Everyone was so very kind and welcoming. The music was so powerful and uplifting. The Pastor teaches THE WORD with a True Straight to Your Heart message from Jesus Teaching. Driving my path home after The Church Service, my heart was filled with the Spirit full and abundant. Thank You Harvest Valley Church Family. I will be back. :) Love Always, Stephanie

Review #1) This church is not for everyone, but is for anyone who wants to know GOD…read more Or, are willing to consider His reality. This is not religion. HVC is as pure a place as is possible in this world. Here you are offered a relationship with GOD through his Son, JESUS. No pride, just joy. IT IS EASY HERE. I am not compelled to "works" here. But, here, I continually chose GOD. Please try us. Please try God. Here is just the sweet, supernatural, loving, kind, and good, presence of GOD. Lead by a man carved and spun by God just for you. Review #2) You will melt. You will prosper. You will heal. But above all You will change. You will be changed. Review #3) Here is for the hungry, the broken, the sick, the tired, the empty, the hurting, the secretly very angry, the molested, the lonely, the bored, those who are afraid, Those with cancer, or other horrible diseases that eat you , seek to destroy you, invasive forces whether physical or emotional. The oppressed. The good, meek, downtrodden, the mistreated. The exploited. The rejected. We like you. Victims of racial hatred. Those deeply immeasurably wounded by hate. The raped. HVC is a safe place. we will not rewound you. (If that happens please say something.) JESUS is a safe GOD. "Justice is the foundation of God's throne." For those with unspeakable injuries. Welcome to all drug addicts. You are in familiar company! Welcome sinners, welcome thieves and murderers. Christ knows the truth and died for you. Welcome those with wounds too deep to heal. For those who have been stolen from. Those who have been treated unfairly. For those captured in sin (whether your own or other's), Here is for those who believe that they hate themselves, or for those in the most violent jail of hating others. HVC is the best church with the best Pastor with the best sheep. HERE IS THE LORD JESUS. NOT FOR EVERYONE, BUT FOR ANYONE. Jesus isn't at the tomb because He is at HVC. Come meet Him.

On Sundays, the Korean Catholic Community has mass here (in Korean) at 9 or 930am (I can't recall)…read more I mistakenly showed up early and did not realize English mass wasn't until 11am. I decided to sit in the Korean mass anyway. Though I couldn't understand much, I still sort of did know the parts of Mass - that's the beauty of being Catholic, isn't it? The Mass is consistent, regardless of language. The Korean community seems to be strong. Beautiful experience. I stayed for the 11am Mass in English. Very diverse congregation since it's a blend of the Korean-American and CCOP communities. Young adult leaders do music, read, serve. I think it's a great reflection of the tri-valley community. Father Gerald, who regularly presides, delivers great homilies relevant to young and old. No community is perfect. But I really enjoyed seeing the blended, diverse community at SES.

The church offers support through several ministries, including regular workshops for those going through divorce, those who are grieving, couples who want to strengthen their relationships, as well as several others. Fr. Dan Danielson, the pastor, is gracious and so giving, and he recently announced his retirement. Fr. Padraig Greene has been named Pastor. Fr. Padraig has been instrumental in setting up the family ministries for divorce and grief, and brings not only a spiritual dimension but also holds a masters in psychology. The congregation is devoted and the masses are usually well attended. They are welcoming and warm. I love the Parish Mission Statement: The Catholic Community of Pleasanton is a community of people who endeavor to live their lives as disciples of the Lord Jesus and strive to call all people to the reign of God. We gather to celebrate and give thanks for God's living presence and unconditional love, and to enable and facilitate ever deeper conversion of heart, both personal and communal, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We invite all to discipleship and we are sent forth to share the good news of Jesus in our neighborhoods, in our community, and in the world.

A very large and comfortable church that always offers a timely and relevant message from Pastor…read moreSteve. The church works easily with busy schedules as it even offers a service on Saturday. An intimate and strong community is maintained through numerous small home groups, a cozy coffee shop, and various outreach and volunteer opportunities. The first time I went was because I was meeting a friend from Tracy as a convenient mid point. We settled into the coffee shop to pass a bit of time before the message - and this is when my friend was on his phone and saw the news of the passing of Paul Walker... so after a quick Google search I can see that day was November 30, 2013. I have been many times since that time back in 2013. Pastor Steve has a passion and gift for what he does. Hes authentic and weaves in stories that make sermons more fun and memorable: like the story of the birds crashing into windows - and the possible meaning of that or the one sermon of fake versus flawed. For the record you aren't expected to somehow be perfect here. This is a church for strong believers and followers of Christ all the way to non believers or seekers. The church space is so large you will find a spot your comfortable in. Maybe your not the type to sit front and center - hands waving in the air... well, you can just hang in the coffee shop for the entire duration of the sermon where you can hear and see whats going on over the TV. This church is located at the border of Livermore and Pleasanton with many smaller satellite locations all over the bay. At a church with this many people and locations it is important to join a small group. Friends are made in volunteering situations and in smaller group settings where everybody works together toward a set goal. Go online and check out what is offered. I think people are like redwood trees - when we are "planted" in groups it makes us stronger and we hold each other up during the storms and learn from one another. Paul Walker got prayers from me that day but also learn from his mistake - driving in a 2005 model year car with 10 year old crusty tires with good tread depth - a problem that tends to happen in cars that are not driven often. Check in with your car enthusiast friends and even grandma with her 10 year old car with 20,000 miles and original factory tires - especially if it doesn't have an electronic stability program. Make some close Christian friends and join this community - or at least visit once or twice to see if its for you.
