I have been to Patient First many times and my average wait time to see a doctor has been 5 to 8 hours. My shortest wait time to be seen was 3 hours. They triage their patients and no appointments are granted, so I have often waited until every seat was empty and more than 40 other patients had been seen to be treated. This facility is understaffed by doctors, those who take blood samples are poorly trained, and once back in the treatment area, you have to listen to the nurses complain for hours and make negative comments about patients. The nurses seem to think those curtains are doors and they are speaking privately. One of them even bad-mouthed me, while sitting less than 8 feet from me. Less than professional behavior has been observed. Watch out for double billing. They take a credit card or cash for your co-pay, and more than a month later, you receive a bill. If you paid cash, you have no proof that you paid, so use a credit card. The only reason I still go here, is because Dr. Garcia is a super star at identifying the disease and prescribing appropriate medication. She never gives up, even if you have multiple chronic diseases. read more

I had to be seen twice in the span of three days for an infection because the first provider did not prescribe antibiotics. The second Dr spent a total of three minutes with me, declined to look in my ears or nose when I complained of sinus pain and ear pain, and prescribed antibiotics. Her attitude when I came the second time was basically "Why are you here again?" Will not return to Patient First in the future. read more

Dr. Garcia was great, but the 6 hour wait was not. The nurse was mean to me and spoke disrespectfully to me. Everything they say about the patients can be heard by everyone. I have been referred to other specialists, who were terrible and I would never see again. They tried to take blood samples to test and three times I was stuck by needles without getting blood for testing. They charged my insurance for three surgeries. I went to a regular lab and they got blood the first time, but said that Patient First scarred and collapsed my veins. If it weren't for my care by Dr. Garcia, who earns 5 stars, I would never go back. Most people are not aware that if you have heart or respiratory symptoms, they send you to a real hospital via ambulance, for a charge of $750. Better to go to the real hospital for anything serious. Also, they take no appointments and triage patients according to severity, which means you could be waiting 5 to 8 hours before being seen. If you have a poor immunity system, think of all the diseases and viral infections you could get while waiting for your prescription change. Imagine how dehydrated you would be after such a wait. On the positive side, as my core body temp dropped, they did get me a heated blanket, as they keep the area in the back the temp of a meat locker. Last time I came in with 2 toes that turned black and blue, and I couldn't stand on them, nor get my shoe on due to swelling. I knew they were broken. They took x-rays and told me to go home and rest, but they were Not Broken. Two days later, they called to tell me they were sending me to an orthopedic surgeon, because both toes were in fact fractured. Dr. Garcia was not there that day. Going to Patient First is less reliable than going to a witch doctor. At least at Right Time, 200 feet away from Patient First, you can get an appointment, and the female Greek doctor is good. read more

I went in after a accident that I had in the morning. A little while later I started to hurt a little bit. So they checked me in pretty quick. And all they didtake my vitals. Then I went to the room and the dr told me that I needed to go to the hospital to get checked. But the best part is they changed me $110 for that. They did nothing and still charged me. If I could give a BIG FAT zero I would. Horrible incompetent place. Do not EVER use the Patient First in Glen Burnie as your primary care. Incompetent in primary care. Don't ever get sick and need FMLA paperwork filled out. The office couldn't even fill out a 2 page FMLA document. Filled out the paperwork incorrectly 3 times. Then had the nerve to want me to come in for an office visit to get more money out of me because of their incompetence. I can see now why they have 3 stars. Terrible and horrible place. Take your family elsewhere. Even when they are not busy they have you wait for over 45 minutes. Kathy, the administrator for the Pasadena, MD location, the worse person, and is of absolutely no help. How do you go home and sleep well at night knowing how you and this office treats their patients? Would you want someone treating you or your family member the way you treated me over the phone. Telling me there is nothing you can do about a doctor refusing to fill out FMLA paperwork that was filled out incorrectly and faxed twice to my leave company for an accident that happened in January of 2019. An accident where I was t-boned, car slid across the other lane of traffic and stopped by hitting a house, where my son was unconscious. I bet you feel real good about that. I'm not asking you to fill out anything that's not already in my medical records. Your office sent me to physical therapy and your office treated me during the time period I was hurt and still dealing with the ramifications. Terrible place! read more

We arrived at PF around 1:30pm, we weren't called back until 3:00pm and when we were called back we weren't seen until almost 4:30pm. The only person that apologized for the long wait was the Doctor. I don't remember her name but we informed her we had to be somewhere at 5pm and she worked very fast to get us out, which we very much appreciated. The lady who took us to our room, Karla, was very rude, unprofessional and inappropriate. As we were going into the room, she was looking my husband up and down as if there was an issue. Once we got in the room she had such and attitude. I asked her for her name and then I guess she tried being nice and made a very inappropriate "joke" My husband had to get undressed for an X-ray and she said "don't get busy in here and make another one of those"...referring to our son.  It was not funny and very unprofessional! The only saving grace was the Doctor we saw, unfortunately we can't remember her name. read more

They're quick, the Clinic is very clean with relaxing classic music, and all the staff is very professional and courteous.

