Wow. Don't think that I have ever been here and it has be many years and I mean many years. This is a small family run restaurant serving great food. Yes, it is Mexican. There were 5 of us each ordering a variation on the same thing except for one of us. The most expensive item on the menu is 9A. This item gives you a selection of three of the most popular items. I did the beef enchilada, with a taco and a tostado. My wife did a chili Relleno with enchiladas and a taco. The other ordered similar items. One of us ordered the Mexican pizza. As I said the place is small and homey. Excellent service and great prices. Dinner for five was only $77.and change. A must stop place. So for great service and great food at a very reasonable price stop here. We will be returning soon. read more

Not a bad little Mexican restaurant! The people that work here are cheerful and friendly! I got the burrito with green chile. Like with any kind of cooking the recipe and the flavor can be all over the board. The green chile did not seem especially hot as far as ingredients go but it was spicy, giving it a kind of Tex-Mex flavor. The refried beans were good too! They had a creamy texture which made them instantly addicting and they did not stay around long! Really a nice little place to stop into from my jaunt back to Colorado! read more

Atmosphere: Upon first impression I was a little concerned. Not because the place is a little run down, I like that about some restaurants, but because the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Last night we had some significant rain and the air vent in the bathroom obviously leaked a lot of water and debris all over the toilet. Let's just say at first I thought it was something completely different. The place overall is relatively clean. I think they cleaned the bathrooms when they closed the previous night and didn't check them this morning. They opened at 11am and it's 3pm now. I'm the only customer here is it's very quiet. Some mild background music would be nice. The food: The chips were average but the salsa tasted freshly made, if a little runny. I ordered the quesadilla appetizer which arrived very fast. Though being the only customer, is expected, lol. There were two of them which were very thick and tasty. The meat was a little gristly but not overly so. It came with a nice helping of sour cream and guacamole. I then had the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice. The enchiladas were stuffed with cheese and the sauce was very tasty. The rice was very good but could use a little more seasoning. The best part of the plate however was the beans. These were the best refried beans I've ever had. All in all, this place is definitely worth a visit. read more

Move over Maria's Mexican Kitchen we found your replacement! We decided to try one of the recommended restaurants our friends told us about after our Maria's fiasco last week and yesterday we went to Patricia's Restaurant to on Washington Blvd in Ogden. Wow!!!! The food was absolutely fabulous and the service very friendly and cheerful. The chili in the chili relleno was the sweetest ever and it was not overly "eggy". The red sauce was full of flavor and did not burn my face off Why have I never noticed or heard about this restaurant before? And they are just around the corner from our house. Patricia's has the best chili verde! Other than the complimentary chips and salsa, which are good, I don't think I've ever eaten anything but the chili verde because it's so good. I love that it's a family-run business with Grandma, kids, and even grandchildren often times at the restaurant helping out. Go and order the chili verde! read more

Wonderful family owned and managed business. I come here every time I'm in Ogden on business. Lunch or dinner is always enough delicious combinations to fill your stomach and that hollow leg your grandpa was always saying you had. This time I had Charlie's burrito number two. Steak and onions smothered in a tasty gravy and cheese. Just about every plate comes with the rice and beans staple. Not sure why this place has such high reviews. The food was very bland and quite tasteless. The interior is very plain, no decorations really. It wouldn't be a problem if the food was awesome. We ended up ordering shrimp fajitas, and the chile relleno and tamale dish. The beans tasted obviously of coming from a powder mix and the sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce. Nothing special, good, or exciting here. Standard Americanized Mexican food in a plain setting with decent service. The lunch menus don't have the time lunch ends posted on them, so when I ordered a dish from that menu (while pointing to it) I got shrimp fajitas from the dinner menu. The woman didn't tell us it was only dinner, didn't ask which menu I was ordering from, and then didn't care that I was given something I hadn't intended to order. I'm allergic to shrimp, so I had to switch dishes with my mom. Ogden, thanks but no thanks. I had amazing food in Logan several years ago and unfortunately stopped here instead on this trip. One star for sloppy service and bad food. I'm hoping to at least get a nice BM from this since I've been stopped up recently. read more

