My family's new go to optometrist!…read more I yelped to find a glasses store that sells Asian fit frames, which is made to fit people with flatter nose bridge. Through yelp, I found this place and read some positive reviews of Dr. Lee. I made an appointment for myself and two kids and we all had our eyes examined by Dr. Lee. He's friendly and I never felt rushed through our appointments. He made sure to answer all questions and concerns. When our exam is done, we have the choice to get our prescriptions written and head out to another place to shop and shop here directly. Honestly, I knew I needed the Asians fit so I browsed around to see what they have on stocked. It didn't take too long for me to fit 'the one' pair of frame. It was light weight, cute and fits my face perfectly. The best part is the frames are reasonably priced compared to my other Asian fit frame I purchased in north jersey. 20% discounts are given to customers who doesn't have insurance for frames and yes, unfortunately that applies to us. I'm happy with my glasses and so is my son. For my daughter, there were no change in her eyesight exam which is great as she can still wear her existing pair. Their staff is friendly and really try to work with the patients/customers. I have seen them on providing costs effective and solutions if you have any financial concerns.

Dr Lee and his staff are professional and up to date in technology. He has amazing mannerism. Staff is super helpful and kind. I got a lens that did not fit my expectation. They were able to upgrade it at the difference of cost without any hassle. Their recommendation for the frame was right on. Highly recommend to anyone in Edison or Metuchen area.

I came in for a concern about a spot in my eye, and without much explanation, he immediately dismissed it as dirt and attempted to approach my eye with a needle. I was already feeling anxious and lightheaded, so I calmly asked if I could reschedule and bring a support person to help me manage my anxiety during the procedure. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, he became extremely rude and dismissive. He repeatedly called me a "baby" and mocked my request for support, saying it was unnecessary and "stupid." I explained that I am neurodivergent and that having support is important for me, but he continued to belittle me. He then told me that if I didn't allow him to proceed immediately, he would refuse to see me again and asked me to leave his office. I left feeling humiliated and ended up crying in my car. No patient should be treated this way--especially when they are being open about their mental health needs. This was not only unprofessional, but completely lacking in empathy and basic respect. Please find another doctor!!!!!!

When asked why they don't notify their patients of this inconvenience ahead of time the excuse given is that they never get seen in Dr's offices at the scheduled time of their appointments. The front desk reception said they could not provide any info, could not indicate what the initial charge might be. Seems wrong that they could not give even a range of pricing for their services. Reception will make appointments and say or do nothing else. We asked to see the billing manager who after a 15 minute talk, could not indicate costs. The clerical type who did the test was courteous but said he could not answer any questions about the 3 tests- the glaucoma test, picture of eye internals, peripheral test. He was inexperienced doing the peripheral vision testing machine and the doctor said I must return later to be retested. We know he is not the doctor but could have given a 1 minute explanation of the different tests. He begrudingly said very little when questioned. After the tests, we were directed to a sitting room, sat for 35 minutes, waiting with 3 other patients to see the doctor. We saw perhaps 3 or 4 clerical types doing the actual testing, only one doctor there, dr. Laila Doctor Laila Colicchio spent 10 minutes explaining the test results, clear, concise and very capable. The doctor does none of the actual tesing, only interprets the test results. Had not been there for 6 years, miss Dr Santamaria, no longer there. Will not return. You can perhaps get a proper eye exam, although my examiner did not do the peripheral vision machine test correctly, the doctor saying I must return again to repeat the test -per dr Laila. Clearly they maximize the number of patients seen to get the most $550 per patient. There were 6 patients waiting when I arrived, 8 waiting when I left. Office staff and clerical testors were a terrible experience. Sad

Terrible Experience - Please Be Careful…read more I had my cataract surgery done here, and it turned into a nightmare. I went in with very high eye pressure, but they still went ahead with my left-eye surgery as scheduled. During surgery, my capsule broke. The surgery center didn't even have the proper lens for the sulcus, so I was left without a lens in my eye for two weeks. Later, they performed another surgery to implant the lens. Unfortunately, due to the trauma from the first failed surgery, my cornea became swollen, followed by consistent inflammation. Six months later, Dr. Kung told me that there were leftover fragments from my natural lens causing infection -- and that I needed a third surgery to remove them. All of this led to corneal edema, loss of vision, ongoing inflammation, and constant pain. After consulting two cornea specialists, both confirmed that the bad cataract surgery caused all of these problems. Now, the only solution left for me is a cornea transplant. I am terrified and deeply regret trusting this place. RUN -- do not risk your eyes or go through the misery I'm experiencing. On top of everything, they ran many tests on their machines and charged me a lot of money throughout this ordeal.
