Patrick's Bakery in Edina was a great experience, especially for a first visit. I tried my first ever quiche here and it was really good, fresh, and filling without feeling too heavy. They also have a huge selection of pastries that all looked amazing, which honestly made it hard to choose just one thing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a nice bakery feel and everything coming out of the kitchen looked like it was made with care.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be coming back to work through more of the menu and try some of those pastries I didn't get to this time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a cute bakery, with amazing desserts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have been here multiple times and tried many different things, and everything is really good! The service is always very helpful as well. The butter cookies are simple yet fresh, and the classic opera cake was moist, delicious, and flavorful. If it wasn't so far away, I would definitely visit more often.

Great little French spot, really good food and pastries! They have quite the selection pastries, all made fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room has plenty of seating, but can be a bit tight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a patio as well which is just fine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a quick service counter, which is very convenient. Give it a try, you'll be happy you did.

lots of options and it looks like everything is made in house. they were super helpful with answering questions, i just wish the prices were more clear on things. i got two macarons, the strawberry and the chocolate, and i hated them both. usually i love them but these were so much bigger that way i usually get so that may have changed the flavor. still giving 5 stars cause your taste buds may be different from mine and they were so nice!

    Chicken Salad sandwich to-go

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really dark inside but the food on display was well lit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was really fast and the cashier was nice. I'd love to go again :D

I was in the area and decided to stop and check out Patrick's Bakery. Even though it was busy, the line to order moved quickly. There's a huge selection of pastries, salad, sandwiches, and quiche, which made choosing a challenge in the best way. I ordered the vegetable quiche and a raspberry macaron. The wait was about 10 minutes as they heated the quiche for me. It was phenomenal, honestly one of the best quiches I've ever had. The flavor and texture were perfect The raspberry macaron was also delicious and a great sweet addition. I like that they make them double the size of the traditional macaron! The inside decor is simple, which keeps the focus on the food. I appreciated the self-serve water station with cups available, a thoughtful touch. The staff was clearly working hard and keeping things moving. There's a free parking right out front. When I'm in the area again, I would like to come back to try more from their menu.

Came in to celebrate a wedding anniversary because I was craving crème brûlée. I appreciate the different protein and meal choices for dinner as my husband can't eat pork. We reserved a table ahead of time but didn't really need to. The place is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's seating outside but when you walk in, the place is cramped or cozy, you could say. Our seating options were literally 2 inches from the restroom or at a small rectangular table turned sideways so that we were eating across each other the short way. We opted for the short table so that we weren't sitting right next to people going in and out of the bathroom. Seating is incredibly cramped in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for space, best to sit outside or maybe take it to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good overall. My husband praised the rack of lamb and ate them to the bone. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The cauliflower gratin was good but needed a touch more seasoning--I also heard another diner ask for salt and pepper. The risotto was not as flavorful as I had hoped but still nice. The food is worth another stop in. The service was rather touchy. Our waiter was incredibly kind, so not hate towards him. But the service was really slow. After we sat and waited for a bit, one of the other servers asked if our server had come by yet and said they would give us water but that they were not our server and that our server was really slow. Didn't think much of it as I can understand people get behind and can get busy, not a big deal. It took about 15 mins but the server finally came by and dropped off the mushroom canapés. Didn't take our order yet though, another amount of time after that, they came by to take our order. Everything took a long time. By the time we were given bread (wasn't given a second set of utensils) and got our drink order, it had been over 40 minutes. I know this cause we arrived at 6;05 and by the time I looked again, it was 6:48. We didn't fuss and just took the time to talk--good spot to have lengthy chats with people if you're looking for that. Anyway, we finally got to the main attraction and the reason for eating dinner here, the crème brûlée. I was so excited but immediately disappointed. The crème brûlée was just straight from the fridge so instead of a nice, crisp, delicious top crust of burnt sugar, it was a cold top of wet, wet, gooeyness. We opted to stop eating it and would bring it home to re-sugar and brûlée it properly. Overall, it was quite an experience but I guess worth a try. If anything, stop in for a sweet treat, just maybe not the crème brûlée.

Patrick's was a great spot for brunch. The backers looked amazing but we opted for egg dishes. We walked there but parking was readily available. Lines are long but well worth it on a Sunday morning.

100 percent authentic French. Best bread I've ever have. It's served w dinner along with a salmon pate crustini. Delicious. We tried the steak salad and the mussels and both of those things were amazing. The service was excellent. She was kind efficient and helpful. Was really impressed for the dinner menu. I can't wait to go back and try some more!!

I'm always happy when these small unassuming restaurants in a shopping center or strip mall can be so lovely and produce such great food. Patrick's Bakery and Café was just that. Upon entering, there is so much going on. There is a full bakery display case where absolutely everything looks divine, there is an open kitchen where you can see them putting together some fabulous breakfast and lunch items, and with a fairly small footprint, the tables are tightly packed and bustling with families and friends catching up with one another. I went with their classic eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce and this delicious "Sarah's cake" which was a dark chocolate dome filled with chocolate mousse and a delicious pistachio cake layer on the bottom. I would love to return when the weather is nice and I can sip some of their espresso on their cute little outdoor space.

When we visited for dinner it was easy and convenient to find parking and we did not wait at all to be seated. I started with the French onion soup crostini but it didn't wow me, the lobster risotto was delicious the texture wasn't perfect but the white wine sauce really elevated the flavors of the dish. It also nice to be able to pick up some delicious desserts to go like the truffles we got. I would visit again!

Considering the price, our dishes were unfortunately a little underwhelming. I wanted to love this place for breakfast, and have loved some of the previous salads and sandwiches I've had, but the French toast was bland and bread-y - like the eggs were a quick wash, rather than letting them soak in. My husband's omelet was unseasoned and bland. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee was good and strong, with beautiful big, wide cups and free refills. Their pastries are beautiful and huge - I would just get a croissant and coffee next time I'm here for breakfast.

Haven't been here in years. We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dessert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is casual with seating inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The young lady server was attentive. Unfortunately they had a limited selection of desserts as most had already been sold out. The truffles were not up to par. The napoleon was good but not special. My coconut and chocolate chip cookie and crème brûlée were once again good / satisfactory.

I wanted to order one of everything - especially in the snacks section of the menu. We stopped in for happy hour with a reservation on the patio. I really enjoyed I could reserve a spot outside, a lot of places won't guarantee that. We enjoyed the happy hour selection, including the tini flight, wine, margarita and spritz. We also enjoyed oysters, caviar, rock shrimp tempura, tallow fries and the dexter burger. All was fantastic, and I would love to come back and truly try everything else on the menu! One note of caution, while we were there a gust of wind blew an umbrella out of its stand and almost landed/punctured a guest at a nearby table. It was quite the commotion and very scary. I'm guessing that doesn't happen often but a good reminder to be aware of your surroundings all the time!

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead.
