my experience was iffy. i came in for a emergency i was helped by devin at first and felt like he just looked at me annoyed and like i was taking his money by saying no to something that i didn't need. i had also asked for any pain relief or numbing and he came off like he was being burdened. thought it would help to show him gratitude. it did not. i wish he understood the importance of bedside manor in dental care over anything else. they attempted to charge me for a bone graft. i denied it and they removed it from my care sheet only to give it to me still. my dentist and dental assistant were kind though. i think my dental assistant was melody or a name similar to that. she needs to be in a better workplace! she has such lovely potential and bedside manor. i have a huge fear around dentists and she absolutely helped. read more

Avoid avoid avoid!! We came in on an emergency basis and had a bad experience. Devin came off very condescending, with an unfriendly and judgmental bedside manner. They seemed annoyed when my daughter (the patient) asked to be numbed for her cracked molar while we waited two hours for her appointment. We got the estimate and it was over $2000 for a simple extraction **with insurance!!! What?!? We asked them why it was so high and they cited the need for a cadaver bone graft just in case she wanted implants at a later date. We declined because she would likely never get an implant in the very back tooth. They were irritated and dismissive. Turns out, it's included in the price of the extraction. They would've done it regardless but attempted to upcharge us almost $900 for it! CROOKS!!! We returned two hours later for her procedure and it seemed like everything was going well until the next morning her stitches were hanging out of her mouth. Went to her regular dentist and discovered the dentist didn't even bother to put a single knot in the sutures - not one. I could've pulled it out myself. No wonder she bled for 12 hours straight. They didn't offer her any antibiotics or pain meds. Awful experience. They are taking advantage of their older clients who trust the dentist and don't ask questions. ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS!! And avoid this place. I want a refund and I'm tempted to take some legal action here. And additionally, this is the same dentist who screwed my oldest daughter's mouth up as well. We didn't know until it was too late. They had her get unnecessary root canals and left a large chunk of cement in her gums that she will have to have surgically removed by a different dentist. They told her she needed several more root canals and painful deep cleanings every three months. Turns out her new dentist says none of those things are necessary. They were horrified to see the "work" White Oak dental did on her teeth. They are scammers and I'm telling everyone to stay away. read more

We loved this place for years, when Dr Green was still there. After he left, it went downhill fast!! They set my wife up with Invisalign, said we had the best insurance and it would only be X amount. Then, of course, came back asking for over a thousand more. I reluctantly paid. They then came back months later demanding several hundred dollars more!! Their estimates mean nothing. It's all a bait and switch SCAM!!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to White Oak!! Plenty of honorable dentists in Conroe area to choose from. read more

For several years, I would have given them top stars. However, their customer service skills have gone downhill in the last few years. I should not have to fill out new paperwork every time we go there or every three years. I begrudgingly filled out my son's information in their iPad but it gave me an error message. I was told they would still clean his teeth. I left to run some errands only to be called that they could not clean his teeth without me putting the information in the iPad again. I went in to talk to their manager but she was not at work. Dentists are a dime a dozen these days. Obviously, White Oak could care less about loyalty and they only care about being an inconvenience to their longterm patients. I will not be returning to them. For that I was grateful because I have been in a lot of pain. So much pain that I had not even been able to eat. Why? Because it hurt to chew. Tell me why they took bite wing X-rays on a person that can't even chew on that side of their mouth. Either the x-rays were bad or the dentist was negligent. He sent me on my way with no meds for pain or infection. He referred me out to have the tooth extracted. The rest of the day and night I was in so much pain that even my car A/C hurt when it was blowing on my face.I haven't slept well in days because of the pain. The dentist never recommended anything like a saltwater swish or otc products. I asked him about clove oil and his words were: it couldn't hurt. So today I call a prosthodontist's office and they gave me an emergency extraction and told me that I had an abscess. White Oak and their staff never mentioned or even charted and abscess. I went for an annual exam. Was a quoted for 3 crowns. When I got to the office the day of my appointment the receptions did a bait and switch and said the cost would be higher than what they quoted because my insurance per crown allowance went up. I told them that I only wanted the worst tooth done. The dentist came in and said I needed all 3. During the time I had the temp crowns on I had to go back for an infection they should have caught and I told them the side where she did the crowns still hurt. She dismissed my pain. They charged me another 118 for that. Now that I have the permanent crowns on I seem to have another infection. I am starting to believe I should have had a root canal on the side she did the crowns. I have reported them to my insurance company and asked them for their corporate information to file a lawsuit. I will soon be going through the secretary of state trying to get all the information I need to file a lawsuit. Stay far away from this dentist. They are corporate and absolutely do not care of their patients. read more

I have been going for my 6 month check-ups with this group for years now, all good. This time, though, I had gum problems and the need for a crown. Yikes, these problems were silent to me! My hygienist, Leslie, dealt with the gums and Marcy helped with the crown under direction of Dr I. Gums are good now. The crown - this was THE BEST crown procedure that I have ever had! Dr I. numbed the area precisely and with only one stick! I had no pain in either of the two appointments involved with my crown. And...it was all done efficiently and kindly. Thanks to all of you! The front desk and dental assistants are all wonderful. That's where the 2 stars came from. My experience with the dentist getting a crown...not so much. Had to send it back once because it was ill fitting. After going another couple of weeks with a temporary....the second one was so large that I couldn't bite down. After returning to have it looked at I was told I may need to get a consult to see about having an implant instead due to the pain I was in. After seeing an implant specialist (who was wonderful) and paying him to file down this once enormous crown I'm now able to put my teeth together and eat on the right side of my mouth. Very expensive to have to pay so much for an ill fitting crown and have to pay someone else to fix it. read more

Stay away from this Dentist's Office. Had a rather unethical incident with the office trying to charge me for services that were not needed or called for at the time I went in for a cleaning. Especially, if you are on Medicare, stay away. All they try to do is sell you things to make that profit line bigger. read more

Friendly front office staff; easy scheduling which I have done before for x-rays and cleaning in the past paid by insurance. This time around, new dentist; my wife had x-rays, was told she would need 2 visits for "deep" cleaning and need to replace a bridge. Total cost nearly $5000 of which we would pay about $2500. Always get a second opinion. We went back to Dr. Opperman, DDS in Kingwood; she had an excellent dental cleaning (routine was needed); they examined the x-rays and found a small cavity; no damage to existing bridge. Our out of pocket bill is zero; score; we had lunch and gas for a total of $30.00; another cruise set for 2021. White Oak is Ok for checkups; the new dentist mumbled around, wasn't particularly clear with what needed to be done, but the billing clerk was; we won't be back except perhaps for routine cleaning. read more

This is not a review on the Dr's performance. This is a review on the office as a whole. I am not a patient of this practice! Nevertheless in about a one month period I have received five calls from this office for five different patients requesting a change in their appointment time. Each time they have rescheduled the patient and left a message with me. I would hazard a guess that the person that is rescheduling is new and needs more practice with the system before actually getting on it! Let someone used to this system retrain the new person! By the way, I'm not even close to your area code. I live north of Chicago, IL! Wouldn't be coming down to your area for my dental care. Please fix this problem as soon as possible! Getting tired of receiving messages from your office! Your receptionist is not calling to talk to the patient. She is calling a number to leave a message! I would suggest that if she is the only one to do this leave a message for the patient to call back to reschedule for a different time and day. AND have your patient's call to confirm their appointments before coming in because of this mess! read more