As a California native (seems that a lot of Californian Yelpers are pretty snobby regarding their Mexican food), I can say that I like Patricia's a lot. It seems pretty authentic to me - particularly the rice and beans, which are quite good. The chips and salsa are good too. I just took my parents there, who were visiting from CA, and they said they were the best chips they had eaten at a Mexican restaurant (they eat out a lot!). If you're looking for black beans or yummy salads with a lot of greens, this is not your best restaurant choice. I like those kinds of meals too, but when I go to Patricia's I know that I am going to be eating the standard Mexican dishes. Recently I ordered the chicken fajitas to share with my 2 year-old daughter, and they were delicious, with lots of peppers and onions that were cooked to perfection. The prices are extremely reasonable, and they have very good lunch deals or combo plates for lunch and dinner. I used to eat lunch here all the time with a coworker. The service has always been good. They're not super friendly, but they get the job done, and there is always enough water to go around, which is important for me. With all the Mexican restaurant choices in Ogden, this is at or near the top of my list. read more

We were passing through Ogden and I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I had the enchilada combination which was quite good, it had three enchiladas (one cheese, one chicken and one beef) along with beans and rice. The meats were done very well, not overcooked and well-seasoned, and the rice seemed quite authentic, not mushy but fluffy. The restaurant has a relaxed, informal atmosphere, the kind of place locals like to go to. We were there on a Friday night, and they had a gentleman singing songs while playing guitar. The prices are fair with entrees running about $9 to $10, and portions are healthy. All in all, it was quite yummy, I'd go back if I ever found myself in Ogden again! read more

Went to Patricia's for lunch on a Saturday. We got a good lunch at a reasonable price. Not the best Mexican food but it was good. There were very few customers when we were there on a Saturday afternoon, as I mentioned the food was pretty good and lunch for $7 is a great deal. I was put off by the waitress and hostess chatting with each other very loudly in the dining room while we were eating that plus the lack luster decor and mediocre service doesn't make me want to race back anytime soon. Stopped by because of the good reviews on yelp. Food was mediocre, service was absolutely horrendous. We waited for 15 minutes to even order, in a quarter full restaurant. After we ate, my family went to the car while I waited for the check. I waited for 20 minutes... Even after we made eye contact and she knew we were done when the rest of my family went out. Finally got sick of it, walked up to the front and asked over the counter for my check. Pretty ridiculous. read more

Unfortunately did not live up to the reviews. The interior is pretty spartan, but I was hoping for great food and service. The food was good but not great. I had the chicken burrito and my wife had the enchiladas. Everything was good except the red sauce, which was closer to pizza sauce than a proper mexican sauce. The service was not great. As far as I could tell, there were only two people working in the entire restaurant. They were both cooking, waiting tables, bussing tables, and everything else. There was also one of the employees' children playing with a loud obnoxious toy, which was unpleasant. Overall, this place has potential as the food had some good flavors. With better sauce, a proper staff, and some interior decoration it could be a great restaurant, but it's certainly not there yet. read more

I just moved back from southern New Mexico and am searching for good Mexican food. So far this is not it, but it is good. The food has more flavor than a few other places in the area, prices are reasonable. The service we experienced was not good. The waitress forgot most of what we asked for, she didn't ask if we wanted something other than water to drink and seemed as if she really didn't care about making a good impression. Do not eat there! This restaurant (for lack of a better term) is mediocre to horrible. Earlier today I went in for lunch, was told to sit anywhere. I walked into the seating area and there where two tables occupied and the remaining tables and seats where filled with dirty plates and food. When I asked the server/waitress to clean a table for me she reluctantly came over and wiped everything down with what looked like a dirty dish towel... The owner Patricia an older Mexican women came by a few minutes later to take my order and I specifically asked her to recommend something NOT spicy. When I received my meal it all appeared very appetizing so I dug in and to my surprise it burned like crazy. When I told the server about it she said that it would be best that I not come back and walked away talking "Smack" under her breath! When I heard this I walked to the front and asked for the owner but was immediately verbally attacked with by both the owner Patricia and the server. Though not physically harmed they both came at me as though they were going to assault me. I held my ground and argued with them both for several minutes and at the end Patricia the owner blamed me for not liking the condiments she put on her food. Finally after turning blue in the face seeing that this was going nowhere I left never to return. The food is deceptive and as another review wrote the tomato sauce taste like it came out of a can. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. Gotta go, I'm on my third trip to the toilet in the last hour! read more

Authentic Mexican restaurant family run and friendly. Nice atmosphere, feels like you are sitting down for dinner with your family. Prices very reasonable. Menudo, Posole, fish tacos, regular tacos, etc. If I lived in Ogden, I would be a regular. There are actually 2 Patricia's restaurants. Try the one on 24th street and bring quarters to play 45s on the jukebox. Awesome. I once took a client here for a business lunch after they had suggested something much more expensive. There we were in our suits eating carne asana and menudo heaped with oregano while listening to Rod Stewart. The client liked the down to earth vibe and good food enough that the day's business was most successful. read more
