I woke up this Monday, took a sip of coffee, and was almost taken down with an intense spike of pain in my mouth. I tried to "walk it off" all day, but by that evening emailed my dentist. Tuesday I was in for x-rays and an exam, then immediately got a referral to EA. I went to the EA website and filled out an online medical history and sent a message for an appointment. I missed their callback late Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday I was able to contact them and set an appointment with Elizabeth, who asked about my symptoms and was able to get me into a slot where someone had cancelled for Friday. I am so thankful, because the symptoms (i.e. PAIN) grew more severe to the point that Thursday evening, I wondered whether I would be capable of driving the 16 miles from my home to the office with such an intense distraction. Friday I got to the office right on time. Check in was very quick and the front office service was on-top-of-it! They looked up my electronic med. history submission. I forgot the hard copy of my dentist's referral, but remembered I had scanned it so I just emailed it from my phone and they printed it out for the treatment team. Both the assistant and Dr. Hoelscher were very empathetic, focused, and efficient. Exam/testing, diagnosis, and treatment took a little over an hour for my infected / necrotic tooth root. The doctor was sensitive to any reaction from me and carefully "topped off" sensitive sites with local anesthetic injections during the treatment and gave a time estimate of when they would be complete with the work. She was happy to explain any questions I had about the treatment, gave me optional prescriptions for a couple of the most common post-treatment complications, and I was on my way. Saturday I got a follow-up call from Dr. Hoelscher to see how I was doing. Weekend check-in for the win. read more

We do not recommend this business for several very serious reasons: 1) My husband fainted when they administered his anesthetic. They should know how to do this without this effect on a patient. 2) We were not given any discharge papers with instructions on required medications for his healing. 3) They prescribed antibiotics he had listed an extreme allergy to. Had he not realized and taken them we would have landed in the hospital. At his follow-up visit, Dr. Malek offered no apology or accountability for the failings of her or her staff. Please be cautious about where you book dental work and pay close attention the treatment you receive regardless of where you go. Incorrect treatment can have very serious implications. read more

I was traveling in Denver and I got a terrible toothache. Dr. Malek was INCREDIBLE. She went over my X-rays and showed me my 3D xray and explained it so well. I could clearly see on the X-ray that I had an infection. The procedure itself was completely painless and I dosed off because I was so relaxed. My tooth is now pain free and I am so thankful!! Let's face it - going to the dentist sucks. What sucks even more is going to the dentist for an emergency appointment because every time your tongue touches your tooth you get a zinging pain. After the dentist confirmed I needed a root canal (just greattttttt), they referred me to Endodontic Associates, which was the best thing they could have done! First of all, I was able to get an appointment the same day to perform the root canal - which is unheard of! I arrived slightly early, filled out the necessary paperwork and waited a mere 10 minutes before being whisked away to a back room for testing and x-rays. The tech assisting me was super friendly, understanding about the awkward and painful placing of the x-ray equipment in my mouth, and eased my nerves with nice conversation. Shortly after, the dentist came in to explain the procedure to me and got started within minutes. I'm definitely not one who enjoys the sound of drills in motion or intense vibration (thank god for Novocain!), which was easily blocked out by the sound of my headphones listening to a podcast. The dentist highly encouraged me to listen to something to take my mind off the procedure and would occasionally tap me to make sure I was okay. Both ladies (tech and dentist) were very sweet, efficient and got the job done within 45 minutes. Thankfully insurance picked up a portion of the bill - because boy, that isn't cheap! Needed an emergency root canal today because of severe pain and because I was leaving town in 2 days. Mt regular dentist called EA and they.got me in at the end of the same day. I have lots of anxiety about root canal so I got a few Valium prescribed and met Dr. Carnes. I have to say that the procedure was completely painless and quite fast. Dr. Carnes was extremely friendly, informative and gentle. The entire staff were just a pleasure. I no longer have a severe fear of going for a root canal thanks to Dr. Carnes and the Endodontic Associates. read more

I had a root canal done here about 3 years ago. I just remember the entire staff being so incredibly nice and welcoming. I saw Dr Brett Cole who did my root canal & he made the entire process so easy and pain free. He used this machine called the Single Tooth Anesthesia which was incredible. He used this really thin hypodermic needle to inject the local anesthesia and it was controlled through a foot pedal. I remember even asking when he was going to give me the numbing shot and he said he was already done with it! I didn't even feel a thing or realize I was being numbed!! I think of this office and that machine every single time I have to get numbed the old fashioned way with a big needle at the dentist or oral surgeon for a crown, implant, or cavity :( which is the worst part. I truly wish every office invested in it. read more

