company to return, but he still put doing the job right ahead of simply getting paid and moving on. To top it off, when the project was finished, his final invoice came in below the high end of the estimate he had originally given me. In a world where it's common to brace yourself for surprise costs, that was a refreshing experience. That seemed pretty expensive for just a faucet swap out so I declined the service but was charged $120 for the quote that they called a service charge. I called around and wound up getting someone to do the job for $170. Just a reminder to call around to compare prices and get estimates before they come out to avoid a service fee for just a 5 minute quote for the job. I asked what was the hourly rate for their service as this job should take about an hour but was told the quote was generated from their quoting software not from how long it would take to do the job.

My only suggestion would be to keep household objects covered with tarp or plastic during the whole job. Not just when there's sawing or 'messy work' going on. If it's a room where there will be a lot of foot traffic the floor cloth is good, but plastic over furniture etc would be a great help when it comes to us cleaning up afterwards. The experience we had with All Right was not a good one and we found out that they charge significantly more than their competitors.

But I had major plumbing work (reroute) done and not long after the faucet at the master bathroom vanity put out hot water when turning on the cold tap. I had Danny (owner) come out and replace a 2-way valve with a 3-way in the guest shower. At that time I asked why the hot water took so long to get hot in that shower and he stated it had to do with the interchanger or something to that effect. I am NOT a plumber. Now, it takes a good while for the cold water to get cold in both bathrooms and now at the kitchen sink. I contacted Danny on 052926 and advised about the hot water issue and he stated it was not right, that he would be out that following Monday, 060126. Didn't happen. Have called, with no answer. Left vm with no response. Texted with no response and asked a mutual friend to give him a shout. Still no response. The reroute cost me thousands. This is NOT professional. Shouldn't have to hire another plumber to get this addressed & fixed. Serously considering filing a formal complaint with the authorities.
