Went in here for an early dinner without a reservation. Good thing we came in early as it filled up fast with regulars. We had a strawberry spinach salad and caprese for appetizers. The whole salad is large enough to split. We also tried the eggplant and sausage entree as well as the ravioli. Washed it down with a house chianti that was delightful. The sauces were spectacular and the in house made bread and high quality olive oil was perfect to accompany the dinner. Ambiance was just right with appropriate Italian themed music in the background. Service was perfect and did not feel rushed. There are some indications that people believed this is pricey but the quality of the food was excellent and commanded a higher price. Even though this restaurant is in a strip commercial setting, it is a real find! Hint shop the restaurant not the setting! We will be back to try the lasagna which is very popular. I love Italian cuisine, and I feel so lucky to have found this cute little restaurant near our home. We haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but if you have a chance to visit, you have to try the bruschetta and caprese. They are absolutely perfect--beautifully balanced, not too salty, with a baguette that's soft, slightly chewy, and perfectly crisp. The tomatoes are fresh and well-seasoned, and the mozzarella is so creamy and buttery. Everything just comes together so nicely . It's been years since I had been at this restaurant so I was delighted that it remained consistent all these years later. We were welcomed and seated immediately on a not so busy weeknight evening. We were offered bread service immediately, that lovely fresh bread with garlic oil was amazing!! We opted for the bruschetta for an appetizer, it was divine! The baguette was so good, and the tomatoes were fresh and plump! For the main, I ordered the gnocchi with vodka sauce and Italian sausage, while my partner had the Papperdelle dish. Both were fresh and the sauces were cooked well. The prices look scary but we agreed it was great value for money. Our server was great too. The interior has an old style Italian feel. i know this rating may look bad but it's really not. the food was great, everything was cooked very well and i ate every bite. the ambiance was pretty and it didn't feel cramped despite it being a small space. our waiter was courteous and checked on us regularly. the only problem i have is that the food is *very* pricey. my eggplant parm -- which, btw, did NOT come with pasta -- was more expensive than some of the meat dishes on the menu. it was a fairly large portion but i'm not sure if it was $35 large. speaking of the meat dishes, the majority of them come with sausage (pork) so for any other ppl that cannot eat it (like myself) just make sure you double check the menu! it's all listed. overall i had a good time and i enjoyed my food, but i'm unsure if i will return bc of the pricing. i understand that it's bougie woodinville but i think this may be a "one & done" type place for me. read more