Wait wait wait wait! It used to be that you could be seen in a reasonable amount of time. Now you have to plan for 2 hours or more. Going to try someplace different. They are stressed and understaffed. Not what it used to be. They need to post average times to let people know to go some where else. We will stay away from now on. read more

This place is just awful. I don't think the doctors have been educated at all. Doctor Lyons is an ass. She asks me if I have a fever. They took my temp on the way in unless they tell me what it is how the heck would I know? You are the doctor aren't you? Then she proceeds to tell me that 99.1 is not a fever it's a normal temperature. Funny cause when that happened before my family practice doctors called that a low grade fever. I hate this place and will normal ever go back. Not even in the event of a zombie apocalypse. read more

The location is clean but that should be expected of any medical location. The staff appears to be stressed do to possibly not having enough people working either way they are kind enough for that level of stress. The wait is my only complaint I've been to other locations when my primary care physician was unavailable and the wait wasn't nearly as long. This location took over two hours to be seen. Maybe more staff is needed as the current people are nice enough but maybe they need help. I would not recommend this location for anyone. read more

AWFUL! I took my 12 month old daughter in the day after Christmas - she had a 104 degree fever the night before and a history of ear infections. The PA - J. Perry - looked at her ears for half a second and said that "one was red but not infected" - I questioned him and he kept telling me that it was a virus and I had to let it run it's course. I pressed him for more tests, but everything was negative. That night, her fever wasn't responding to tylenol and motrin (every 3 hours) and she ended up having a seizure! I had to take her to the ER where they told me she had a double ear infection! (This was 5 hours after we saw J. Perry at Patient first.) Mr. Perry, if you are not qualified to check the ears of a 12 month old then please ask someone else to double check for you!! The ER told me that a 104 degree fever is something to be very careful with. I have gone to a Patient first before that diagnosed my son's ears correctly but this Patient First is HORRIBLE - do not take a child there. read more

I've had both good and bad experiences here, but tonight I decided I'm never going back. I came in to have a bite checked, and instead of being given possible answers on what might've bitten me, or even general advice on the other symptoms I was having, I was berated about entirely unrelated non-issues such as my sexual habits and mental health. I don't remember who my doctor was, but I didn't much care for her condescending and dismissive attitude. I wasn't there to talk about condoms, I wasn't there to talk about my mood disorder, I was there to talk about a specific ailment. I waited for two hours to talk about a specific ailment, only to have it hand-waved because she was more interested in what goes in or comes out of my reproductive organs. It's not the first bad experience I've had here, but it will be the last. read more

This place is convenient. They register you right away, take your vitals, seat you in a room with a curtain. Just when you think this is awesome I will be in and out, you wait so long you wonder if they forgot about you. Otherwise it's a good alternative to see a dr outside of regular hours or if your regular dr is booked. You should only have to pay a regular copay since it is not considered urgent care. read more

I threw my lower back out and was in so much pain, I was crying uncontrollably and they brought a wheelchair because I couldn't walk. I sat in that chair for over two hours before a doctor saw me. He then came in, asked what happened and even though I told him I couldn't walk or stand, told me to stand up. I tried and immediately began screaming in pain again. He then tells me there is nothing they can do for me and I need to go to the ER. They knew what the issue was but made me wait two hours to tell me they can't do anything. I took my 7 year old son here for a laceration to his chin. The check-in process was quick and easy but once we got in a room it took 3hours before we were seen. The medical assistant that took vitals & weight was very rude. The PA that we saw was wonderful though, worth the wait. He did a wonderful stitch job and really took his time. He talked my son through the entire process and made him really comfortable. When we took our son to his pediatrician yesterday for his 48hour recheck he was very impressed with the stitches. I'm not sure I would recommend this place just because of the wait time, I think they overwork their PA's/docs. read more

I'm always a fan of Patient First. I went first thing on a Saturday morning and while there were about 5 people ahead of me, the check in process went very quickly. However, after being put into a room to wait for the doctor was painful. I waited about 30-40 minutes for the doctor to come see. Isn't that always how it is when you go to any doctor? He was professional and helpful but did not apologize for the wait. I would go back. read more

Each and every visit is a 5 star experience. I have been here 4 times in 2 years. I gotta tell you from the front door to the follow up, these folks have never let me down. Today was a classic example: My primary care provider is currently in the hospital. I had a Lymes Disease scare. He told me to go to Patient first. I did. I walked in to a very pleasant receptionist at 9:32 am. I was interviewed, blood drawn, to be tested, and given a flu shot, as well, and walked out the door at 9:58. I dealt with 5 different "professionals" today... each one a joy to deal with and competent in their profession. read more

