There is also a brunch menu with typical food such as breakfast plates, beignets, and biscuits & gravy. The parking lot is a bit small, but there is a slightly larger lot next door that does not seem to boot people. The restaurant is pretty spacious inside offering booths and tables. There is also outdoor seating. The service was very friendly and quick! My friend and I got the Korean Fried Chicken Sandi and Little Italy. I was in between trying their Breakfast Tacos and the Korean Fried Chicken Sandi, but the server told me to get the sandwich and it was decent. I had seen some reviews on other websites that people were worried it was going to be too spicy because of the gochujang. But it is NOT spicy at all, at least not to me. The sandwich tasted kind of sweet, which is a taste found in gochujang. There was a lot of red onion slaw, which I would probably not add in next time. The chicken was pretty crunchy and tasted good, but I did not taste the marination in the meat. I got waffle fries with honey mustard for my side which tasted pretty good. My friend enjoyed her Little Italy sandwich. Overall, I would give this place a 3.75/5 stars if I could. For my first visit, I thought the food was alright. I would come back to try other items on the menu because it is pretty vast, so there is probably something more to my liking there. read more

Really cool spot! I was at the Planet Fitness across the street and looked up restaurants and bam! Awesome sandwich and awesome staff. They aren't just friendly, they are cool in a professional manner. It looks like they have a late-night vibe with live music too. I didn't hang around for that but there's a back area with another bar, a space for live music, pool tables, and high tops. Oh! And they have outdoor seating at the regular restaurant when the weather is nice. Definitely going to be my go-to spot in Hickory, replacing Kickback Jacks Hickory (still love the Mooresville KBJ though). Hickory Social House is highly recommended! read more

We stopped by Hickory Social House on the evening of October 18 for a casual dinner and a couple of beers. We went with the four-cheese pizza, which was very good, nice crust and the right balance of gooey, flavorful cheeses. The beer selection was solid too, with a nice variety of local and craft options to choose from. The service was great from a server named Bob. It seemed like a busy night, and the noise level was pretty loud and it was hard to have a conversation without raising my voice, but I guess that's part of the lively vibe they're going for. Overall, it's a fun spot with great food and drinks, but if you're looking for a quiet evening, this might not be the place during peak hours. I'll definitely be back, though and maybe next time I'll try one of their food options or just the pizza again. read more

Cool establishment with live music. Got the quattro cheese pizza and it wasn't bad at all. My husband enjoyed his cold cider. Looks like Halloween threw up all over the place so I couldn't tell you how it really looked. Service was really good though. For a bar/social hall it was good. The food was upscale bar food and comfort with some thought and creativity. The location is large and sectioned off with multiple bars. Unfortunately, it is also extremely loud to the point where the servers were struggling to communicate. The servers were very helpful and attentive. The service and ambience are really nice here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their attitudes were great, and it was pleasant to be there. They have inside and outside seating. Overall cool vibe of and similar to other restaurants in the area (Tap Room, Hickory Station, Backstreet and Hickory Tavern). The only issue I had was with the food. My fish tacos were extra salty and the side was cold. My son's pizza was okay but nothing special. Lastly, my daughter's salmon dish was decent but a little pricey. We were furniture shopping g and had our dog with us. Saw this place and what a wonderful place. The patio is great if you have a dog. Music was a nice touch. We had a problem with one of our burgers and this is where things were 5 star. Our burger came out rare and we asked for it to be cooked some more. In a few minutes the manager was at our table apologizing several times. Our burger promptly recook with additional apologies. It's rare to see anyplace jump to such action to make sure we were happy. Gaby was our server and I did not catch the manager name but what top notch h service to ensure we left completely satisfied. My wife was super excited to try this place. This was on our trip to Cherokee for my birthday weekend. Boy did things go from bad to worse here. When we arrived their was a place to stand and wait to be seated. Many people walked to and from this area with no greeting or otherwise acknowledgement of our existence. We were close to walking at this point and should have, however someone finally greated us. We were told it would be a wait which was fine. We asked if we could look around and grab a drink at the bar while we waited and were told this would be no problem. We went to the bar where we were ignored once again for a period of time. Eventually the bar tender told us we weren't allowed to stand by the part of the bar we were at and we told her we jist wanted to order a beer. She replied with "well my line starts over here" in a very rude tone as if we should have inherently known this......also this just in......there was no line......just a few people sitting in seats at the bar. We walked around to what the bartender had decided was the secret designated ordering area and were ignored once again.....by the person who we were literally just talking too. At this point we decided the Hickory Hoise didn't want our buisness. We started to leave and the hostess just happened to be with some people at the front door. She asked if we were leaving at which point my wife had to let her know how terrible our experience was and how we were essentially denied service. A manager was called over to try and make it right but by that point we were done. It should not take being ignored, disrespect and a manager to simply order a beer while we wait for a table. read more

