I love Pat the Dog! I usually take my puppy once a week when work gets kind of hectic and am able to leave him there all day. The staff are very friendly and are currently adhering to rules regarding Covid-19. Customers are not allowed inside and must call the store in order to talk to employees and the employees will come to your car and take your furry friend with them. My puppy has a blast every time he goes there and I know that he is always in good hands. They also have a grooming and a boarding section as well which allows your dogs to be pampered and well taken care of. I would eventually love to see the addition of cameras in the building so I could creep and watch my dog at all hours, but I will settle for their reports at the end of the day! Definitely a spot to check out if you need to let your dog chillax. read more

We just recently moved to The Groveland area " Pat the Dog " came recommended by neighbors. We went by to view facility too . We had a family funereal to attend & needed to board Kato our almost 2 yr old golden retriever . Kato was just neutered too and was wearing a plastic collar as to not bite or bother his incision . He was ( is ) on antibiotics for his surgery and they assured us that the cone would be removed when he ate etc . Kato was boarded from Thursday 9/30/21 & my husband just picked him him this AM Monday 10/4 /21. Upon getting home about 15 min drive from Pat The Dog ... Kato had a very bad Oder & the area under and around his collar was wet & very Groce . I took the collar off to find that his collar could not have been removed as his skin was raw , red & bleeding as I washed him & combed away hair that was coming out of his fur . I do not recommend this establishment for taking care of your beloved pet . When we toured the place the staff was very nice , seemed thorough , clean etc . But to come home after 4 days to this ! Kato is a well behaved Golden & I asked over the phone when my husband was there how he did . They reported fine etc. I had left written instructions on his twice a day normal kibble & chicken feeding ( he's a pretty easy dog ) . Again we hated to leave with his recent surgery etc , but had no choice . To my knowledge they gave him The antibiotic twice daily & treat at night before bed but his neck is raw & horrible! I have yet to hear back from the owner , staff did not say much just that she would pass the info along to " Pat " the owner & he would be in touch . If I could give less than 1 star I would . This is unacceptable for the care . Update .. I just received a call from the owner " Pat " . He was very nice and listened . He Is speaking with his " young staff " as he reiterated . With the pandemic & retaining employees he is spending more time in training his people he said . I will be keeping in touch with him about Kato, healing & vet bills . Our last day at Pat the Dog despite the fact that we have been customers for years. Their new thing is that the groomer has the freedom to randomly upcharge for anything under "extra care" without even letting us know. We got charged $20 extra because our last grooming on record with them was 12 weeks ago instead of their suggested 6-8 weeks. We were traveling and groomed our dog out-of-state during that period of time and still got charged $80 total without notice. NOT OK, but no big deal. See You Never. read more

Have been using this business for over 10 years but quality is definitely going down over the years. We left our dogs there for 10 days while on vacation and one of them came back full of fleas, scabs and crusts. Desperately scratching and distraught. Called to complain but owner still has to respond. Will not use their service again. read more

We leave our dog Hunter here for doggy day care. LOL, really we do. They are very loving and caring. One time when he was there he got dirty playing so they washed him before we picked him up. They offer grooming too and are very gentle. read more

One of my dogs still came home with a bit of stress diarrhea, but not as bad as when they stay at Pawsh Pet. My only concern with this place is that not ALL fences are 6-foot and they are so close to the main road. (My dogs are jumpers.) Also, there are ticks so be aware and treat your dogs. (Not Pat's fault as the old owners had it too because of the area...) read more

I have been a customer for many years of Fury Paws Delight Unfortunately this facility is now under new ownership and is now known as Pat the Dog. I left my dog, with Pat the dog for boarding based solely on my prior experience with Fury Paws Delight. I actually drive an hour each way to take my dog to this facility. I called Pat the Dog on Monday May 26, 2014 and spoke with Alisha to advise that I would be picking my dog up a day early Alisha advised me that they would be closing at 12:00PM. With this in mind I rushed to retrieve my dog prior to their closing. I called Alisha two additional times to advise of my ETA once I realized my GPS indicated I would arrive at 12:06PM and asked if someone could wait 6 minutes for me. Alisha advised that they closed at 12:00 and it was a holiday and we will see you tomorrow. I asked who was taking care of the animals if everyone's gone and she advised me that there was no one here from 7pm-7am. Really, I said there's no one taking care of the animals for 12 hours. Alisha promptly tried to cover up what she had just reviled to me. Without any help from Alisha I was able to contact Pat Caracciola (the owner). Pat did apologize and offered excuses for Alisha and the poor customer service that I received. We are very lucky this happened on the way back from our vacation instead of on our way out of town. This could have caused a trip cancellation over 6 Minutes! I think what's most disturbing is that per Alisha "there's no one here from 7pm-7am". Thanks Alisha for informing me about my dog's abandonment for 12 full hours. My dog deserves better! We will not be back. I left my dog Hank in the care of Pat the dog and when I returned 9 days later Hank was covered in crusty poop all over his bottom. I was so shocked to see him like this. I didn't notice the poop on his bottom until I got him to the car so instead of going back in and complaining I was worried about Hank being so messy so I took him to the groomer at you dirty dog so she can be a witness to the fact of how gross my dog looked I will never go back there again I just pray this message finds a lot of people and keeps them from going there I feel so guilty that I left my little man there and he suffered for so long they should have called me and let me know he had loose bowels read more

I've used this company for several years now to board my girls for as long as a week. They are always glad to see me, but are none the worse for wear. They do feeding, my low-cal treat program (frozen green beans), and administer thyroid meds to my biggest dog. Highly recommend them. read more

We board our Cocker Spaniel at Pat your Dog whenever we go on a cruise. Our dog is happy and content when we pick him up. He gets excellent and loving care. I strongly recommend this kennel to anyone looking to board their dog. read more
