I came here hoping for real tax-resolution help with a California Franchise Tax Board levy and multiple unfiled years, and unfortunately this office was not equipped to handle my situation at all. First red flag: they told me to come in at 11 AM, but when I arrived the office wasn't even open until 12 PM. No apology, no acknowledgment -- the same person who booked the appointment just acted like nothing happened. That already told me something was off in terms of professionalism. Once I finally sat down, things got even worse. I clearly explained beforehand that I had a levy, a six-figure balance with the state, and several years of unfiled returns. Instead of actually helping, they pushed everything back onto me. They didn't pull transcripts, didn't review any notices, didn't explain my balance, and didn't take over the case the way an actual tax-resolution specialist should. Instead, they told me to call the IRS and FTB myself and gather all the information on my own -- which is literally the reason I came to a professional in the first place. There was zero effort to take responsibility for handling the situation. It felt like they didn't want to help at all. What bothered me most is the lack of care or empathy. I understand this is a business, but when someone is dealing with something as stressful as a tax levy, the bare minimum is to show that you actually want to help. Instead, the attitude was dismissive, rushed, and borderline uninterested. I'm honestly surprised by the positive reviews. Based on my experience, I can only assume there must have been a different staff at some point, because what I experienced was the opposite of "5-star service." If you only need simple tax preparation, maybe this office is fine. But if you have anything complex -- levies, back taxes, large balances, multiple years, or anything requiring real tax-resolution experience -- this is absolutely not the place. You will need a real tax-resolution firm, not a basic tax preparer. Also little sidenote not a big deal they wouldn't let me connect to the Wi-Fi, which I just found really weird for a place in which you're supposed to be emailing them documents and their excuse was for security reasons like what? This place is so outdated I really am baffled by all the five star reviews. read more