We met friends Friday night at Hickory Social House at 6 pm, and the place was already bustling with patrons. We were seated in one of the last booths quickly and enjoyed a great meal with our friends. Service was pretty good. We had to get our own silverware from the bar, but it was packed, so we gave some grace on service. Two of us ordered the Deconstructed Margarita. Unless you just want a shot of tequila, I would avoid it. I had to ask for some mixer to add to it. The food, however, was excellent. We had The Favorite pizza, Crispy Artichoke Dip, and Beignets. Everything was fantastic. The restaurant has few soft surfaces, so it gets rather loud with the live music. We will definitely return. We had a great evening. read more

The "management" didn't want to call the cops because they were worried they'd be accused of over-serving too much alcohol to the already intoxicated. What's better than Saturday Brunch? How about Breakfast for lunch Tuesday through Saturday? I normally have a problem finding something to eat at most restaurants because I am a pescetarian. No problems here. Normally I have a hard choice to make at Social House between the Ahi Soft Tacos, the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, the Fish Tacos, and the pizza. Today I made the easy choice by having breakfast for lunch. The poached eggs were perfectly runny. The grits were creamy, cheesy goodness. The potatoes were nicely done. The Hollandaise was spot on. The bacon and sausage will make my dog very happy. This was probably one of the best breakfasts that I have had over the past decade. I make poached eggs and muffins at home. What a place to eat, chill, relax and entertain. My party of four all had different food: noodles, nachos, waffle burger and pizza. Each dish offered their own flare of spices, herbs and sauces that really complimented each other; and weren't overpowering. Actually, it seemed as if it was the classic "less is more". Pizza was thin crust with a lite crunch and just a smidgen on the burnt crisp side. Pasta was excellent with a pinch of heat and prefect set amount of sauce; again, not too much and not overpowering. The waffle burger... who knew?!? Eggcellent (pun intended) with a fresh ground patty and lightly syruped. Patty was juicy and cooked to perfection. And lastly, the nachos. The bbq sauce was ever so slightly tangy but a real small hint of heat. The pork was outta this world! An absolute "going back" type of restaurant. Family friendly. This is my family's fourth visit and my fifth or sixth visit to Hickory social house. The food is just not that great and tonight's experience will become an inside family joke for years. Orders are taken served out of sequence food, getting cold while the rest of our dinners arrived. I did the six day brined pastrami. I found a long blonde hair that I pulled out of my mouth. Management tried to make up for it with a cookie sundae that had another long blonde hair in it. I also can't say I appreciated the server or the service ... I dined here at the bar on Saturday night with two friends. The parking lot was packed when we pulled in & there would have been a 15 minute wait had we not elected to sit at the bar. The bartender was slammed with the bar & surrounding tables so service was a little slow but she repeatedly apologized for timing. I ordered the Pesto Margherita Pizza since I have had it before as a flatbread & I prefer it as a flatbread. I also added on the Tomato Soup, which I thought had an odd flavor. One friend ordered the Caesar salad & was disappointed with the portion size. Another friend ordered appetizers as a meal & she would not reorder or recommend the Frito Misto but the Bacon Wrapped Dates were a hit. We also dined last month for brunch with a couple other friends & those who ordered the Chimichurri Steak Tacos were not satisfied. Dishes that weren't favored seemed to be lacking flavor. Overall the food is decent but overpriced for the portions & lack of flavor; drinks were okay but not amazing. Great place!! Went on a Tuesday night as 1 of 6 people. Our waiter, Anthony, was very polite, courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I got the seared tuna rice bowl. The tuna was wild caught, ( thank y'all for having wild caught), and the tuna was some of the best I've ever had!!! Even from coastal restaurants. The others ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos, chicken quesadilla, pepperoni pizza, truffle mushroom pizza, and Cajun chicken Alfredo. Everyone LOVED their entrees. The atmosphere was really cool, kind of eclectic. Had an area on one side of the building with pool tables and darts. Other side there's tables, live music, and a private room for larger parties.
