From the time I made the reservation to pickup, I felt very comfortable leaving my two cats with them. It was my very first time using there service. They explained in detail what I needed to provide for them, and they also gave me a tour of their facility so I could choose their lodging space. We communicated a few times via email as my reservation was approaching. The girls at the front desk and handlers of my kiddos were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to take care of them. I have taken my dog to them since 2018.. after Covid I didn't use them because I had family near by ti watch her. I started back last year I returned and when I picked her up, she had poop in her bed and poop on her. She got home and she had watery stool and would not eat. I tried talking to a manager but one was never in duty when I called. After much consideration I brought her back for Easter weekend. When I picked her up, she was anxious, her bed had poop stains once again and it seemed like they washed it but did not remove the memory foam and the bed memory foam was still wet. I did not get my blanket back (they can keep) and once again my dog has watery poop. I'm not sure what they are feeding her but they couldn't have feed her the food I brought! I never had this problem when we first started taking her in 2018, so I am not sure what changed besides employees. I'm not putting my dog or me through this stress. read more

For reference-- I've used this establishment to board my 3 dogs for the last 4-5 years. Never had an issue until today, and now I'm worried about any treatment my dogs may have received while I have been gone, considering how they spoke to me today. So, I called today to change some dates for boarding my pets, no big deal. However, within the first minute of the call, I get cut off to hear the worker yell aggressively at the dogs to "shut up". HUGE red flag. LITERALLY as I'm on the phone with her. Anyways, I continue to talk to her about changing the date. She starts to tell me my dogs have never been there, nor do any of them have a file. (My dogs have been going here for 4-5 years????) Ummm ok. ...She then proceeds to tell me that my dogs "are probably not vaccinated" and that's why they're not in the system. --First of all, I bring paperwork every time AND I stay up to date with their paperwork. So that's definitely not the case, and a rather rude assumption to tell someone i'm my opinion. Then, the attitude starts. I explain to her my confusion, then She aggressively states "I already told you, you're dogs aren't in here." and then she YELLS-- YELLS-- "What even is your name?!" (I told it to her 2-3 times at this point) In that moment, I go "You know what, you are extremely rude and unprofessional. I will never bring my dogs back to your establishment if this is how you speak to the OWNERS of the pets." and of course, she proceeded to yell and scream at me. ...At this point, I ask to speak to the owner, and she goes "No owner here, but I AM the office manager" and then just hung up. JUST HUNG UP?? So unprofessional and rude!!! So hopefully Miss STEPHANIE's boss will see this. I asked her to let me speak to the owner to complain, but clearly she knew her words were out of line and didn't want to get in trouble. I will be leaving a review like this for this establishment everywhere I can, I have never been spoken to so rudely. And I have been a loyal and easy customer for far too long to get treated and spoken to like that. Don't even bother giving them your time or money-- I wish I never sent my babies here. Dear Yelp CONTINUED.... went into update my review of Pet Lodge & Spa, and surprised to see that my location had changed from Leesburg, FL to San Francisco, CA. Really? Here are additional details since Lucy's pickup at Pet Lodge on 10/21/23: 1) her back legs give out when attempting to walk; perhaps she was put in a kennel instead of play room with smaller dogs (which was her usual routine) thus your text indicating she had been moved to a room by herself; she is scheduled to see the vet next Wednesday for evaluation. 2) When she got home, Lucy seemed stressed; she started hiding in corners, under tables, in closets and behind doors. Can't help but think this was because there'd been a confrontation with other dog(s). In any event, I will find more appropriate accommodations for Lucy and suggest others use due diligence and keep an eye on the camera feed, that is if it's working. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could! We left our fully vaccinated 6 month old puppy for a week back in November. When we picked him up - he smelled horrible. Like he was left to sit in his urine all week! We noticed his bark was a little hoarse immediately but by the next day he has an infection in both eyes and couldn't bark. We took him to the vet and they diagnosed him with a respiratory infection. We spent more on vet bill, xrays and meds then we did on our trip. If you care about your fur babies, don't let them come here! read more

This place is the best! When my dog comes here they treat her like one of their own and truly love her. My dog loves it here and gets excited when we pull it to parking lot. The staff are also amazing. Definitely a good place to take your pet. read more

UPDATE : The owner contacted me and invited me to coffee. What a wonderful man. He addressed my customer service concerns and I left the meeting comfortable that he is genuinly trying to provide a great environment for the pets and friendly atmosphere for humans. I received a call from the office manager stating that my dog was missing his vaccination records and that his boarding (which started today until the 24) would be cancelled if I did not email ot ASAP.. I emailed the certificate (this had been sent before). I called to confirm that she had received it. She said she did and we hung up. I arrived to the pet lodge at 1 and had to send my son to request a loner leash because I had forgotten ours at home. The lady was really rude to him (he is 13 years old and very well mannered) and requested my presence. When my son came outside he said I needed to bring our pet at 12 noon and that the lady said she had told me that over the phone. I told him she never said that and proceeded to go inside the lodge. The office manager was very rude and even raised her voice at me in front of another customer who was there having a try out for their dog. I told her in a very respectful manner that she never stated drop off times and that she only requested vaccination records. I politely requested the owners name and email and she refused to give it to me. This must have bothered her because she followed me out and yelled in the parking lot she was not boarding my dog. She really did me a favor because from the moment I saw her demeanor I had a bad vibe and was not going to leave my pet there. I'm glad I saw their true colors. If that was how they treated a paying customer... imagine how they are going to treat your babies that cannot speak... blessing in disguise. We ended up at the wonderful Green K9. Our pet is so happy there and I am at peace that he will be loved and well taken care of. As for that lady, she needs a course in customer service and as a business owner I would not want anyone like that working for me. read more

