I showed up for the rescheduled appointment in January, only to be informed that it had been canceled--again, because they were short-staffed. To make matters worse, I never received a notification about the cancellation. When I pointed out to the front desk that this was the second time my appointment had been canceled without notice, I was met with indifference. I later called and spoke to the manager, who seemed more concerned with figuring out whether they attempted to contact me (she confirmed they didn't) than addressing the issues. To their credit, they did offer to bump someone else to get me in...but passing the headache and heartache on to someone else didn't sit right with me (maybe that's how my appointments got canceled). That was the moment I decided it was time to find a new dentist.

Dr. Degerness is extremely kind, patient, thorough, and competent. This root canal was pretty complex, compared to others I've previously "endured." It required two visits, each lasting a couple of hours. UNBELIEVABLY, I actually fell asleep during each procedure. No medication involved; just Dr. Degerness' exceptionally tender care. If I ever need another root canal (and I can't believe I'm admitting this), I know where to go: Dr. Degerness. IMHO, there is no better, so I advise you too check him out.

Because of that my treatment took 2 years when it should have been much less. I only had teeth separating - not a hard fix. Toward the end he provided me with a temporary retainer (made inhouse and flimsy material) and never provided a retainer thereafter. The temp retainer didn't last and without my teeth then started separating. When I contacted him about this it was a "too bad, so sad" attitude on his part. I would NOT recommend him at all.
