They got her right in and took such wonderful care of her! She has some learning disabilities, so I don't trust her care to simply anyone! He was SO tender and caring, she simply loved him, the office and ALL his staff! His staff is friendly, and EXTREMELY efficient, which; lets just be honest, it's hard to find these days! I slay dragons and rescue princesses from danger. I fear no evil and I laugh in the face of danger. But, if I was honest with you all, I would tell you that I was very nervous and anxious about having this procedure done. I put it off and suffered for three months and tried to make myself believe that if I just wished upon a falling star that eventually it would just would be all better. That falling star stuff is all B.S. In case you mother never filled you in on that. Anyways, my fears were for nothing. Thanks to Dr. Selden and a little thing I learned about called Nitrous Oxide. DO NOT GO TO DR. GREGORY ELLIS. On January 22, 2026, Dr…read more Ellis performed a root canal on me. During that procedure, my anesthesia wore off. He ignored my cries. He ignored my pleading for him to stop. Without my consent, he continued the procedure and then attempted to gaslight me afterwards. Upon arrival, his assistant Tabitha prepped me for the procedure and laid me down in the chair. Dr. Ellis came in, did not acknowledge me, did not say hello, and did not say he was beginning work. He proceeded to open my mouth and start injecting the local anesthetic. I jumped at the first injection as I could not see what he was doing. He still said nothing. The second shot was on the palette side of my mouth. It hurt so much that I jumped and kicked my legs up. The first words out of his mouth were, "that shouldn't hurt." I should have left right then and there. He then started talking as if I was not there saying there was a lot of blood. He gave me another shot. At this point I started crying in pain. I looked up and he was gone. He said nothing to me. As I cried, I told Tabitha that, at the very least, he should have told me that he was about to start injecting the anesthetic. She had no response. The procedure began with no communication to me. Dr. Ellis and Tabitha discussed 80s music playing on the radio as I laid back getting my root canal. Halfway through the procedure, he left the room and instructed her to give the disinfectant every 30 seconds for the next 10 minutes. Approximately half way though the disinfecting, I started to feel pain. Tabitha saw me react to her touching my teeth and asked if I was in pain. I said YES! I had pillow in my mouth, a rubber dam and some mechanism holding the tooth. I could feel everything! She asked again, "Are you sure you're hurting?" I nodded and said "YES! I am in pain!" as best I could with all of the equipment in my mouth. She replied and said, "Let me go tell him." I heard her tell Doctor Ellis TWICE that I was in pain. He came back in and, without discussion, continued the procedure. I screamed for him to stop! I cried for him to stop! My arms and legs were thrashing. He finally said, "You don't feel that." I cried that I can feel it! He continued, "You shouldn't be feeling that. You didn't react when I was working earlier." He finally finished the procedure. I had been crying and yelling so hysterically that I had snot and saliva dripping down my face and mouth. He instructed Tabitha, "get her something to wipe her face". She gave me a tissue. Someone came in and gave me a warm towel to wipe off my face. Tabatha said I needed to do X-rays post surgery. I excused myself to the restroom first. When I returned, I exclaimed to Tabitha that I could feel everything! She stood there uncomfortably. She took the X-rays without discuss of the trauma I just endured. He came back in the room and continued to gaslight me. "You shouldn't have felt anything." "BUT I DID! SHE TOLD YOU I FELT PAIN! Tabitha told you I was in pain!" I, of course, felt the need to explain myself even further. I have a high pain tolerance. I was crying for you to stop. His reply, "that was very unusual." His bizarre, numb reaction was absolutely stunning. He sat there looking at me as if I was completely insane. I could see that the conversation was going nowhere. I asked if there was a prescription. He asked if Tabitha gave me Aleve before we began. Yes, she did. He said that is enough and to take some more later if I need. Then he walked out. Before leaving, I asked Tabitha and the woman at the front desk if there would be any prescribed pain medication. They said no. Tabitha said, if I needed, she could call in prednisone. And that was that. I walked out. No care. No apology. No pain medication. This office is small. 3 dental chairs and a front lobby. All open. Every person in that office hear my cries. They ALL ignored me. I sat in my car for a long while afterward sobbing. I was in pain. I felt violated. How could this happen??!! The only thing I could think to do was to call the dentist who referred me. I gave her a full account and she was in disbelief. She was very supportive. A few hours later, Tabitha texted me and apologized that I was in pain and was sending in the prednisone prescription. The next day, I received a call from an unknown number. I picked up the phone and it was Dr. Ellis. He said he was "checking in" but it quickly turned to more gaslighting. I told him I wasn't doing well because of what happened. He continued with the "it was unusual" and "shouldn't have happened." He even said that it was a bad experience for him too! He denied that I was in pain. He denied that I asked him to stop. I did my best to stay calm. "I told you I was in pain. Tabitha told you I was in pain, TWICE. Everyone in your office heard me crying for you to stop, yet you continued without my consent." Silence. Father's Day weekend!…read more Thursday, 8 PM My husband had an infected tooth and impacted wisdom tooth causing excruciating pain. We went to Davam urgency care Thursday night, but the pain was getting more severe and lower in his jaw. Saturday, 8:30 AM Dr. Cope, our regular dentist, was out of town. His wonderful tech Chelsea was able to coach us. Saturday, 3:30 PM Luckily we found Doctor Okwen at 1488 Dental! He is an endodontist and micro surgeon that was generous with his time and compassionate enough to work on Saturday at 4 pm! He charged a fair price. He was able to extract 17 & 18!