Dropped my dog off for the weekend while I was out of town, paid extra for the cams so I see my dog play with other dogs! Sunday when I looked back at the cameras all the lights were off in all the rooms at about 9 I though okay maybe someone was running late looked back at around 11 and the lights were still off all the chairs looked the same as before like the dogs hadn't been let out yet. When I looked at the cameras Monday morning all dogs were still in kennel and the little dogs were outside, when they got around to letting all the medium and large dogs out a couple dogs from all the rooms peed on the chairs and all over the floor, it seems like they don't even really take the dogs out to relieve themselves. Needless to say I will be looking for other dog kennels to take my dog to from now on. read more

Had to come to the area from out of town, as my Mother passed away. Took both of my female dogs here (10yo Westie, and 2yo Miniature Australian or American Shepherd). They were boarded for almost a week. I love the fact that I can check up on my girls, on my phone, whenever I want. I saw them when they were in their assigned play area, or dog potty area. I was unable to see them in their kennel at night and when they were eating, which I will make sure to call early next time to change that, and have them placed in a different dog kennel, where they can be seen by the cameras. My Westie and Aussie were kept together to keep them both at ease. I will say that the kennels could be larger. My Westie is 18lbs and my Aussie flexes between 22 and 24 pounds. They had 2, off the floor beds in their kennel, which took up the entire floor space. But, that being said, they give you a discount for the second dog in the same kennel. Where I live in South Florida, they do not give a discount, but they are placed in a huge indoor run, so I guess it is a trade off. When I first checked on my girls, they had them in the nursery area with teeny tiny sized pups (less than 10lbs.) My dogs are very sweet, so it was not an issue for the other dogs, it was just that the Nursery was very small, and all the dogs in there just laid there and did not play at all. They explained that my Aussie was not spayed, so they would not put my dogs in the play area with an non-neutered male, even though she was not in heat, and could not get pregnant. (If you have your dog(s) here every day for doggie day care, they get first priority in the play areas over first timers, or only there for boarding) clients. Which is completely fair in my opinion. Pick up went very smoothly, except for the fact that my dog had her usual upset stomach. That is entirely my dogs nerves, and personality, and not a negative on the Kennels part. My Aussie gets this way whenever I board her, sister with her or not! Our final thought--we would definitely take our dogs back here again. read more

Went to check out this place the other day with a friend and I was NOT IMPRESSED. When we walked in the girl at the front desk looked spaced out. Told her we wanted to check out the place. She told us to wait as she went and told someone that people are here to check it out. There were 2 girls in the back area and NOBODY was keeping an eye on the dogs. The place looks very out dated, dogs were standing on chairs, nothing for them to play with and the pens where the dogs sleep are small. Much better places out there. Think twice about having your dog stay here. Cut our vacation short when our dog was bit in nose 1st day. Had to send friend over to check. Then saw our dog get put in ' time out' .When we called employee lied about what happened when we were watching incident. Staff does not seem to be watching and very little contact to dogs. DO NOT LODGE PETS HERE! Our dog stayed with them while we were on vacation for a week. We came back to mattress ($100+) ruined; which they tried to hide by placing the stuffing in a waste-deposit bag and then bagging the mattress in a folded manner to where the gaping hole did not show. Moreover, they put our dog in harms way, when he digested pvc pipe from the pet furniture in their establishment and he also developed 2 hygromas (pressure sores that do not go away once developed) from them not providing adequate lodging. Very disappointed! The owner was unbending to make amends & became pretty defensive verbally. read more

My two dogs stayed two nights and never will again. They were both supposed to be in the nursery the whole time, but on the last day they were moved into a larger room with bigger dogs. We were told it was because one of them was anxious and barking too much. We checked on them frequently and never saw them being taken out during the day. We actually watched our female have a bowel movement in the middle of the room. She never has accidents and always waits until she is brought out. The last night they were there we witnessed the guy that was working use what appeared to be one of the large pet beds to push our two dogs (one has a bad knee that staff was aware of) and a small Chihuahua type dog out of the room. We were told when we picked them up and complained that they use them to guide them out, but they would be sure to let the owner of the other dog know that it had happened. I am sure they did not inform the owner. Both dogs were extremely lethargic when we picked them up. When we arrived at home they both ran to their dishes and started to whine over the water bowl. When we gave them water they drank it so fast it caused one of them to vomit. This led me to believe they were not supplied with adequate water. The smaller of the two dogs also had very loose stools for 4 days after arriving home and both dogs have been sneezing. I thought we would be happy with this place because we could monitor our dogs on the cameras all day, but it actually just provided us with proof that the care they were given was not what it should have been. When we saw that they had been put into the larger room we changed our plans and left early to get them out of there. read more