The worst care my son has ever received! Dr Ann Sugden was his Dr. She was curt and prescribed no antibiotic or fever meds. Yet, she felt confident he had strep to send out an outside strep test. He suffered severely for 4 days until the office called me and said they were sorry, but he had strep in his body for 4 days and was deathly ill!!! I called them over and over again and wanted to speak to the Dr, but she was unavailable to return calls & would not be able to possibly call me back for days. She wouldn't be back at that office for 30 days. They don't want to heal you, they want you to keep coming back. Patient and Dr care is absolutely the worst I've ever seen. I'm not sure how they can get away with this?!?! Don't go to Patient first, go to the hospital if you have to. You'll be actually taken care of at the hospital. read more

Prepare yourself for the longest wait of your life. Thanks to Teledoc I can usually skip having to go to this place, but when I have to (like when my son had an infection in his finger) they make you wait anywhere between 2 and 4 hours on average. This is because they usually only have one actual doctor who can help you working at any given time. You may as well go to the ER, it'll be faster and if you really have something serious happening they'll actually be able to help. The staff here is rude, the wait times are ridiculous, and sitting in a little wait room in the back while all the nurses stand around talking is as close to Hell as you can get while still alive. read more

I just got home from seeing the folks at Patient First for a badly hyperextended leg. I had a great experience. Everyone was helpful and friendly and there was no wait time. I still need to see an Orthopedic Surgeon, however I now have crutches and pain killers to help me get through the next few days. I had an abnormally high blood pressure and staff actually came out to get me to do a third test to ensure I was okay to leave--but very concerned I follow up. That was really helpful and thoughtful. I know it was their job but it was the approach. Having family history--that really struck home for me. I would totally go back. read more

We always get amazing care at Patient First. Took my child to be checked after an MVA. The Dr did an awesome assessment of neurological, cognitive and memory function to diagnose a concussion AND recommend reasonable treatment. His exam at Patient First was more extensive than the ER or the pediatric clinic. The Doctor was warm and caring. I was very confident in her recommendations. Thanks Patient First. They were extremely busy that night with flu cases and another family that needed to be transferred to hospital BUT we didnt feel rushed or in anyway minimized. read more

Dr. Garcia and Dr. Simon Bellatouf are excellent. They are just top-notch. Other staff are ok, but there is a caucasian female doctor there who has no clue what she's doing. She's HORRIBLE. She once gave me a med that gave me a seizure. I nearly died! If you get her, don't be shy to ask for someone else. A couple times I waited a long time, to the point where I thought they forgot about me and I was about to leave, both were when the horrible dr. Lady was on call. All others have been quick. Also patient first visits are not cheap. They overbill when you're there then send me a refund months later. read more

I have been to this location quite a few times, but am writing this review as I had another not so pleasant experience. The lady who signed me in was fine, other than screamed at one point because I had an ear infection and had trouble hearing what she had asked me. After that, the lady who took my vitals appeared that she did not want me there at all. She was very rude and rolled her eyes. I said that a fever brought me in today and she checked and I think she thought I was just making stuff up because I did not have a fever during the time she checked. In the bathroom, there was a potty on the floor filled with someone's bright yellow urine and when I already had the stomach flu, that made me want to puke instantly. I came back and waited for the doctor. I had written down my symptoms over the week because I know they don't have much time with you. She spent a total of 8 minutes with me. (Initially 3 mins but then said she would come back). About 45 minutes later, she did come back. She was very nice and I felt that she did listen to my concerns. Her name was Nora and she was probably the nicest doctor I have had at this location. I dread going to this one because the other doctor, Muhhamed thinks I am just a hypochondriac which I mean I kind an, but I go there when I'm having a legitimate concern. However, she didn't check my ears when they usually do...especially since I have an ear infection. I did have to wait 2 and a half hours in total when there was only one other person in the waiting room. I work in the health field and I'm not sure why it takes so long to get to other patients when there were only 4 patients in total in there and when the doctor spends under 10 min with each person... read more

Very long wait times, lots of doctors and nurses sitting around and doing nothing but texting on cell phones. Not very clean, and has a very 'musty' or old smell. Once the doctor does come to your cubical he/she only gives you about 2 minutes of their time before they are out the door again. So make sure you ask your questions quick. Also my billing was incorrect because they mixed up my SS and last name. It was the biggest headache to fix. Sat on the phone for hours with the rudest people. If I could rate this 0, I would. This place is a complete joke. They're only focus is taking people's money instead of caring for the patient. From the minute I sat down until the minute I've been seen I had someone worry about inputting my credit card on file, instead of caring about why I actually being seen. Have always been nothing was nice to me and my daughter. Everything was diagnosed good. I like the doctors I have seen. Although not overly friendly but they have a lot going on so doesn't bother me. They front desk is always nice. You don't make an appointment u just walk in and sign in. I always go first thing in the morning. BC otherwise u can wait a while. As with any walk in. Even though I waited for 2 1/2 - 3 hours, she did spend enough time with me to make sure she was safely prescribing. Very impressed. The wait is horrible! You can hear the staff talking about random things...their weekend, the weather, ect. Meanwhile sick people are waiting and it's very frustrating. it took well over an hour to be seen and it wasn't very busy at all.
