Patrick's has been my favorite pastry shop since Le Petite Marche (Patrick's). Everything tastes better than it looks and they look excellent. The Sarah cake with it's pistachios, eclairs that aren't soggy, strawberry Napoleans, etc... The hardest part is choosing. I want to buy 20 but settle for 2. It is probably best that we don't live nearby or I would be here daily. The breads are amazing too. Lots of options plus sandwiches and entrees. Did I mention the desserts? How can I not order a decaf Roseberry Shakerato? Made with decaf espresso, this beautiful shaken drink arrived in a tall glass with perfect layers and a luxurious foam (the photo really doesn't lie!). The star is that dreamy swirl of pink rose-and-raspberry whipped topping on top. It's creamy, fragrant, and -- most importantly -- genuinely not too sweet. The rose and berry accents are elegant and balanced, finished with rose petals and a touch of pink crumble petals for texture. Every sip felt like a little celebration: floral, jazzy, uplifting, and just plain joyful. This is sophisticated, refreshing, and fun all at once. This is such a cute bakery, with amazing desserts. I have been here multiple times and tried many different things, and everything is really good! The service is always very helpful as well. The butter cookies are simple yet fresh, and the classic opera cake was moist, delicious, and flavorful. If it wasn't so far away, I would definitely visit more often. read more

Patrick's Bakery in Edina was a great experience, especially for a first visit. I tried my first ever quiche here and it was really good, fresh, and filling without feeling too heavy. They also have a huge selection of pastries that all looked amazing, which honestly made it hard to choose just one thing. The place has a nice bakery feel and everything coming out of the kitchen looked like it was made with care. I was in the area and decided to stop and check out Patrick's Bakery. Even though it was busy, the line to order moved quickly. There's a huge selection of pastries, salad, sandwiches, and quiche, which made choosing a challenge in the best way. I ordered the vegetable quiche and a raspberry macaron. The wait was about 10 minutes as they heated the quiche for me. It was phenomenal, honestly one of the best quiches I've ever had. The flavor and texture were perfect The raspberry macaron was also delicious and a great sweet addition. I like that they make them double the size of the traditional macaron! The inside decor is simple, which keeps the focus on the food. I appreciated the self-serve water station with cups available, a thoughtful touch. The staff was clearly working hard and keeping things moving. There's a free parking right out front. When I'm in the area again, I would like to come back to try more from their menu. read more

This place is usually super busy when I come so the staff always seem irritated here and not too friendly. Just trying to move people along. I usually just grab something from their case so I can get out of there quickly. The restaurant is always packed so I never got a chance to sit down here. Came in to celebrate a wedding anniversary because I was craving crème brûlée. I appreciate the different protein and meal choices for dinner as my husband can't eat pork. We reserved a table ahead of time but didn't really need to. The place is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. There's seating outside but when you walk in, the place is cramped or cozy, you could say. Our seating options were literally 2 inches from the restroom or at a small rectangular table turned sideways so that we were eating across each other the short way. We opted for the short table so that we weren't sitting right next to people going in and out of the bathroom. Seating is incredibly cramped in here. If you're looking for space, best to sit outside or maybe take it to go. The food was good overall. My husband praised the rack of lamb and ate them to the bone. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The cauliflower gratin was good but needed a touch more seasoning--I also heard another diner ask for salt and pepper. The risotto was not as flavorful as I had hoped but still nice. The food is worth another stop in. The service was rather touchy. Our waiter was incredibly kind, so not hate towards him. But the service was really slow. After we sat and waited for a bit, one of the other servers asked if our server had come by yet and said they would give us water but that they were not our server and that our server was really slow. Didn't think much of it as I can understand people get behind and can get busy, not a big deal. It took about 15 mins but the server finally came by and dropped off the mushroom canapés. Didn't take our order yet though, another amount of time after that, they came by to take our order. Everything took a long time. By the time we were given bread (wasn't given a second set of utensils) and got our drink order, it had been over 40 minutes. I know this cause we arrived at 6;05 and by the time I looked again, it was 6:48. We didn't fuss and just took the time to talk--good spot to have lengthy chats with people if you're looking for that. Anyway, we finally got to the main attraction and the reason for eating dinner here, the crème brûlée. I was so excited but immediately disappointed. The crème brûlée was just straight from the fridge so instead of a nice, crisp, delicious top crust of burnt sugar, it was a cold top of wet, wet, gooeyness. We opted to stop eating it and would bring it home to re-sugar and brûlée it properly. Overall, it was quite an experience but I guess worth a try. If anything, stop in for a sweet treat, just maybe not the crème brûlée. read more

