We took our sweet dog, Lily to this clinic for years. She started having seizures, I asked numerous times why she was having seizures. The answer was she is a rescue so maybe she has a head injury, well you would think that test would be done to find out if that was the case, but no. I had to ask for an MRI which showed nothing wrong in the brain. I asked if they could do a lower extremity MRI/XRAY, etc. They did not feel it was necessary They kept our poor baby on multiple anti-seizure medications without investigating the issue that was causing the seizures. Long story short, Lily woke up one Sunday acting very ill. We took her to the animal ER and the vet found cancer of the spine which had spread due to being undetected. We had to put her down. It was awful. She was my soul dog! I miss her so much. Also, we had a cat that was a feral cat that we rescued, he had feline aids. He began to get sick and we kept asking what the prognosis was and each time getting an encouraging report that he would be okay. He ended up losing so much weight, he looked emaciated and Pine Ridge told us he would need to be hospitalized there for a couple of days which was a couple of thousand dollars. We had no problem paying the money if the prognosis was truly positive. Two days after the hospitalization he was still terribly sick. We asked the staff again if he was going to recover fully because he had lost so much weight and if he was in pain. They told us we should probably put him down. You mean to tell me they didn't know that two days prior? We had literally paid so much money to this clinic and the care for our beautiful pets was not a good experience. I hope that this review will be used for the staff to reframe their thought process their protocol and communications with patients and the sweet animals they care for every day. I hope they listen to the owners of their pets. Usually, owners have a good sense when things are wrong. read more

This place was amazing. We couldn't get our dog in to our normal vet and there was something serious going on with her. They said if we could get her there by 5 they would get her in. Of course it wasn't the news we wanted and decided to put her down but they gave us all the time we needed before and after. My experience with this clinic is similar to the others. The vet never takes time to meet with you, instead using techs to relay information as they hear it. I brought my dog in for a tail problem, instead he was treated for an eye condition I was already aware of. $800.00 later I figured out what was ailing my pet, and the vet clinic was basically useless. I gave one star because the building was very clean and the employees are polite. Normally I would have questioned the charges, but a week earlier we suffered a loss that took the starch out of me. I took my dog Scary here because he was coughing and gagging. They did tests, and an echocardiogram. It turns out, he had an enlarged heart and needed to be on furosomide and Vetmedin for life. He was doing great on these meds! All his symptoms went away. They only gave me 10 pills, so when I had 2 pills left, I called them to get more. They told me they were out!! I asked if he would be ok if he didn't have any until they got more. They said he would. THEY LIED! Scary's symptoms returned immediately. I even ordered Vetmedin on line, but Pine Ridge had to ok the order because it was by prescription only. That was Thursday. It took the online store 2 attempts before the vet ok'd it. I didn't find out until Saturday that it had been ok'd. It was going to take several days before the meds could get to me. Why didn't the vet check other vets in town to see if they had any of this in stock? (They had to know his life was in danger if he didn't have these pills.) I decided that I would do just that on Monday. On Sunday night, Scary died!! If Pine Ridge had told me this would happen when I first called them, I could've found the meds at another vet! He would still be alive!! Because they neglected to tell me that, my sweet baby boy is dead. I will never use Pine Ridge Pet Hospital ever again! They killed my dog! I hope they read this and learn from it, so no other pet parent has to go through the devastation of losing their best friend like I did. read more

Our little dog is dead After spending nearly 700$ to diagnose our little dog Scary, we learned he would have to be on medication for life. They told us their pharmacy would be able to refill his prescription and sold us about 20 doses. When we tried to refill they said the medicine was on back order. WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL US THAT FIRST SO WE COULD MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS? We found it online but couldn't get it in time. We ran out 3 days later and Scary died in distress staring at us begging for help. This is completely unforgivable. There are ZERO stars in a black hole. read more

I have absolutely nothing nice to say about this practice. I took my almost 2 year old Boston Terrier in on Monday because he had been ill since Saturday night, Sunday he started vomiting and had some diarrhea I had gotten him to eat Saturday night but come Sunday he wanted nothing to do with food. He was just laying around come Monday I called they are going to work him in between appointments. So I drop him off I get a call he's not cooperating and they will have to sedate him ok fine figure out what is wrong. So long story short Dr Clarke calls I can not find anything wrong....what????something is definitely wrong so I go to pick him up they gave him some meds still no idea what they are treating him for so good ole Pineridge called Tuesday still not better well give him time with his meds ok we will call this evening or in the morning never heard a word. So Wednesday still no improvement I take a fecal to a vet tech friend who finds coccidea and giardia. Pineridge never ran a fecal so yesterday Wednesday I'm on my way home from said friends house my husband calls my poor baby passed. They are nothing but crooks they do not care about your pet only money I over heard that sitting in the waiting room from a conversation with a receptionist and vet tech. I was charged $599 for my dog to die So good ole Pineridge calls this morning I tell them he passed explained what I found and they had no answer why no fecal was run. If you love your animal please stay away from these money hungry people. Let me also add they killed my grandmother's dog 10 years ago they treated her gave her a shot my grandma took her dog to the car in the ac went to go pay her $200+ Bill went back to her car dog was dead. If I could give more stars I would! This place is just absolutely amazing! They are so caring and attentive. I had a very sick kitty that needed to have a feeding tube put in. I was feeling helpless and afraid that my fur baby would not make it. They took great care of her! They went way above and beyond by calling to check on her after I took her home and they called me every few days to follow up on her. I live pretty far from them but needed a cost effective place to have her procedures done. Their prices were very reasonable but the service was exceptional! I wish I was closer to them. read more

