I went to Patelis Tax to get a consultation because I did my taxes myself but messed up somewhere down the line. I was greeted as soon as I entered the establishment, my appointment was an hour away so I waited in the beautiful waiting area and watched cable tv. It was very relaxing and a calm organized environment. I was called before my appointment time which was great. I received great feedback from Fernando Robles and he was very thorough in fixing my issue. He was able to correct my mistake and I have since received my State tax. I can not say enough about Patty and her staff. I used to go to someone for many many many years that I thought was doing a great job until one day I went to an online website just to test the outcome and I found out the person I was using was leaving out an important deduction that could of resulted in more money back this went on for over 15 years unfortunately . I came here a few weeks ago. Normally I got to the same person I've been going to for the last 5 years. I decided to try this place out because of the hype everyone was talking about how great they are. I wasn't impressed at all. I called to get an appointment and I was told everyone does the tax preparations the same. So I booked an appointment. After hanging up I got a bunch of calls, text and emails confirming my appointment for the next day. I thought that was a little extreme. So I arrived to my appointment and I could not find the place. There's no visible Singh at all. I called to ask where was I supposed to go to. The lady on the phone wasn't much help at all. I finally show up and the place was completely empty. The person at the front desk didn't even look like she worked there. I thought for a second she was a customer. So I asked for my Id and had me wait 20mins. The place was empty. No customer at all or any employee.I finally called into an office and the woman who was doing my taxes was so awkward . She asked a few question and was done with my taxes with in ten minutes. She walked out and was quick to charge me. I was so surprised because my regular tax guy is so much different. I was charged $75 because I had a referral. She didn't seem very pleased with that. She said normally they charge $100. I felt so uncomfortable. I just wanted to leave. So I just paid and regretted coming here. It's a beautiful place but I won't be coming back. It's not worth $100. I would understand if my taxes were difficult to file and I was different form but it's just your basic W2 form. It's been a little over a month and still haven't received my tax refund. After posting this review I got a call from this place. The lady on the phone was more concerned about the review than my federal tax return. Something went wrong on my taxes. She said she didn't realize something was wrong with my taxes until she read this review. It's been a month and you finally realize something was wrong? I asked what was the issue all she kept bringing up was this review up. When she finally got to the point, she said I owe child support. Funny last I checked I didn't have kids. So asked where was she getting this info from. It made no sense to me. She said from the irs page and I could look for it I liked. So I went to the website she told me to go on and nothing comes up. So I paid for some one to do my taxes so they tell me I owe child support for kids that don't exist. Now have to spend more money to my taxes fix. Thank you so much you earned it. read more