I was extremely nervous when I went in due to having 2 previous crowns done in AZ and had not been able to use the left side of my mouth for 3 or so years. They knew I was scared but the whole staff was nothing less then amazing..... I had 1 root canal done and within 2 days I felt so much better. He knew I needed another so went back down and had my other on friday and I am so happy its unbelievable. I can chew and drink cold water and no issues at all.... I would give them 100 stars if i could. I am so happy with everything. From the first phone call to the last visit! He even called both times to check up on me. That has never happened! Amazing. I needed an emergency root canal, and Dr. Cole was able to see me the same afternoon. I have a huge amount of anxiety about going to the dentist, but Dr. Cole and his team worked with me 100%, helped me breathe through my fears, and in a very short while, had me walking back out the door pain-free for the first time in weeks. Later that day, he called to personally follow up, see how I was doing, and make sure I had his direct phone number if I needed anything. I hope I don't need to see him again anytime soon, but I will happily recommend Dr. Cole and his practice to anyone who needs a great endodontist! read more

First let's be honest, this front desk is the absolute worst! Both times I've been here, they tell me the moment I get here that the doctor is at least 30 minutes late. Not that they're sorry at all, in fact it's really my fault for them fitting me in (which I didn't know since my dentist made the appointment). I even heard her be snappy with the doctor when he was trying to set up my next appointment. However, when you get to the docs and techs they are thorough and incredibly kind and helpful. I had a wonderful experience with Endodontic Associates - my family doctor referred me to them. They kindly fit me into their schedule for the next morning for an emergency root canal even though I called them just before they closed the evening before. I was a little apprehensive walking in for a root canal with dentists I'd never met before, but immediately felt at ease with Dr. Anita Hoelscher, she and her assistant were wonderful. Very attentive and not one moment of discomfort - I was in and out within an hour and had no pain once the numbness wore off, which was a first for me. I felt lucky to discover them. DO NOT EVEN TRY TO GET IN WITH THESE DOCS! I was walked across the hall with intractable trigeminal nerve pain from my dentist at Southbridge Family Dentistry. My dentist wanted me seen the NEXT day of over the weekend to Monday...the gals at the front desk could not care if you were alive or dead. No eye contact. They both looked way to busy to engage. They had their horrible Yankee candle burning which is the very worst for patients suffering from allergies and asthma. Yuk! What doctor office does this? They told me I had to WAIT SIX TO TEN days to get in for consultation...REALLY? You have three offices and that is considered reasonable even with your Dentist's recommendation to be seen ASAP due to pain and possible abscess? What is the world coming to? So, I did a google search and found the ONLY ENDODONTIC OFFICE YOU SHOULD GO TO, LONE TREE ENDODONTICS right off Lincoln. They exceeded my high standards being a critical care nurse! Dr. Mark Levine saw me the exact same day I called, did my eval, AND completed an entire root canal all within one hour. His years of expertise, excellent bedside manner, and delightful caring staff were beyond all my expectations as a health professional. GO THERE!!! read more

I will start by saying I got an emergency appointment for a root canal. :( Called at 10.15am and had an appt for 3.30 that same day. I am petrified of the dentist. The front desk girls were welcoming and very sweet when it came to calming my nerves. I saw Dr. Brock Deal and he was so nice and put me at ease. He explained what he was going to do and the options i had. I obviously went with his advice and was shown on x-ray what the problem was and how it would be fixed. They have an anesthetic system that uses a pump system to administer the numbing drug so they only poked me twice but after the topical numbing gel that was applied. I did not feel a thing! Yes, you feel the pressure and hear the drill but this was the most painless and quick root canal i have ever had. The aftercare instructions were clear and i was given 3 diffrent scripts in the event of any pain, swelling or infection. Dr Brock also called me later in the evening to see how i was doing and gave me some pointers to make my recovery more comfortable. This place is 5 stars all the way. The place is clean, professional and the best part for me is they are EXPERTS! Thank you EA for making this wimpy girl feel better. read more
