I just had Patio Pools replace my pool 14 year old pool pump. Even though it is peak pool season, I got an appointment very quickly. The technician was terrific. He explained everything and answered all my questions. This new pump is super quiet! You can barely tell it's on. Patio backs it with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. I was in Michigan and wanted to have my spa drained, cleaned and set back up to be ready for my arrival. I was able to contact Patio Pools online for an appointment. I received a call back and found I was able to have it done and asked if I had any questions or concerns. My neighbor let Brian in and she reported he did an excellent job. We bought our spa 2/16. We have had nothing but trouble with this company. We have had a terrible time having representatives return our calls. We've had oil seep into the internal filter system, the cover warped and now the decals from the overlay are deteriorating. No one seems to care. We leave phone calls, they tell us someone will call back, doesn't happen. We go to the store, we're told someone will call, doesn't happen. We leave a voice mail, no one responds. We called the manufacturer and they tell us that we can only deal with Patio Pools. They took our money when we bought the thing, but now we can't get them to respond. Very, very poor customer service. We received a phone call from Patio Pools approximately 30 min. after posting this. Historically, I have received great customer service at this location, until yesterday. I needed some pool supplies and was "helped" by kar (initials on receipt). He was the least helpful person I have encountered, in fact, he treated me as an inconvenience. Trust me kar, I will never inconvenience you or your store again. read more

We met with Jim Stryker in the N. Oracle office in November 2017 to discuss designing a pool for a new home we are going to build. He was very nice and showed us possibilities on his computer and possible materials, etc. He said he would get back to us soon with some designs and costs. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I called and he said he had been on vacation, but he would get right on it, and get right back to us. It has now been 6 months and we still have NEVER heard from him. Needless to say, we went with another pool company. read more

We had recently installed a Jandy pool pump and controller to work with water solar for the pool. First of all - very difficult to program - you need to be a computer analyst! The pump wasn't running correctly, turning of and on all day. The solar was overheating and melting the pipes! I looked up a Jandy service business and found Patio Pools & Spas serviced Jandy. Talked with Aaron in Service - he scheduled a tech to come out in 4 days - earliest they had. He understood it was an emergency of sorts because of the "pipe melting"issue. In about an hour he called back and had a tech available. Jerrod arrived - reprogrammed the controller - which he had never done before! But he was able to figure out the instructions. Then he gave my husband some pointers on why the solar was overheating. He was polite, easy to understand, and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again for any pool issues, or additions. 4 stars because I felt the hourly price was a little high- $110/hr. read more

We have used Patio Pools for four years in Hereford, AZ, until we moved. Everyone has always been incredibly helpful and amazing. The service was always fabulous, timely, perfect and we often didn't even know our tech had com - he would sneak in, get the job don without disrupting us and be on our way. When we did cross paths the techs were always friendly and had smiles on their faces. Always eager to answer questions and happily demonstrate how things functioned or worked. Patio Pools recently completed my in ground pool and it has been a first class experience from my initial meeting with a designer until now, two weeks after completion. If you are shopping for a pool builder I highly recommend Patio Pools for a few reasons. My designer was extremely knowledgeable about the building process and was equally knowledgeable about the equipment and products they sell and install. He was also worked hard to design the best pool within my budget. Two other builders I consulted with answered, "Let me get back to you on that" or "I'm not sure, I'd have to research that" way too many times for my comfort level, especially when considering the cost of a pool. My designer also showed me their large yard that stored all of their excavation and construction equipment and assured me all personnel were Patio Pools employees. My designer was also able to maximize the use of my yard when the other builders just wanted to design and build a tiny pool because it was easier. The other builders explained that they subcontracted most of the work and they also did not want to provide me with a list of the subcontractors they used. The Patio Pool guys were very friendly, professional, and took care not to damage any of my belongings. I even took the time to speak with several of them and learned that many of them had worked for Patio Pools for several years and worked their way up from basic to more advanced jobs. My project manager was always readily available, listened to my questions/concerns, and provided a solution very quickly. Two weeks later and the people at Patio Pools are still concerned about keeping me a happy customer and have come back to do Quality Checks and touch up anything they think can be better. The office staff has been equally friendly, courteous, and concerned about customer service. The Patio Pool guys are so skilled and proficient that there were no hiccups during construction and all inspections passed with flying colors. Do some public record searching and you will see many discrepancies on other residential pool inspections. And of course, the quality of my pool is extremely high! Even the pool start up instructional provided to me was informative, fun, and provided by two knowledgeable and friendly employees. I highly recommend Patio Pools to anyone who is looking for a quality swimming pool and quality experience. read more