We thought our dog had got into something because his nose had dried out on so we called and we're able to get him in the same day. When we arrived, we went back to the room within 5 minutes and seen by the vet shortly after. They went through many different things it could have been and gave some things we could try at home to help. We're we're also explained that if those didn't help, there was other options to biopsy. Overall, it was comforting to hear and I felt better when we left. The vet even walked us to check out. I will definitely return in the future! read more

, my first visit there was for a limp in my puppies front left leg in September of 2022. After 15 X-Rays and a $537.50 bill, they couldn't find anything wrong or give me a diagnosis to help my puppy heal. My puppy healed on his own after a month. I should have not gone back after that, but I did. This time for bad diarrhea. It was a few days before Christmas, so I did the urgent care, which is a $75 dollar charge, which they asked me to pay upfront. I find that insulting since I've already been there a few months earlier and they didn't have any issue with me paying in full. Anyway, I dropped my pup off and I called them after 4 hours had gone by with no update. They had told me they had an emergency surgery and that is why they hadn't gotten back to me, they were trying to get caught back up. Told me they would e-mail me the things they wanted to do and for me to pick out which ones I wanted done. It seemed so crazy to me that I'm supposed to decide what needs to be done, I'm not the doctor. They had all kinds of test on the email which had no explanation of what they were for and adding up to over $600.00. X-Rays, Parvo Test, Fecal Test, Blood Work Test, Injection, Etc... All I needed was the medication for Diarrhea and my dog would have been fine. So, after paying them $465.79. I choose to find another Veterinarian. BTW, I never once saw or met the Veterinarian Doctor on either visit, just the technician. They should have just given me medication for the diarrhea first to see if that cleared it up instead of all those unnecessary tests. I personally will not go back again. read more

I hope doctor Forrest or whoever owns this clinic can read this review. For the last 5 years, we have taken all of our pets including 4 cats,2 dogs and their surprised 10 puppies here for everything. Today is the last straw, it would be the last time I step foot in this place. 2 weeks ago I took one of the cats in for a urinary tract infection and paid over $1200 because they wanted us to leave him with them for 2 nights. The day we came to pick him up, we waited in the lobby for over 40 minutes to see him (from the way my cat was laying all messing with his blanket in the carrier seemed like they were rushing to put him back in there) my husband was so frustrated he walked out and I had to deal with the rest. I was like you know what maybe they were short staffs so I let it go. Until 2 weeks later, my husband got a call from them said that the doctor wanted to see him to check his bladder and Thursday 6/17 was the only day available. Instead of working overtime so I can pay all these bills, I took the day off, brought him in, and the nurse took him to the back and came out 10 minutes after and told me the doctor wasn't even there and there was no note stated that they need to check his bladder?? She told me they didn't even take him out of the carrier and asked me a bunch of questions about how he was doing? Any sign of pain? Like why didn't you just ask me that on the phone??? Instead of making me drove there and told me I have to make another appointment for another checkup in July when the doctor is there??? Doctor Forrest, we love this doctor because she's always good with our pets but idk how you guys run this place but this experience is not acceptable. It was not worth the amount of money and time we have spent all these years. read more

My cat, Smokey, is a very nervous, large cat. Everyone at Pine Ridge was positive and patient, allowing him to calm and allowing me to remain next to him so he felt more confident in his surroundings. He never even felt his shots, I don't think! We brought our pet there with some pretty obvious signs of an issue. We've paid hundreds of dollars so far for them to tell us that our pet is fine and probably just has gastro intestinal issues. Expensive imaging revealed nothing according to them, as did a physical exam. I'm no doctor of any kind but even I can see that there are very obvious physical signs that indicate there is a problem. Probably won't be returning as I feel I have wasted a lot of money for barely any answers. read more

