All of us decided to go for a pound of crab each, which came out to about two to two-and-a-half clusters per order. The crab was cooked perfectly--not overdone at all--which made it easy to enjoy! For sides, we had a nice variety. I ordered the baby bakers, which are steamed baby potatoes in butter, along with corn on the cob. I was especially glad the corn wasn't frozen, since that's something you often run into at other places. Both girls got the mac and cheese, which was a solid side, and her friend ordered the onion rings. Those were lightly fried with a nice crisp texture and just the right amount of salt. Our server, a sweet blonde lady with what sounded like a Russian or Polish accent, was attentive and made sure we had everything. The restaurant also had a magician walking around performing card tricks for tips which was fun! Overall, everything was well-prepared and enjoyable and we will be back! read more

Man. This was amazing. We went at a weird time of day so it was a ghost town but the service and food was still great. Started with the jalapeno poppers, you get six and they were great with the house made ranch. For the main we got the fish and chips (GREAT chips), grouper po boy, and grouper sandwich. The grouper was good but my husbands steak was tough. We waited 45 mins to be seated and it took another 45 minutes to get our mediocre food. I understand they were busy but I probably will not go back. Our waitress was excellent and she was not only taking orders but delivering food and cleaning tables. We put our name on the waitlist at 6:20pm. We walked out of the door at 9:20pm. It was an 40 min wait which turned into an hour 20 wait. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive to only be very mediocre. We had very high hopes based on reviews but we will not be back. We were in PCB for 6 days. Found Salty Sue's on day 5! OMG best steak, coconut shrimp, sides and our bartender, Jayda, was awesome! So personable, fast, and handled entire bar during dinner rush and a full bar of dinner service also. The Rib Eye was one of the best steaks I have had recently! For my dad's birthday, he chose Salty Sue's. It ended up being hit or miss. First of all, my sweet tea was really sweet and refreshing. After consulting a lot of photos on Yelp, this non-seafood eater went with the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was good when it wasn't overdone and burnt. They did give me a good size portion with 2 leg quarters and maybe they felt sorry for making me wait so long (more on that in a moment), they threw in a 3rd one for no charge. The potato salad was my favorite as it was the baked potato type. The beans were not your run of the mill Bush beans style. This meal gave me enough faith to try their pulled pork or ribs if there is a next time. But if you are planning on going to Salty Sue's, don't plan on doing anything else. We arrived at 7 on a Tuesday night in July. It took 45 minutes to be seated. That didn't bother me. What bothered me was that it took 10 minutes for a waitress to greet us, 10 minutes to bring us our drinks and take our order. We finally got our food 40 minutes after ordering it. We arrived at 7 and started eating at 840. I should be leaving at 840 on a Tuesday night. Overall the food was pretty good especially the sides and sweet tea, but if you are in a hurry or have somewhere to be at a specific time, go elsewhere. read more

Service was timely and the overall impression was that this was a favorite place for locals and visitors. So the heart of my review is this: When a couple comes in and the server makes a presumption that the MALE is going to pay the bill, then some servers pour the attention on the guy that's paying. We were quoted a 45 minute wait time and provided our cell phone number for notification. Salty Sue's sends a confirmation text so you know they have the right number! While we waited for we stopped by the bar for drinks. They had the best virgin strawberry daiquiris with whipped cream! They also came in a fun reusable cup. The adults opted for beers! Service at the bar was fast and accurate. We then headed outside to wait for our table. They have benches along the side of the building to sit and wait and a tiny lip off the porch for the younger folks to sit as well. It was an easy wait, but we waited the full 45 minutes or longer. One confusing thing, we checked out the menu online while we waited and were surprised the menu for dinner was different from online. Menu didn't include sandwiches. When our table was ready we were seated in the main dining area near the bar and with many TVs with baseball, our favorite! Our server was nice and stopped by almost immediately. We ordered drinks and chose the Grouper nuggets for our appetizers. The nuggets came out quickly and were fresh and delicious. Our main meal took a lot more time - we ordered the kids chicken tenders with Mac n cheese, kids fried shrimp, Jamaican jerk chicken, and ahi tuna dinner. Once it arrived we had devoured it all - it was really delicious. They boasted about the BBQ and I'm glad I tried it. It was spicy and juicy and simply yummy! The ahi tuna portion was very large and my husband loved it. My son loved the Mac n cheese! Best part is they had a magician walk around and do tricks for kids! My wife was looking for some great seafood options. She was disappointed. Our server on the other hand took very good care of us. She was attentive but not over bearing. My wife and I were staying in Panama City Beach and we took a mile and a half walk to Salty Sue's for some BBQ. My favorite type of restaurant. It was pretty dark in the bar, so we sat at a booth across from the bar. Our server was super nice and I ordered a mango IPA, which was really good! My wife ordered a side salad and I ordered the large pulled pork sandwich lunch special with grits and black beans. It was A LOT of food. It came out about 8 minutes after ordering and the meat was a little cold, but I have found that BBQ here in PCB is always not hot. OK. Maybe it is a thing. The meat was great and I could only finish half of it and the grits were creamy and delicious. The beans weren't anything special, but they were hot as in temperature wise. The side salad was very lackluster. Basic iceberg lettuce with a few slices of tomatoes and cucumbers. I would totally go here fr the lunch special again though.
