Our visit this afternoon (9/11/18) was really excellent. We sat with Stephanie while she went over very important things we needed to know before our trip to Africa next month. She was polite, very knowledgeable, and thorough. She explained what we needed and what we needed to be concerned about. She also checked to see that our meds for Africa were compatible with the meds we are currently taking. We also got our Hep A and Typhoid shots. A thoroughly excellent visit! read more

When I went on the website, passport health seemed very legit. I made the appt and heard back almost immediately from someone offering to apply for the visas needed to travel to our designated countries for the nominal fee of $200. I was immediately put off by this - why would a legitimate travel assistance company charge us so much to apply for a visa on top of the price of the visa?? I still went to the appt (which is in a very shady looking business park situation) on my designated date and time anyways where I was told my vaccinations would be upwards of $1,500. In addition to vaccinations, passport health pushes a variety of other items like bug repellents that run around $30-40 a pop. Since every reputable clinic I've ever been to accepts insurance, I assumed this would be the case with PH but no dice. They wanted me to pay for everything out of pocket and pursue my insurance after the fact including the $55 for a printout from the CDC website. Since I have a day job that doesn't include a medical billing degree, I decided not to go for the vaccinations in an attempt to maintain my sanity and avoid calling and harassing my insurance. My advance: save yourself the headache and time and just go to Walgreens which takes insurance and does travel vaccinations as well. read more

Way overpriced. I had to go ahead and get an appointment booked for an upcoming trip. Should have done more research first - shame on me. My PCP recommended that I see a travel clinic as he was not 100% sure they could get all I needed. Found this one after some quick web searching but did not investigate pricing. Paid about double here what I should have for the same vaccine, in addition to a high consulting fee. All told, I spent about $220 just to get a single vaccine. Basically got some literature and sent on my way. The staff member was very nice and courteous. But the pricing is way off. The office itself is difficult to find (in an old office complex - just one small office with a small waiting area - so if I didn't know it was connected to a larger entity, I'd think it was a shady operation. Made for an awkward visit. My recommendation: Consult the CDC website and ask elsewhere for their pricing. read more
