Update number 2 and it will be brief. After posting my first update (and, if we're being an honest, a public post on Facebook in which I tagged Valley Oasis and mentioned a potential lawsuit), I was contacted by Noah through Facebook Messenger, and my husband received a phone call. Noah came by, looked at the pool, and a couple months later all of the issues were fixed. The hole under the waterfall was patched, the Venturi nozzle was replaced, and the damage to the decking was repaired and the entire surface coated in a grey cool-decking type material. My water bill has been cut in half (amazing how much water can quietly leak from a pool). Why only three stars? Because it shouldn't have taken that long to get someone's attention. If you go with this company, keep on it and stand firm. read more

I was waiting until the soft scape of our yard was done, but honestly, who cares about that... look at this incredible pool, beehive fireplace, and built-in kitchen built by Valley Oasis 1st Quarter of 2024. With the help of Steve, the manager, we designed the pool of our dreams. I've only seen pools like this in Bali on pinterest. Multi leveled with two baha shelves and a zen waterfall for my Buddha. I wish I could give them 10 stars, because this company deserves it. Their design, execution, and follow through were exceptional! There is no other pool company that I would go with. Valley Oasis truly cares about their customers, and it shows throughout the entire process. They answered all of our questions and calls with urgency and held our hand through the entire build. I contracted with Valley to do a renovation of my existing pool. Their crew did a fabulous job however after putting a large deposit down and being told project would be completed in about 6 weeks-no communication and nothing happened! After 8 weeks of waiting and NO communication from anyone at Valley (I made all the calls every month to inquire the status of my job) I inquired again and was told materials were still not available. Long story short I had to threaten with seeking my attorney's help. Following week production of the job started. Their crew is extremely good, professional and show up when they say they will be there. I had also hired them for monthly cleaning services of my pool once even before the project started. A few problems occurred after construction was completed, but to no fault of their crew. After putting everything back together there were problems after another with the pool vac and canister leaking. Valley's fix was to keep replacing parts at my expense and then still not working properly as before the project started. Their service manager was very unprofessional in speaking with me - actually talking down to me and quoting that they had to send people out on their dime and they did everything they could to fix the problem. She also said what more could they do? Once she stopped talking loudly at me, I have to respond to this as I did to her, the cost and ownership should be on their company dime as I paid initially and my equipment was still not functioning as before and still not. This is part of doing business and I don't think she understands this. My question, should a customer pay for equipment to be fixed and to accept the fact after doing their repair (?) it still doesn't work and move on??? What is up with that? Never heard of such a thing. One of the biggest problems I had with Valley, as relayed to their President, was their is no communication among one another in their organization OR with the paying customer. The completed renovation was beyond my expectations and I am very happy with the results, I just couldn't deal with their service people in their office anymore. Needless to say, paid my bill and I canceled my business relationship with them ASAP. The worst company I have ever done business with. Their owner needs to revamp her inside work force. You do not speak to people the way I was addressed by the service manager and expect to do business with customers the way I was spoken to. Unfortunately, we fired them before they began. We signed our contract and put down a deposit in the spring, with the agreement that work would begin in November of '21. The contract, as I recall, stated Valley Oasis would have 3 months to complete installing an inground, 6x6 concrete spa. It also warned that our property would become a "construction zone" and we would need to plan for that. The agreed upon start date arrived in November. We were told the work crew would begin at 6 a.m. on that day. We got up at 5 a.m. They never showed up. We waited and waited. We finally called the owner around noon and asked where the work crew was. She said she had no idea and she would have to "hunt them down." We never heard back from her, so we terminated the contract and paid the approximately $200 in permit fees, etc. Our experience with contractors is that when a project starts off on the wrong foot, it's usually a fiasco. We did not want them to not show and make us have to suffer through 3 months of upheaval and mess while they failed to show up. Contracts are rarely written to protect the consumer. So, proceed at your own risk. read more

