The doctor was very nice and explained the x-rays I needed. It was uncomfortable, but necessary. I was lead back to the exam room, where Tatiana came in with medicine and water, which I took. I had two injections for the pain because my knee needed to be x-rayed and manipulated. I was fitted for a large knee brace. I felt cared for by the entire staff. The wait time is significant enough that I believe I will be changing urgent care facilities. I have used Patient First since I moved to the area five years ago, but I shouldn't have to wait for an hour or two to see a physician or PA at an urgent care that doesn't have a full waiting room. I understand that sometimes there is a rush. That was not the case the last two times I have been in. Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed working with Patient First. The facility itself is great and very clean. The staff are friendly and caring. The doctors and PAs have always treated me with respect and been very helpful. But with all the competition there is for urgent care facilities in the area I think I can do better elsewhere. I am not sure what causes this facility to take so long. There seem to be enough staff to get people registered and enough nurses to take a history, BP, weight, etc. Perhaps the bottle neck occurs at the number of doctors staffed at any one time. I am sure an administrator could figure it out in ten minutes if they tried. Maybe now that they know they are losing business as a result of under staffing they will make changes. I know it is quickly becoming the reputation of the franchise. Sorry, again I think it is a great facility and I am pleased with everything but sitting in an exam room for over an hour for a 5-10 minute exam.

I came in with 3 health concerns and, after waiting about 20-30 minutes, spent roughly 15 minutes with the doctor. My primary concern was dismissed as allergies with little discussion of other possible causes, testing, follow-up, or a specialist referral. When I asked about weight-loss options, there was no discussion of my health, lifestyle, or available treatments, and I was directed elsewhere. When I brought up stress, anxiety, and mental-health concerns, I was simply given a list of providers to photograph. I understand that not every concern can be resolved in one appointment and that referrals are sometimes appropriate. My disappointment was that I didn't feel my concerns were genuinely explored or that there was much effort to develop a plan moving forward. After reflecting on the visit, I realized I left feeling more like an inconvenience than a patient. After a proper, thorough examination, the doctor there found that it was not a skin tag at all--it was a large, live tick that had been embedded in my neck for weeks. They removed it immediately.Because Abu Sheriff failed to perform a basic, careful examination, I carried a live tick for days longer than necessary. I have now officially tested positive and been diagnosed with Lyme disease as a direct result of this delayed removal and severe oversight.I have full medical documentation, photographs, and records from Patient First proving this negligence.
