I noticed some time ago that they have packs of chicken pre-cut specifically for Curry. I looked for some today and they only had one and when I asked if they could cut up a package of chicken leg quarters said absolutely! Visited this location a while back and decided to update my review, I think you guys should expand to New Jersey again, for nostalgic purposes, it's a great supermarket, and I just think the inside of the store though needs to be a bit cleaner and more inviting, more organized, the parking lot is fine too, hope it's expanded to other locations now.. read more

Pretty cool Pathmark its located in the Flatbush /East Flatbush/ Flatlands section areas of Brooklyn it have all the groceries you're looking for , Me and My mother came here after church to buy some Groceries we saw some good sales on the flyer , I want give a big shout out to Jared and Bryant helping me and my moms at the self checkout there are two helpful young gentlemen , I see manager position for them in the future , me and my moms was confused on the sales item of which on sale the pasta ( Spaghetti) and there where very helpful to us at the self checkout . All dough we did get the Macaroni (ronzoni) at Pathmark , but we decided not to get the spaghetti at Pathmark . we did get a better deal at Dollar General next door on barilla spaghetti there where only $1.75 for one box. Big shout out to Bryant & Jared , there did offer me to sign up for Pathmark rewards program . i'll definitely come back just to check to see how Bryant and jared doing !!!! P.S. : There a near by Dollar General or Target in the area , but Pathmark seem to have the better deals and plus there have a huge parking lot for customers that drive !!!!!! What's the big deal this store is just meh in my opinion. I should have known what I was in for when I had to return some chicken the very first time I came to this store because it didn't look or smell right. That was a sign of things to come. On June 26, 2025, the last time I was there, I saw a loaf of moldy bread in the bakery section. Yup, just sitting there like no employee had been around in a long time. It seems like this store doesn't have a fast turnover. Plus, the containers in the poultry section are always sticky as if they're leaking all the time. I don't think the employees know what they're doing back in the meat/fish department and they're always watching me. Some kind of commotion was going on among them the last time I was there that seemed directed at me. I don't know where all the five star reviews are coming from I wasn't really impressed and the blaring music isn't helping. read more

I go out of my way to shop here because of the parking lot and wide open feeling of the market. The lines are always long but the cashiers work quickly and i never feel like I'm on line a long time. The one thing I do not like about this market is the lack of hand baskets. Perhaps they do that for Covid precautions but I remember having that issue prior to covid. If you're only get 5 things you have to get a cart in order to carry the items. Other than that, I enjoy shopping here. read more

I have been shopping at Pathmark Supermarket at 1525 Albany Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11210 for over 30 years because I live in the neighborhood. I witness the closing of Pathmark and the reopening of Pathmark. I am glad it reopened because you can find almost everything you need and do not have to go from place to place. Pathmark came back with even more variety than before. As a 70 years old woman, and watching what I eat is an asset to me. Through the years, I have not had any complaint until today, 3/11/21 approximately 8:30 A.M. when I went into the store and was shopping. I left my shopping cart unattended in the fruit and produce area for no more than 45 seconds and returned to my shopping cart and the worker was removing my stuff out of the shopping cart. I went to the manager and made a complaint. Carol, the Manager was very unprofessional in talking with me. Her tone of voice and the answer she gave me was not satisfactorily. Basically, she said, this happens when your shopping cart is left unattended. My answer to her was, I have been shopping here for over 30 years and have left my shopping cart unattended plenty of times and have not experienced this. She said, things changes, and different people are employed. I just said, thank you and things do changes. Personally, I think Carol personality should have been a little warmer and the message should have been delivered in a different way. People who are employed to deal with the public every day should be people-oriented in handling situation delicately. I cannot give this a four star because of this incident, so I am rating this business a four star. read more

Finally Pathmark is making a comeback!. Pathmark has been a successful supermarket staple for many years. They all closed down and went out of business for the last 3to4 years. They were replaced with Stop and Shop in many locations except for East Flatbush. We got a Key Food which started off decent. Then it hit rock bottom. The building needed lots of work. It finally closed down. Everyone waited to see what was coming next and the community board announced Pathmark was making a comeback. They had the ribbon cutting ceremony and all that jazz. It's new, caters to the Caribbean population, so everyone was happy, even me. It's beautiful, totally stocked and very nice and clean. I had a chance to partake in a few good sales and l got some very nice plants for my new office. The lines move fast and l noticed a nice change in management. But, l still ran into a few bumps that l always experienced with Pathmark. But it's all a part of the game of life. The new cashiers have a nice- nasty attitude but that can happen anywhere. Other than that, l am pleased. All in all, it's a plus to the neighborhood. read more