This was my second and last project with this company! Their prices are outrageous and timeline is a joke! Not to mention the damage they did! Unfortunately I was in the middle of my first project when my pool tiles came off, so of course they jumped at the opportunity to get another 10k from me! Chris was the main guy in this project and let me tell you he is unprofessional and not worth your frustration. Tile guy who could have done my project in 3days he didnt like so here we are 2weeks later and it's mess!! His "plumber" couldn't make it so he did some work himself????? I've had my ups and downs with Valley Oasis, but at the end of the day, they're a quality company that stands behind their products--even when it's not their fault-- and works to make things right. Valley Oasis built a pool for us in 2019. They were the third company we contacted. The first company sent their $35k pool proposal via text, and the second company ignored us after giving the deposit, so we had to cancel the contract. The build with Valley Oasis went reasonably ok. Not spectacular, but decent. The design phase was easy, but with the build phase, there were delays, issues with communication, and other small issues. They eventually built a quality pool that we enjoy. When there was a problem with the build, Kathleen was there to step in and iron things out. She personally visited the pool build a few times. Valley Oasis used Hayward products for the build, and I had no reason to think this was a problem, but as time has gone on, it seems like Hayward product are more prone to breaking than perhaps other companies' products, such as Pentair. Since 2019, our pool has gone through 3 salt cells. Valley Oasis helped us with getting warranty replacements from Hayward, but they lasted only around 6 months. The Hayward light recently died too. It was rated for 50,000 hours and we used it maybe 30-50 hours in total since we almost always swam during the day. When I called Valley Oasis to talk about light problem and troubleshoot it, Whitney at Valley Oasis was helpful and took the time to answer my questions. Eventually, Valley Oasis replaced the light at no cost, even through it was out of warranty and it wasn't their issue. I was stunned but also relieved that they would jump in the help when it wasn't expected. I believe pool builders have a difficult time since many parts of the build are contracted out, and for good reason -- you want your concrete, plumbing, and electrical work to be handled by the pros not the GC. This can create hiccups in an already complex process, but at the end of the day, when you make an investment in something as large as a pool, you want to know the company will stand behind it and be reliable. Valley Oasis has proven that to me. Is there room for improvement? Sure. But, they came through when it mattered and they've shown they're in it for long term relationships with their customers. If you're in the market for a pool build, repair, or other service, give Valley Oasis a fair shot. read more

My wife really wanted to have our backyard landscaped. I did as well, but she took the reigns with regards to making the arrangements for obtaining bids. We obtained more than one bid from more than one landscaping company. Jason from Valley Oasis was actually the person who visited our home for a consultation. My wife said that Jason from Valley Oasis was not the most dynamic person she met, but she felt that he was going to provide the best design and bid for some reason. She was right. Jason ended up being a very cool cat. There were a few snags along the way and Jason handled them with professionalism and in a manner that made us feel comfortable. The end result was phenomenal. I don't think they were the cheapest company out there, and I am OK with that. I am a firm believer in the saying that, "you get what you pay for." I would at the very minimum let Jason give you a bid. The design he came up with is stellar and we are very happy. NEIGHBORS in my subdivision have asked more than once about our yard, it's pretty damn cool. read more

But when it comes to Warranty's on equipment its not the easiest process to get parts replaced because no one calls you back when parts break or even bother to follow up to phone calls/concerns that are actually covered. They still have to replace a manifold for my Hayward Pump... Been two months and no follow up after being told that it will be covered. read more

Spa & Landscape Project There are two different companies within Valley - Pool/Spa & Landscape Pool/Spa - worked with Joe and Mike and had a good experience except for the constant delays in finishing the installation. Joe/Mike were very knowledgeable in the products and installation but there were a lot of delays in getting things wrapped up which required a lot of phone calls. I think there are literally 2 guys who do installations and they just cannot keep up with the volume of work (hence the delays). Landscape - Rob provided excellent designs and worked with us until we had a 3 phase project planned out. Their installation crew was quite good and cleaned up after each day's work. Things fell apart when the 1st phase was complete because even after multiple phone calls and messages they don't get back to you so we are left with only 1/3 of the full project completed. Also, they are quite expensive and booked 2-3+ months out so if you want something done even relatively quickly you won't get that here. Overall, if you use them you'll have to take a VERY active role when working on schedules and installations. I'd highly recommend spacing out your payments so that they only get compensated when specific phases are completed otherwise you'll find yourselves in the position we did. read more

