I have serious questions about the moral compass of Trinity Lutheran, it's pastor and it's leadership and feel deeply that there should be an investigation into its financial practices which have been shown to be unethical if not illegal. Trinity Lutheran operated Sonshine Preschool for over 33 years and spent the last 10-15 raising money for new buildings to house the preschool as a part of their mission. After raising hundreds of thousands of dollars donated by families and the community, they scrapped plans to build with no explanation of where said donations went. While that was disheartening enough, they continued to enroll students and continued to employ a wonderful staff, many of whom had been there for 10+ years. Recently, with less than 1 month notice, over a holiday weekend, they sent an email to staff and families letting them know that they'd decided to close the preschool effective in 3 weeks. If you're familiar with preschools in the area, you'll know there is a very tight supply and demand curve. Preschools enroll in Feb/March for the following year, so receiving a cancellation notice July 2, left every family in the school heartbroken and scrambling. It left valued staff and teachers suddenly in search of new jobs and in potentially difficult financial situations. The pastor has brushed it off and said there are other great preschools in town--clearly he hasn't done the research. Every part time preschool in Pleasanton has a waitlist several students long. For a church that's looking to grow and foster people in the love of Christ, they're certainly not acting in good faith.

I used to go to New Life for about 10 years, loved my pastors there and got baptized but when I moved to Dublin, I didn't know what God had in store for me last summer. From day one to now is been miracle after miracle, a broken toe and plantar fasciitis were both healed on a prayer night on Wednesday and just to listen the pastors heart for Jesus is contagious. Their love for our Lord Jesus Christ is so strong and so powerful that you will not walk away the same way you did when you first came in. Restoration, healing and miracles happen every time we are together!

Walking into the sanctuary, I was immediately welcomed by numerous Church members. The church style is traditional baptist. I especially enjoyed the traditional hymns. It's a pretty lively congregation; I don't think I've ever heard so many "amens" during a service. (I'm presbyterian, and we're not supposed to talk back to the preacher.) To my astonishment, they even have a traditional choir! I would come here just because of the choir. I was also impressed by the pastor, Bill Bryson. A remarkable speaker-- exciting, well presented, inspirational. His preaching style reminds me of the famous preacher, Charles Stanley. The ushers provided a detailed outline, so one can take notes. I did. I found the church members to be sincere, welcoming, and gracious. Honestly, you cannot be nicer than these people. Many of the men wore suits. That surprised me, but is a classy touch. Next time I'm coming with a suit. That way, I won't look like a newbie. This church was here when I needed them. I am grateful for their kindness.

He knocked on our door, we sat down and chatted. I always have so much questions about God, and pastor bill was so patient to answer every question from the Bible, Over the years I have be able to see the weight loss of pastor bill, the coming and going of church members, the incident of the huge tree collapse, the pandemic, and through it all Mr and Mrs bill Bryson have been faithful, setting the example and providing spiritually for every one. It's a special little church. There is a sort of peace you feel when you enter, like after struggling so hard you finally found it, you found home.