This store is clearly a victim of poor management and staff. It is always overcrowded, the staff is not very attentive, and there are NEVER enough cashiers to cover the after work shopping crowd. Every time I've been there, over a 5 or 6 year period, there is always clutter, carts filled with items that need to go back to shelves. Hint: Don't buy dairy or meat products here unless they are dated far in the future and in the back if the shelf. I have been avoiding going here for a year now. This store is a LAST RESORT shopping destination, even express checkout is SLOW. read more

Pathmark is in my grocery store rotation. Depending on the week, I usually get great sales, and not to mention, I always have coupons ready. I'm no extreme couponer, but I am pro-savings. I usually go in the mornings when there are no lines, and I always try to avoid the 1st and 15th of the month because the shelves will be empty, and that's real. The customer service could use some tweaking, but I'm sure their attitudes are justified...people can get a bit violent in grocery stores. Just give me Turkey Hill ice cream, the self checkout line and I will be on my merry way. read more

Store is disorganized!!! Poor management. They have about 10 lanes but only 2 cashiers at times. The self-service check out machines don't even work properly. You scan your item then have to wait for an employee to take your money. The store looks filthy! I bet if another supermarket opened in the area with fairly decent service, this Pathmark would get shutdown! read more

[Pay close attention to the dates of these reviews. Most of them are from 2014 - not 2019.] I love the new store layout, and the Produce Department is my favorite. I wish they had brought back the pharmacy though. Also, a savvy shopper who knows prices will know which items to grab and which ones to definitely leave. There were a few items in the Produce Department that I KNOW I can get much cheaper elsewhere; so I just bought the fruits and veggies that were on sale in the flyer. Everything in that section however is fresh and beautiful. I would like to see more organic produce as a choice though. Welcome back. read more

So yesterday as I was doing a little light shopping I picked up some sliced chicken breasts. As I went to put it in the cart, liquid just dripped all over the place. I've never seen so much liquid drip from meats before but I just wiped it on the cart *shrugs*. Fast forward ten minutes later and I'm opening the freezer pulling out ice cream and I'm thinking wtf is that smell??? I grab my ice cream and dart to the self checkout nearby. I have no idea why but I picked up the chicken waiting for the lady in front of me to bag her items when I get a whiff of that foul odor again... I smelled the chicken breasts and I'm smacked with sourness. I PURPOSELY left the chicken on the counter near the price checker and ran to the back to get chicken with an actual brand on the package. I believe the chicken that I picked up was chicken that Pathmark packaged with a date of 8/4. Funny thing is it had a $2 off sticker that came straight from management. I didn't think anything of it because I just wanted to get tf out of there. They ALWAYS have mark downs on meat that's packaged at Pathmark. I guess I know why. Out this b!tch selling sour meat. So disgusting. It's messed up too because sometimes the meat sections at this particular Pathmark can be barren aside from family sized meats and I never buy meat in bulk. Now on Whole Foods for meats. My immune system is already compromised thanks to this common cold that my body is harboring so you better believe I wiped down everything as much as I could. Tough place to visit after work. The crowds are massive and feels a bit claustrophobic. A good tip: pick up 5 or less items and checkout at the kiosk where they sell cigarettes. Just don't BUY cigarettes :-) read more

The only staff that have been relatively helpful are the people that man the meats and seafood sections and that's probably because you can't get it your damn self. Visited this Store for first and last time, today. Went in to rent the Rug Doctor. A process which I anticipated would take a few minutes. ONE Cashier at Customer Service entended the process to approx 45 minutes. Finally the rental was complete and I headed to my car. My phone was stolen off the Charger during the time I was in line. No Cameras focused on Parking lot. Everyone IN and OUT of the Store is aware of a rampant THEFT problem in the Parking Lot. WHY is there no Security??? Where is the protection for Customers in the light of a KNOWN issue??? Will never visit this location again. read more

DOESNT EVEN WARRANT ONE STAR Your Pathmark store #637 in Brooklyn, New York is rampant with ineffective cashiers who are disrespectful and treat customers as if they are less than deserving of a speedy checkout or basic human decency. The store management is clearly missing the mark when it comes to how customers are treated. Tomorrow I will be contacting the store manager, customer service and corporate. Someone is going to rectify the complete disrespect that my mother was privy to today while shopping at the above mentioned location. She has shopped at this store for over 40 years and today is the last day that they will get her business and if corporate is unwilling to address this matter the entire Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company will no longer have a customer in her.