We accidentally came across this restaurant last minute...a happy accident!! Simply stated, definitely go there, just know it is expensive but worth every penny since the food is amazing, service is great and it has a wonderful ambiance. The menu seems to have something for every pallet. Meat dishes, pasta, salads, beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetarian, etc. They do have gluten-free options. You just have to work with the server. Both dishes we got were sooooo delicious. Full of flavor. Dishes seem to start at $35 though so it is expensive but worth the price. You leave satisfied but not necessarily with leftovers. But it's not like some restaurants where you hardly get any food. They do start you with bread so that helps. The service was great. They really wanted to make sure we were happy with what we chose. And they were always there when we needed them. The restaurant is very small and a "mom and pop" place which I love supporting. It is done up nicely and is very cozy and classy feeling. We picked up a togo order with 2 apps and 2 mains for $116 before tip. We ordered the meatballs, calamari for apps and the carbonara, and lasagna for mains. It's been a while since we've been here and the last time we were here, the food was good, unfortunately, the food today was awful. Overall issues: The food was over salted across the board. Price: I'm happy to pay for dine-in and good food but was genuinely surprised by the $120 tab before tip. We paid, we tipped but shocking for 2 apps and 2 entrees. Specific Issues: the meatballs were dry, the lasagna was crispy and had WAY too much hamburger meat like it was made on the fly. It had like 1 layer of a noodles over hamburger meat and sauce The noodles weren't fully cooked as well.. The Carbonara was dry as well. Genuinely disappointed with the food, to the point where I had to cook dinner for the whole family, defeating the purpose of pickup. I did try to reach out to the restaurant to try and address the issues with them directly but we never got a call back. My husband and I wanted to find a new place to try for dinner tonight. We have lived in Woodinville for 18 years and finally decided to try pasta nova. We walked in and there was one other couple eating. We got greeted and sat right away. Water and menus were brought over. Our server then came over and took our drink order. When he brought the drinks to us he took our appetizer order. The food we ordered were the lemon rosemary scallops, the chicken Gorgonzola, and the classic risotto without the prawns. The scallops we amazing. It comes with three scallops and one large prawn. They were fresh and the sauce they had was delicious. It was perfect. The chicken Gorgonzola came out hot. The chicken and sauce was on a little pile of pasta and it was served with a little scoop of mixed veggies. The chicken was dry. It tasted like it was pre cooked chicken that they just heated up. The sauce had ok flavor. I ended up eating about 6 bites. My husband ordered the risotto. What a mistake. They used normal rice and it was way over cooked. There was literally a puddle of grease on the bottom of the plate. It was pretty blah. It tasted like rice with tomato sauce in it. The prices are waaaay to high for what you get. Both of our dishes were $45.00 each and neither one of us finished our meals. Crazy!!! Overall, the server was nice and he was attentive ( we were one of two tables in the place). Food wasn't very good and way over priced. The ambiance was nice. It's a small place and it's clean. We won't be back. Our favorite Italian fine dining spot.. we have been looking forward to coming here. It's like stepping into a relaxing culinary spa! The moment we step in, the Italian themed music, the lighting (mixture of sunlight shining through their lacy curtains and dark lighting inside) the waiter, the ambience is so calming...and lovely. My hubby and I are automatically in that dating mode when we step inside... It has been many months and we noticed the menu is slightly condensed and prices have slightly gone up. If it's to keep this place open, we are all for it! When we come here, the topic of conversation naturally default to everything we were eating.. even the complimentary bread and dip deserved to be raved about. The bread was so amazing we gravitate toward ordering the bruschetta so we can have more of that table bread and dump the remainder of that tasty garlic oil blend on top of my bruschetta. Nothing needs to go to waste when it's this good! The smoked salmon carpaccio was our regular go to. It just opens up your palate without filling you up. Even the arugula was amazing! My husband had me try his veal Marsala with papperdelle the Marsala wine sauce was so balanced.. he was so very happy with this dish... he completely forgot about the steak situation. (Originally came for their filet mignon but it's no longer offered.) I really enjoyed my linguine carbonara it was sooo perfectly made with the noodles perfectly coated with the emulsification from the pancetta fat, cheese and yolk. So creamy yet the hot black pepper created that perfect contrast. There are lots of pancetta goodness infused throughout the linguine it's the best carbonara dish! You cannot duplicate this at home! I purposely didn't finish my dish so I have something to look forward to for my long day at work tomorrow. This is a solid dish! 5/5 We ended with the perfect finish.. the hubby loved his chocolate cake with a tiramisu note (with its layers). I never veered from the beloved limoncello. It's a frozen dessert with lemon liquer. I can easily eat 10 of these in a sitting, it's THE reason why I come here. This place is a gem. The flavors are out of this world. My husband and I ordered the small Caesar salad and caprese salad to start. The Caesar dressing is creamy, citrusy and perfectly flavorful. The caprese salad had some of the best mozzarella I've had in a long time! For entrees we ordered the gnocchi a la vodka. and gamberon linguini - would order both again in a heartbeat! The vodka sauce was SO GOOD! The seafood was fresh, pasta was cooked perfectly...can't say enough good things! Not to mention the bread and olive oil concoction. My taste buds are happy! Chicken Tuscan: oh man that tang! Very good but might be too sour for some. The chicken is a whole breast fillet that you cut yourself. There is only one hunk of artichoke heart and one grape tomato on top of a few leaves of spinach. A slightly smaller proportion than what I'm used to but hey, that leaves you room for an appetizer or dessert. Rigatoni Amatriciana: personally I'm a big fan of rigatoni so I like this dish. Comes with sliced Italian sausage and chicken. Italian sausage is slightly spicy but nothing I couldn't handle--I'm extremely sensitive to spice and I was fine. read more

I took my daughter here for a mommy and daughter date night and I probably should have looked at the menu prices first because this place is pretty expensive! I don't think it was actually as kid friendly as I thought because they didn't have any high chairs or kids booster seats which I knew was a bad sign when I got there. Nonetheless, my 2 year old did pretty good. We arrived during a slow period (you know those early dinners with little kids), but when we finished the place was packed!! She really wanted pesto pasta, which they didn't have, but the chef was happy to make. Ut was bland for me, but my daughter housed it. She wanted ice cream after so we ordered some vanilla gelato, which was really good. Overall, I probably wouldn't take a small child here in the future. I also don't know if I'd come back based on the menu either, it I give this place 4 stars because of how they treated us- super well and accommodating. read more