We used them for monthly service about 5 years. My swimming sand tank was leaking and floating was broken. I called the office before Christmas. She told me someone will come after the Christmas. No body showed up until last week Jan. 9th. And he didn't address any issues. I called the office twice on Monday Jan.11th and left messages to the voice box and the front desk. This pool service is the WORST (literally) in town. I gave them 3 months to get their act together.... that oughta teach me a lesson. The "supervisor" Renee, who is clearly incompetent and unable to handle her management position, does not provide the courtesy of returning phone calls. Furthermore, she is clearly incapable of managing her staff and coordinating work requests. She is not a problem solver and most certainly cannot handle day to day basic service requests at even a minimum requirement level. In sum, they do not know how to service pools or handle customers. Buyers BEWARE!! This company is poorly managed and fails to communicate critical aspects of your pool installation process that have made my experience a nightmare. My Story... After receiving quotes from several companies, we decided to go with Oasis because of the personal 'small business' experience i received. In fact my colleague who also went with Oasis warned me against going with them. However, i liked Alex and felt his professionalism and commitment to our job was enough to give the company a chance. Early Nov, we signed the contact with Oasis to get our pool installed. About a week later, one of OASIS's contractors came by to discuss the outline of our pool. We met with the gentlemen and i expressed concern that the size seem too large for my back yard and that i wanted to speak with Alex prior to breaking ground. He said that was not a problem and advised me to call the office. The next day, early in the morning (while at work), i get a phone call from a stranger that he had my dog. I wasn't sure how my dog got loose, however i contacted my husband to go get our pet. That's when we learned that OASIS has knocked down our wall and had already dug the hole. I could not believe this happened! It wasn't even 24 hours since my conversion with the OASIS contractor. However, they decided to knock down my wall and dig the hole without any prior notice to us. My dog got loose and i had a hole in my wall 2 weeks before we were planning to leaving for Thanksgiving Weekend trip. Now, i was stuck with a pool larger than what i wanted. They didn't even have the courteousness of communicating their plans or giving us an opportunity to give the OK. They just did it! Now i'm suck with a large pool. I feel devastated! My years of dreaming is down the tubes! However, i had to move forward. Then.. no work after that. Dec goes by with nothing done. Every time we call, we get 'Oh it should be next week' then nothing. No communication.. this goes on into Jan. During the second week of Jan, we start moving forward but again. But again, no communication from OASIS. They send contractors to perform work without us eve knowing about it. The few times they actually told us someone would come out, i would take time off work to be home and then, nobody would show up. This goes on for the entire duration of my pool installation. Infact, when it was time for them to install tile design work, they didn't even tell us it was being done. I find out a week after the fact when i happen to go out and see it was done. I didn't even get a chance explain what i wanted. Some designed my pool without my participation. Who does that!! We then have to have contractors come back out to fix it. Taking more time. I was given a 60 day time frame for my pool to be ready. IT took 6 months. The project started in Nov and it didn't get finished until June. (30 of those days, were because of us. Landscaping work) but the rest was all because of delays by OASIS and their lack of communications with their own sub-contractors. There's more bad stuff but i'm tired of writing. Valley Oasis just finished a pool for us in December 2018. We had had a very good experience for most part until the pebble sheen finish was installed. The entire area on our shallow platform in the corners to the sides had not been properly acid washed so there was a medium blue haze about an inch on the base and sides that was very visible. I immediately called them and spoke to their scheduler and told her the problem. She told me that their employee would be out the following week to do the chemicals and to show it to him, which we did. I will say this was right before Christmas but to me this is no excuse when you pay the money you do to put a pool in. Their employee came by to check on the chemicals and at that time I showed him the bad areas. He took a couple of pictures but then I heard nothing back from Valley. Another two weeks went by from the pebble sheen installation before the company that installed the pebble sheen came out. They informed us that no one from Oasis had called them at the time we reported it but had just been called. They were genuinely concerned and began adding acid and circulating the water. They stated that they should have been informed immediately of the problem and that the pool should have never been filled with water. The pebble sheen company sent workers out every other day to check on the situation. They were great to deal with and told me if we were unhappy whatsoever, they would come back and drain the pool and make sure that we were satisfied with the pebble sheen. The owner of Valley Oasis called me about the 10th of January, the same day the pebble sheen co. was there. This was the first time I had had any contact from the company since the day I had called them about the problem. I informed her of my displeasure but she told me that once the pool is completed with the pebble sheen, it had to be filled. I'm sure she could tell that I was quite upset with the results. Between the acid wash and me scrubbing vigorously both morning and night, the film dissipated leaving just a slight haze in some areas that my wife and I will probably only notice. To date, February 19th, I have had no follow up from anyone from Valley Oasis on how the results of the acid wash turned out or if we were satisfied with the job. Poor business! read more

I showed a couple written quotes from other local pool places and that made the price more competitive with price adjustments. Best part that sold me was Dave Franklin being a NON-pushy salesman and the family business atmosphere. There were a few problems (decline of yard, retaining wall, replacement of exterior wall) that arose during the build, but the company stuck to the agreed price and solved each situation as it came. Valley Oasis installed my next door neighbor's pool over a year ago and in the process altered the block wall between our properties. They promised that the change would not be noticeable when complete. However, after a year now, it is clear that Valley Oasis never intended to follow through on their promise. They simply walked away and my side of the wall remains unfinished. Numerous phone calls proved fruitless. We have an 18 year old black bottom pool that needed some restoration. Jim and Joe were fantastic to work with. They did an acid wash, tile cleaning, new pump, new filter, and new light. Valley Oasis built the pool at my house in 1999. I would not recommend them, as I've had some fairly serious problems with the pool. First off, they did what is called a 'rolled edge' with the Pebbletec material. This is not a good thing to do, as Pebbletec is not recommended for above-water applications (it's great when it is underwater). A fair bit of the Pebbletec above the waterline has broken off over the years. It is my understanding that nobody does this anymore, as it never lasts. However, I will say that they very likely knew it was not a good idea when they installed the pool. I think it just saves money as you don't have to pour a deck all the way around the pool. Furthermore, the concrete and kool-deck that they poured failed and I just had to have the entire deck removed and replaced. Basically, the kool-deck was coming off, but the underlying concrete was also failing. The aggregate was very small, and in some places you could break the concrete up with your hands. I think it was just a bad mix. Thus far, the basic pool/gunite concrete is still fine, and I haven't had any plumbing problems, so that part seems to be OK. After talking with a few contractors, Valley Oasis seems to have the reputation as being the 'low price bidder'. With a pool, you either pay now or you pay later. read more
