I've read the not-so-pleasant comments about the owner of this consignment shop. Today, I observed a person with a consignment -the owner was not very pleasant because the customer didn't have their consignment paperwork. Second: I asked for the sticker price tag that was on the crystal vase, she said she already threw it away. I just wanted to write about additional discount on the crystal vase because of the length of time in the consignment. The longer items are at the shop they get discounted before being returned to the customer if not sold Third: I purchased a crystal vase, but the owner put it in a plastic bag. Fourth: I handed the owner my card to pay, and when she gave it back to me, she laid it on the counter instead of putting my card in my hand. The selection of furniture, lighting, and decorative accessories is often exceptional, with fair pricing and researched descriptions of the finer pieces and the period (antique, mid century, modern). I have shopped there many times over a period of years. The owner consistently treats me in a way that suggests my business is not valued or needed. Went in today to buy a piece I had wanted. The woman behind the counter was yelling at someone across the store . Then I hear her yell at a gentleman who I think was her husband. If she is that rude I don't want to buy there. Or she needs meds I left without buying and won't be back read more

I'm surprised at some of the past reviews. I frequent this shop. A few times a month because her inventory is always changing. I am always acknowledged kindly both when I enter and when I leave if they are not busy. I have found so many lovely items along the way. I like that you can just browse around with no one giving you a hard sales pitch. May even stop in today. read more

Found Passiton on Yelp and decided to check it out. Really good selection at a good price. As with other consignment places, the longer the item is in stock, the lower the price. Midcentury is my vibe, and I was looking for a floor lamp, but found some vases and glass items. Wall art, rugs, furniture and accessories were abound with a style for everyone. The store is very large and well thought out as far as layout. An experienced retailer/designer will utilize every square inch of retail space without feeling overcrowded, and Toni has done an exceptional job. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

Wow, I've been here repeatedly and have not had any of the bad experiences by anyone else. I go in and browse, find what I want and check out. Yes, the people on staff don't come out to talk to me but they are usually busy and I like it like that. I just want to look. When I do find something I like, because her stuff is all very very nice, I know it won't stay there very long. I've look at jewelry there and have tried it on and have been treated very politely. They have so many beautiful pieces and prices are very reasonable, I recommend anyone to look there before a furniture store. Its like new quality all the time and nothing shabby. read more

Let me start by saying that this a very upscale consignment shop. The inventory of merchandise is beautiful and the presentation of everything is very tasteful. That said, the owner is rude and has no problem verbally telling customers and consignors off for no reason. A simple question elicits a loud "talking to" which is just unnecessary. I have tried to enjoy that store at least 4 times but I am done. Today I asked where I might find....and before I could even finish the sentence, she loudly admonished me..."Ma'am, this store is FULL OF MERCHANDISE! I can't begin to know...and on and on. " I asked her to please calm down...that there was no reason for such an attack and she just continued to rant. I can only assume she somehow succeeds in spite of her vile, unfriendly handling of her clients. It is a shame, the store has such potential and she has a great eye for decorating and quality of merchandise. I know many people I have talked to about her either say "you just have to put up with her" or they won't go in because they refuse to be treated poorly by her or listen to her yell at others in the shop. read more

I went in to purchase something and wanted to fully inspect it which I did. I was going to purchase it and the owner got enraged that I had set pillows on the floor. I apologized and she kept on going with her enragement. She didn't like how I was handling the furniture that was someone else. I said I was going to purchase it and she yelled "Well you didn't yet". I was not as adult as I should have been and said she was being a certain way in a calm tone and her and her employee screamed not once but at least five times to get out of the store. Clearly these are not professional people. Will never go back. I won't buy from nasty business owners. I did not hurt the furniture and had planned on purchasing it. read more

Pass it on: Recently I was in the store "for the last time" when the owner once again showed her true colors she has got to be the rudest person I have ever come across. She yelled and belittled an older woman in her store for not bringing her items in wiped off and ready for the "showroom" whenever the older women tried to speak the owner became even more obnoxious and loud!