Extremely caring and compassionate staff! They listen carefully and explain everything thoroughly about my animals. On one occasion in particular I brought my daughter's Caledonian Crested gecko in. She was in bad shape. The dr and assistant carefully looked her over and diagnosed the problem, a calcium deficiency. They said they could X-ray her and perform tests, but the expense was unnecessary. They're not motivated by greed like many other veterinarians. They sold me a supplement for about $15 to feed her to try and bring her around. They said unfortunately she may not make it. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. They said it's typical for geckos to seem completely fine, but once they show symptoms of sickness they're usually too far gone to recover. My daughter was so distraught, and they were so kind in trying to comfort her. The next day they called to see how our Gecko was doing and asked if I had any concerns. The gecko got much better at first, but passed away within a month. It was sad, but we had the comfort of knowing we did all we could for her. Thanks to the caring staff at Pine Ridge animal hospital. They genuinely care for the animals. read more

Our dog (Boxer) had been taken care of by her "normal" vet. She has a hematoma in her left ear. Her original vet performed surgery, sutured it back up, wrapped her up, and we brought her home. I repeatedly asked at the time of drop off, at pick up, and at three subsequent visits inclusive of when she had her sutures removed if she should have an antibiotic for her ear. My questions were dismissed with a cavalier attitude. For nearly three weeks my wife and I cleaned up fluid seepage and, after the sutures were removed and we were told not to bandage, blood. Blood spattering everywhere as she shook her head. We tried bandaging but couldn't make it work. We took her to the Emergency Vet in Casselberry (it was a Sunday and after hours) where they provided meds to calm her down, drained her ear, injected a steroid in the ear, treated her for a major infection in that left ear as well as a minor one in the right ear, and rewrapped her. They were great and nicely told us she should have had an antibiotic provided at the time of the surgery by her vet. Then we took our poor drugged-up dog back home. I emailed Pine Ridge via their contact page on the web and was called immediately the next morning when they opened. They got her in at 9:40, we went straight to a waiting room which she made look like a crime scene with all the blood everywhere, and they exhibited the kind of professionalism one would only expect for a human being's care. They were kind, compassionate, professional, and efficient. They provided various options, took the time to educate me on "old school vs. new school" methods of care for this problem, and we agreed on a solution. It is the following day and Juno now has antibiotics, an ear which is healing, drugs to keep her from shaking her head so much, and is still bandaged so she can heal. We have a home that isn't blood-stained and we have our girl being taken care of like she should have been in the first place. We also have massive credit card bills now for lousy treatment by her prior vet, an emergency room visit we should not have had to do to begin with, and the very reasonable charges by Pine Ridge to fix everything the prior vet screwed up. What is even worse about her prior vet is that, even though the Emergency Clinic faxed everything over to him that night, that vet has not even called us to check on Juno, to apologize for our inconvenience and expense, or shown any concern whatsoever over what happened. No appreciation from him at all after years and years of routine care. I will not disparage the prior vet by name but believe he is past his prime and, in our case, did more harm than good. If you want a place that will treat you and your pet with dignity and professionalism then you want to bring them to Pine Ridge. Get it taken care of right the first time - at Pine Ridge. read more

Wonderful staff of pet loving people made me feel very comfortable leaving my rescued baby girl there for spaying. They found out she was already spayed and just charged me for the anesthesia. My elderly boy needed emergency surgery last week. They were wonderful though the process. Kept me informed and took great care of him.

My young Collie who I loved dearly became very sick, and my regular vet could not see her for a week, and I knew I couldn't wait that long. I was referred over to Pine Ridge Pet Hospital by my daughter and her husband...who his family have used them for years. They were able to see her within the hour, for which I was so grateful. When I arrived, they were all so very kind, and knew she was sick, and immediately began to do tests. The tests showed that her kidneys were shutting down due to genetics or poisoning, and I was devastated. Their compassion kindness, concern and understanding during this time was so incredible. They let me stay with her for as long as I wanted before putting her down, and I was able to love on her, and say good-bye. Dr. Crayton and his assistant Dustin, along with Ashley were beyond compassionate, and I am so thankful for their understanding. Just yesterday I received a sympathy card from them with a little notes from all the staff, I can't even begin to say how much that meant to me. Thank you Pine Ridge Pet Hospital for helping me through this very, very difficult and shocking time, and thank you for giving so much love to Lizzie during her last hours. My husband and I, just moved to Deltona, and we had to go out of town, 2 weeks after we settled in. We have a small Chihuahua, I could not take her on the trip with us. I was very nervous as I did not know the area and have no family members in the area that could keep my little dog. I saw Pine Ridge Clinic as I was going down the road, and called them. Still very nervous as I had no information about them. I called and ask them about boarding and having my dog checked out while there. They were extremely friendly, the vet, dr. Navarro, was very knowledgeable and did not try to overcharge us for any services rendered. She was very friendly, and did not try to sell us anything that my dog did not need. We chose to leave our dog there for boarding, for 4 days. They were very good to her, and they understood my dog being nervous as she has never been boarded. I highly recommend Pine Ridge Clinic for anyone that needs a good vet or boarding. I will continuously be going there now for my pets needs.