Terrible customer service. I called about three weeks ago to schedule a time for a designer to come to our residence to give us a quote on a new pool. Apparently no one was available so I left a VM for Kathy. After not hearing back, I called again, this time I spoke to Carrie. I told her that I had called previously and she assured me a designer would be calling me that day. That was just about two weeks ago and have never heard from them. Not a company I would want to spend tens of thousands of dollars with if they can't even return a call. Go with Cimarron or Omni Pools. read more

I signed the contract and put escrow down on my new pool and spa build February 21, 2018. I chose patio pools after getting several other quotes because they said they would have me swimming by summer, specifically the end of June. I asked over and over again and was adamant that timing was very important to me, never once was I made to believe that would be an issue. Well, it's now 2 days away from being August, over 5 months later, and my pool is still just a concrete shell. No one can give answers, all I get is there are "delays due to other projects." Patio also damaged my fence twice to the point of it needing completely replaced in some sections, so not only am I still waiting on my pool but then I have to wait for them to fix the fence. When you ask a question, they take a week or two to get an answer, or forget all together. I was given wrong payments to make twice, and if I had not been persistent that they were wrong (after still making them on time) I would have paid $1000 over my contract price. This is completely unacceptable. Patio takes on more projects than they can handle and your build will suffer for it. I have not even been given an apology let alone a solution for this mess. Go with a company that will keep their word. read more

Went in to the 22nd street location on Tuesday needing a replacement diverter valve for my solar equipment. The part was not in stock by Leslie was able to locate the part I needed and order it from a local vendor, she also called me the following day to let me know it had arrived and was available for pickup. Patio used to be one of the best pool spa places in Tucson...now I wouldn't give u a dollar for their customer service or spa technician...had them send a guy out to clean my spa a couple months ago...almost 170dollars...then a week later there was all sorts of crap floating around in spa...called them again..guy came out ..looked at it and said "maybe you need a new filter"..not you need a new filter.or let me fix this..he just told me maybe I need a new filter..asked him if he had one and he said he doesn't carry those on his truck..???huh???you service spas and pools and you don't carry filters on your truck..he told me that I could go to their store to get one if I wanted..i said are u sure that is the problem and he said..well it could be...what an idiot..then he charged me another amount of 89 dollars..for his expert opinion?? stay away from these guys..they don't know what they are doing and are only looking to pad their pockets....called the store and was put on hold for over twenty minutes ..then when I got someone on the phone they told me they didn't know if they had a filter that fit my spa( just bought it from them two years ago)..what kind of a way is that to do business....STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE....they don't know what they are talking about..from their staff in store to the lazy guy that came to my house.. read more

So we were referred by a finance team to Patio Pools. We thought - wow a company that builds everything in house - what a great way to go. We asked to have a designer (Sean) come out and put a design together for us. He did - that was the one and only time he followed through with what he said he would do. After countless emails, and the occasional response of him "stalling" us, we finally gave up. I called to complain to the owner and was told everyone is out sick - when I told the receptionist who my designer was and that I was sick of being blown off - she said - hey that's my husband! LOL. Anyway, I can tell you there are about 4 other companies here in Tucson who DO have customer service and do understand that when someone wants to build a pool, you have to at least respond to them. Patio Pools service is deplorable and they lost my business. We even decided to pay cash for our pool. Too bad for them. Reach out to Pioneer or Cimmaron both of them were extremely responsive - and they came in on time and on budget for exactly what we wanted and both companies "Wanted" our business.
