I had lesions on my forehead, eyebrow and side of my nose, and even had some on my right eyelid. It was quite scary, and my Western medicine doctor was debating whether or not I needed to be hospitalized. In addition to the prescription antiviral, I went in twice per week for acupuncture treatments for three weeks. I really feel these treatments were instrumental in my recovery. I'm thinking about not going back. I feel like she's not sure what to do with my health problems. I'm not getting better. I feel relaxed when I leave her office and always have a nice little nap on the table, but overall, my symptoms aren't improving. Other acupuncturists I went to would get me in and help me out if I had a migraine, but she doesn't offer this. It takes awhile to get ahold of her if call in.
