Hello beautiful people! Today, I want to share with you an amazing experience…read more I came to San Diego Strength and Wellness at a dire time in my life. I had received the news that I might need knee surgery due to a tear on my ACL and Meniscus. That evening I spoke to my dear friend Ben and he asked me the following " do you want to wait and see what the doctors say? Or do you want to give your knee a fighting chance at recovery through proper physical training? The thought of getting in better shape, not going under the knife and giving my body a chance to heal was too tempting to pass. I said "YES". I then asked " what do I need to do?" and he just said "just trust me Sal". We immediately set up our workout schedule and he asked me to send him photos of everything I was eating throughout my day. Twice a week I did 60 minute personal training sessions and sent him daily photos of my meals until I refined my eating habits. I can honestly say I am not dieting. I eat what I want, when I want. I just crave healthy stuff and that is what I had been chasing for a long time; sustainable healthy eating habits. With this said I want to thank you Ben! First of all, your work ethic is contagious and the foundation to your success. Your gym is clean, not crowded, it has great energy and the team you have created is 2nd to none. Your whole team has eagerness to help and develop the talent that goes in seeking help/guidance on improving both mentally and physically. I can now say that after 3 months of hardwork in and outside the gym, that I am stronger body and mind, healthier, and the fittest I've ever been. Oh and did I mention, NO SURGERY NEEDED!! Started 2022 at 173lbs, got to San Diego Strength and Wellness at 163lbs and after 3 months got down to 148lbs. Slowly losing fat and gaining muscle. Being healthy is not easy and/or quick; it takes time, dedication, persistence, and above all, resilience to adhere to your objective. Thank you all for the support in this journey and for your continued support in my next journey!

Getting a personal trainer at SDSW was a great investment and one of my best decisions I ever made…read more The facility itself is always clean, has lots of great equipment that emphasizes more on functional strength, and great trainers that are legit and knowledgable. I joined because I wanted to prepare for my College Volleyball Season by increasing my athleticism and strength. My trainer Julia really pushed me. Being a former collegiate athlete herself, she knew what it takes to be successful at the next level. Despite only meeting with her twice a week, I have gotten a lot stronger and gained 8lbs of muscle going from 143lbs to 151lbs. She taught me lots of different exercises that help me strengthen my entire body, especially my hips, legs, core, and at the same time increasing my overall flexibility and mobility all of which have translated on the volleyball court. I don't think I ever been pushed more physically and mentally any where else. Look no further this is the best gym in SD. Highly recommend.

Coaches are friendly, will push ( I mean challenge ) you, in a very good way. The energy that they will just keep you going. Coach Ed incorporate "games" in the work out. never a routine, will not allow your mind and body to expect what's coming next, which is fun , Coach Dylan burpee , coach Matt squat leg days ‍, Coach Juan XTRA credit , coach Deejay xtra xtra full of energy , coach Fernanda ‍ ‍ ‍ . Coaches will show modification and your safety is at their utmost priority. They acknowledge fitness levels are all around different. When you think no one is looking, you will find them beside you or doing the exercise with you. Big Matt owner has been soooo nice d'BEST. The gym offers group Challenges ( for a minimal fee ) from 14 day to 30 day, and in-between, with nutrition guidance, coach consultation, etc. Glad I found this Gym ( tnx to my dear friend for the intro and encouragement to give it a try ) been looking for something like this for a very long time ( not a typical 24h or LA fitness vibe and other small gym franchise ) . Everyone here are so friendly. From the staff to the mbrs. Morning and evening classes that starts as early as 0500 . (Bathrooms are always clean ). Been going here since November last year and the Gym still is well-kept, carpet does not smell, has not walked on a sticky floors. Lots of parking . Sometimes big Matt even will bring in a DJ. Come visit and have a me-time fun #selfcare

Going through pre-menopause, I lost a lot of muscle, struggled with chronic hip issues and weight gain of 30 pounds. Once I started my HRT, I knew I had to change my game plan. I joined the 21 day holiday hustle with a few of my closest friends. It has been a party when we meet at the Camp. I lost 9 lbs the first 3 weeks. I have continued to get stronger and lose a total of 15 lbs. I am back to my happy place. I have been asked why I do this. I do this because I can and I'm worth it.

Dear AFC Urgent Care,…read more On July 8, 2026, at 7:15 pm, I scheduled an appointment with Urgent Care for my husband, who had been ill for approximately one week with flu symptoms, including cough, congestion, headache, body aches, and episodes of sweating. The nurse or medical assistant--I'm not sure of his title since he didn't inform us--took my husband's vital signs without wearing a mask and was seen coughing into his hand. Additionally, he did not wash his hands before or after taking my husband's vital signs. My husband's vital signs were normal. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) examined my husband's ears, throat, and chest. She acknowledged his reported symptoms but did not report any concerns after completing her physical assessment and interview. She did not order or perform a nasal swab, draw blood, collect a urine sample, or conduct a chest X-ray. Instead, she performed an EKG, which was reported as normal. Unfortunately, my husband did not receive a diagnosis or prescription. He was advised to go to the emergency room for blood work and a chest X-ray. We believe that the care he received was inadequate and that the EKG was unnecessary. I had informed the NP that my husband had recently undergone a full workup with a cardiologist, which revealed no concerns. Additionally, my husband informed the NP that he had not and was not experiencing any chest pain.