A coworker recommended this quaint little Italian restaurant, so on our way to a Halloween party on Saturday we decided to give it a go. It is very cute inside. Traditional Italian flare you tend to see, but more intimate, which I quite liked. It gave the vibe you were in a basement joint in Brooklyn. The lighting was dim and warm. As were the staff... I'm pretty sure our server was the owner. He was adorable, demure and very kind. He made sure we were well taken care of. Our food was delicious, in a word. My mushroom ravioli was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Creamy and rich but not heavy, filled with a variety of flavorful mushrooms. Yum. Hubby got the spaghetti bolognese and was happy with his choice. That huge meatball he said was delicious, and I loved the sauce. It was so flavorful with a hint of spice. This is not the old spaghetti factory, prices are much higher, so I see us coming back for a special occasion or to introduce friends to it. read more

Don't let the strip mall vibe fool you. It's a little slice of Italy with cozy ambiance and Italian background music. Raphael will welcome you by name. Food and wine is to die for. We've had many date nights and several family celebrations here. We had actually heard about Pasta Nova awhile back from one of the wineries around Woodinville, but we never had a chance to try it. We recently moved into the area and decided to get take out. We were not disappointed! My husband and I shared the homemade meatball appetizer and the Pappardelle Amatriaciana. We asked for the pappardelle amatriaciana to be extra spicy. Even after we got home, the dishes were absolutely delicious! The meatball was tender and juicy (and also very large). I thoroughly enjoyed the pappardelle amatriaciana. It wasn't terribly spicy, but there was enough for a slow burn the more you ate. The pasta itself was the perfect level of chewy and sauce-covered, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sausage and the chicken pieces. They also gave us complementary bread, which we devoured in our attempt to get to every last drop of sauce. Heavily recommend this little joint! read more

This is a beautifully decorated space--especially for its strip mall location. Warm, inviting, and with a hint of opulence. The food was decent. The gnocchi were cooked perfectly. They were a good quality gnocchi, but they could be so much better if they were made in house. Fresh-made gnocchi have a fluffy, pillow like consistency that can't be duplicated by pre-made gnocchi (though the right cooking technique will get you part of the way there). The a la vodka sauce on the gnocchi was well done and tasty. The gorgonzola with pear ravioli were not as good. The sauce was kind of flat and bordering on bitter. Needed a bit of basil or something to freshen and liven it up. And the pears were a pretty skimpy portion for the plate size. The pears added a good balance, and more were needed. It's an okay place. I'd stop by if in the area and having a hankering for Italian. But I would not make a special trip to visit. read more

I've been here quite a few times before and the food was always decent, but the service was always slow and not particularly attentive. Nothing standout but good enough to come back. However, this time was a particularly poor experience. The restaurant was half empty but since I came in with a larger group of 7 people, we were prepared to wait a while. That said, we were told that they could not accommodate us at all - and not because there were outstanding reservations, or the restaurant was full, but simply because the kitchen did not want the "added burden" of having to serve 7 additional diners (we arrived at 7pm). We told them we could split up the groups, that the dishes could be fired and served whenever ready, and that we were willing to wait as we had already driven there. The hostess went back to the chef and was told there was no way we were getting served that night. Listen, I understand a larger group can be inconvenient, but we were willing to be as flexible as possible to be accommodated - we were polite, we were patient, and we were willing to wait. The restaurant isn't tiny - 7 people, half empty restaurant, at peak dinner times shouldn't gridlock any functioning kitchen. The arbitrary refusal of service was rude, the reasons kept shifting (oh, we actually have a lot of reservations later tonight), and then another group walked in without a reservation and was seated and accommodated immediately. As a local, building a community and dynamic around great service and positive interactions is what specifically brings me back to certain establishments. I've dealt with a number of different dining situations in which far more unreasonable requests were met with great service and attitude from owners or staff. The food is fine, but given this experience and interaction with the staff, we will not be coming back and instead recommend choosing somewhere else to spend your money. read more
