I was just there today around 12:17PM for 12;30 appointment. There was another patient in the waiting room, who was listening to some kind of podcast on his phone, which was pretty loud. He was a black guy in his 40s or 50s with glasses, wearing brown t shirt. I nicely asked "Would you mind muting the sound, there's too much noise around here between office music and multiple receptionists talking to patients". This guy went off, told me this is free country, it's America, and I should read the Constitution, and refused to turn it down. I said I was just asking for courtesy in a public place, and he said I was mentally crazy. At this point, he looked pretty aggressive and threatening. He said if it's noisy, go tell the receptionists to be quiet, which was a nonsense. I felt unsafe, and judging by his demeanor, he might follow me when I leave the office. I talked to the doctor, receptionists and other employees there that I didn't feel safe, and found out this guy is a regular patient and is quite aggressive toward female employees there too. The office manager needs to do something about this guy. If I see this guy next time I visit for the eye exam, I'm gonna leave with the exam. Do not want to be in the same place with someone like this, feeling unsafe. I feel sorry for female employees who need to put up with him. read more

Worst Eye Doctor I've ever been to! I've had glasses for 25 years and I can say hands down the doctor (who didn't even tell me his name) is the worst one. He traps patients in here for hours and has them lined up in rooms. Maximum 10 in waiting room, 5 in rooms, and 3 getting "exams." They dilated my eyes so I couldn't see close. It was supposed to be 10 minutes but had me waiting 40 minutes and forgot to test the eyes! When the doctor finally comes in, he comes into the room with his suit and his helpers and runs back and forth between multiple patients at once. He should be out of practice! Doctor is money hungry and belittling. Will nickel and dime you here for poor service, unclean facilities, and overpriced fake eye exams. I will be reporting this business to the insurance! Stay far away from Patel Associates! read more

NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! I tried posting this after my mother's appointment last week on google reviews but it was never posted or they took it down I am so upset and SHOCKED that this office is ok with having someone intoxicated walking around "working". I heard this man from another room yell his name and saying he "doesnt give a god damn". I'm not saying his name but it sounds like the letter J. Unmarked building, 2 hour wait in a standing room only dirty waiting area, then was shuffled from room to room for different exams, none of which were explained, one tech left me in the peripheral vision test machine for 20 minutes with one eye covered while she went to help someone else. Dr. Patel though, was excellent and caring, but the staff is horrible, when Dr. Patel's associate said I needed a LPI in 10 days the receptionist said "He says that about everyone, we don't have any appointments that soon." and rolled her eyes. I ended up going elsewhere for my procedure due to the environment and the staff. I hope Dr. Patel sees this and makes some changes, he can do better. read more

Surprised to see such low reviews on this site. I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for the better part of 10 years at the time of this review. I incurred an eye injury back in 2014 and went to 4 other specialists who all told me that my vision was "fine" even though I was having visual distortions and double vision. Dr. Patel and staff put me through multiple advance diagnostics and diagnosed my condition correctly at my first visit. He also sat down with me and went over what the condition entailed, showed/explained the diagnostics and how he arrived at the conclusion, and patiently answered all of my questions. At the time, there was little that could be done for my issue other than invasive treatments. After a little while of monitoring care he made me aware of a new treatment to hit the markets a few years after my initial diagnosis when the condition began to worsen. I now get injections into my eye a few times a year. I would not trust any other doctor to perform this treatment on me. His staff is always very considerate, especially since this is not something I have grown accustomed to, despite having been doing it for years. Dr. Patel is also very attentive and has never rushed me or failed to fully address any questions or concerns I've had at any visit. He has even fit me in for unexpected appointments instead of the generic "if you're having an emergency, go to the ER" spiel that I have gotten many times from other doctors and offices. The office is normally pretty busy, and I rarely get into my appointment on time (though I try to show up 10 minutes early). While not ideal, the wait to be seen is rarely as long as I typically experience at other medical offices. Just had a specialist appointment (unrelated) two weeks ago and waited TWO HOURS to be seen. With Dr. Patel I'm typically taken in within 10-20 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. I have had no issues with the front office staff. Typically I just sign in, make my copay, and schedule a recheck before I leave, so my interactions with them tend to be minimal. No one, in the office as a whole, has ever been rude or dismissive of me. I can state, without hesitation, that Dr. Patel is the best doctor I have. He has never once dismissed a question or concern of mine. And if I tell him I've having an issue, he LISTENS. So many other doctors (unaffiliated) are dismissive of anything that doesn't get printed out on a lab result and are quick to tell you that it's "in your head" or "just a part of aging" when the diagnosis is not immediately apparent. I wish all my doctors treated me as a person, like he does. read more