100 percent authentic French. Best bread I've ever have. It's served w dinner along with a salmon pate crustini. Delicious. We tried the steak salad and the mussels and both of those things were amazing. The service was excellent. She was kind efficient and helpful. Was really impressed for the dinner menu. I'm always happy when these small unassuming restaurants in a shopping center or strip mall can be so lovely and produce such great food. Patrick's Bakery and Café was just that. Upon entering, there is so much going on. There is a full bakery display case where absolutely everything looks divine, there is an open kitchen where you can see them putting together some fabulous breakfast and lunch items, and with a fairly small footprint, the tables are tightly packed and bustling with families and friends catching up with one another. I went with their classic eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce and this delicious "Sarah's cake" which was a dark chocolate dome filled with chocolate mousse and a delicious pistachio cake layer on the bottom. I would love to return when the weather is nice and I can sip some of their espresso on their cute little outdoor space. read more

I started with the French onion soup crostini but it didn't wow me, the lobster risotto was delicious the texture wasn't perfect but the white wine sauce really elevated the flavors of the dish. Considering the price, our dishes were unfortunately a little underwhelming. I wanted to love this place for breakfast, and have loved some of the previous salads and sandwiches I've had, but the French toast was bland and bread-y - like the eggs were a quick wash, rather than letting them soak in. My husband's omelet was unseasoned and bland. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee was good and strong, with beautiful big, wide cups and free refills. Don't let the name fool you, although it sounds Irish this is actually a very nice French bakery. I have only had the desserts but they also have a full menu with sandwiches and other goodies and I notched they also have special deals like "ladies nights" featuring drink specials and more. This cute and cozy restaurant has a European vibe with an amazing bakery! I stopped in the other night to try out a few desserts to go, and after two days of snacking through several different pastries I can say they were all SO good! I've never been much of an eclair person but this place changed my mind, even though it was the last thing I tried and had been sitting in my fridge for two days. The praline cake was rich in flavor but light in texture, making it perfect for devouring in one sitting. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant for next day's lunch, and of course it was also delicious. We stopped by for some pastries to go. We got the chocolate eclair, napoleon, opera cake and feuilletine praline cake. They were all pretty good though very sweet. Chocolate eclair needed to be more chocolatey and the opera was missing the coffee buttercream, it didn't taste of coffee at all. We paid $42 for 6 pastries which is a little spendy. Ordering was a bit chaotic. The flow was off, it wasn't obvious if you should be ordering at the pastry counter or at the register. Lots of parking available. We will definetly go back and try for lunch. You could see some of the savory options in the cases and they looked good. read more

I came in with a friend for lunch having never been in before. It was delightful. My friend helped me navigate how to order and then we seated ourselves. Our food came out quickly and was delicious! First off all the service was horrendous. One of the woman servers was pretty much kicking us out. We were there for maybe 35 min before she came up and tried to take our half finished food. Then she kept coming back to make us uncomfortable asking are we done few more times. There were maybe 3 other tables full we were not holding up anything for them , there was no costumers waiting . There was no line . She made us feel really uncomfortable. We were just hanging out eating our food and trying to catch up with friends . Food was not great . Cold unsalted fries , brisket bbq burger was too sweet and so-so. We bought few cakes to go . The raspberry cake was hard , too sweet and gross . The passion fruit cake was ok but not passion fruit flavor that I wish it had it was overwhelmed by cinnamon. Trinity cake was good. We ended up going next door to cute coffee shop and the staff there was amazing welcoming and had amazing drinks. I would not recommend this place . Not worth the price for mediocre food and extremely rude service from the middle age woman who made us feel very uncomfortable. read more

Our family loves this bakery not just for the delicious treats but also for breakfast. It is a bit small and you have to order at the front of the restaurant (they do bring your food to the table) but everything we have tried tastes great. Plenty of parking spots out front. The service has always been friendly even when they are busy. Only downside is that it's a bit small for how many people love going there, but they can't do much about that.