I went for my follow up on March 21st 2023 I was a last patient when I come out after checkup front desk told me plz go out we need to close the office I told her I'm waiting for my husband to pick me up plz wait 10 min she said no i close the office I said you I stand outside she said yes I said but your office tmi gs to close at 7.00 pm right not it's 6.20 she didnt reply I said this is not a good behavior that you throw out the patient . she didn't reply and tell me plz go out and she closed the office without answer me and go away . very rude infact bad behavior needs to take serious action on the other side next door doctor comes out and saw me standing outside but completely ignored me ( ridiculous ) so annoying behavior , when they don't like there job why they do I must complain to BBB . I had an appointment for my 4 year old twins at 2:30pm today. 40 minutes after my appointment time I was called inside to fill out paper work. I had a cloth covering on my face, as a face covering is required in all public places- but one of the receptionists, I believe her name is Misha, told me I need a mask and to reschedule my appointment. A face covering could be anything, from a bandana, to a hanker chief- or even a T-Shirt, but Misha had a problem with me tying a cloth around my face and racially profiled me and whispered to her colleague- who obviously saw nothing wrong with my face covering, that it was a 'Dupatta' One of the technicians from the back had to come tell her that my face covering was perfectly acceptable. Dr. Patel, if you value your practice and your clients, you should have a word with Misha on how to treat patients, her ignorant attitude is very off putting. I will also be filing a formal complaint against Misha. The only wonderful experience I had, was with Dr. Diamondwho was informative, respectful, and has a great demeanor with kids. 07/20/2020 This is in response to the unprofessional comment left by "Patel E" from Patel Eye Associates. Please ask the members of your staff if my children and I were wearing masks- because we most definitely were. You can ask the other receptionists, the technicians, and Dr. Diamond himself, and they can most certainly vouch that every single person including my kids were wearing masks. Better yet, if you have video surveillance, take a few moments to review it. It looks like you are looking for pathetic excuses to justify your employee Misha's racist and poor behavior. If you want to run a business, learn to take constructive criticism instead of falsely covering up. Since I received a call from Dr. Diamond personally addressing the issue and apologizing on behalf of the staff, I had let the issue go- but now I will most certainly be going public with it. This is my second BAD experience with front deck team at Patel eye associates. It was for my minor daughter (on 10/14/2022) I took my daughter for contact lenses training as recommended by doctor. I checked in my kid for appoint at front desk. After registering, Front deck told me to have face mask on, I explained them that I don't have one and open to wear, Requested them to provide me a mask. Front deck staff started behaving very badly with me and treating me as if I am untouchable. Staff rudely told me that they don't have any mask to offer. All of sudden Manager for staff came to me told me that any way I am not required to be with my minor child and can stay outside the office if I don't have mask. I was shocked to know that Staff Manager wanted me to be outside and leave my minor kid in office alone. I refused to leave my kid alone, told them that I will go and buy a mask. I went to CVS and bought a mask. After a while, to my surprise the same front deck offered mask to another patient with other race than mine lovingly. I found this behavior unacceptable. Doctor/ Owner of the hospital needs to take serious note of this and take appropriate action. My experience with Doctor is good, but that does not help if front deck make it difficult for patients to interact with doctors and misbehave/ mistreat patients. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with this business. If there was an option for a negative star I'd give it -100! I understand they are remodeling but the waiting area was over packed and dirty. Chairs were not being cleaned after patients left. Used tissues on the tables and floor. Total mayhem from walking in to walking out! Eye Doctors assistant was rude and unprofessional. I won't post her name but she should be ashamed of herself. The woman who works in the closet of an eye glass section was also rude. Most of the glasses on the walls were so dirty! Can't even believe I wasted 2 hours of my time in this hot mess of an office!!! Should have went with my gut feeling and left as soon as I walked in and saw the condition of the office!
