I am very frustrated and discontent with how my hair turned out at this barber shop. I showed up and asked for a scissor cut, no fade, full taper on the sideburns and neck lines. Not once did I stutter. I have natural curly hair and simply wanted to have the overgrown look made clean and sharp. For some reason, the barber decides to take out #5 clippers and shave my head! Practically gave me a buzz cut! What part of the word "scissor cut" means electric clippers? Not only did he shave my head short but it doesn't even look good for a 5 top/2 sides haircut. I am livid. Seeing Patrick's didn't open until 9am I drove 10 minutes to the barber shop arriving 5 minutes before opening time. Best barbershop in lakeside ! Came in and Michael cut my hair and did my beard. Great fade the guy was very professional and knew what he was doing. He also offered me a nose wax ! Patrick sold this shop and the fellows that took it over are great, if you don't mind looking like Moe of the Three Stooges when they're done. All three barbers that work there look like Moe as well. Great place. Clean and professional. They have diverse clientele from kids to senior citizens and everything in between. I've had hair cuts mostly by Mary and she does an incredible job. When she's not there I use Patrick and he does amazing, too. I've taken both my boys here and they've done well with them. The older gentleman even did well with my 10yos request for a comb over. I recommended this place to two of my friends and now this is there go to spot and they both love Eddie. The point is, the place is great and you should go there. read more

Okay....I have come to Patrick's Barber Ship for my last 3 haircuts. Being military, I cut my hair every other week at a minimum. I have Mari as my barber/stylist each time. Each time I have left telling myself I just need to schedule my next appintment now so that I can plug in to my calendar. Mari is a great barber/stylist. She is welcoming, engaging and is excellent at her profession. I LOVE my haircut. She has many years of experience and has been in Lakeside for a few months now after having been in south bay previously. I brought my son in to get his haircut and she got it perfect. He is 11 and in 6th grade and we all remember 6th grade. Whether we want to admit it or not, our haircut was becoming more important, everyday. He loves his cut and he will be coming here to see Mari again. I am excited at bring in my daughter very soon, as Mari does fantastic work with female hair....did I mention my daughter has A LOT of hair...lol...looking forward to seeing Mari work her scissor magic on my 8 year old girls hair. If you are within 20 miles of Patrick's Barber Shop I recommend this place and Mari. She will take care of your hair needs. Heck, even if you are beyond 20 miles, come on down. Patrick, D.K. and Mary are among the best barbers in the city. I can get a haircut for half the price on the Navy base where I work, but it's also half the quality. A very clean shop, nice furniture to sit on and a TV to watch while you wait. When I bring my boys in, if something is on TV not appropriate for them, they will change the channel to Nickelodeon or Disney for them. I have been going there for a while and really love the service especially Patrick. I am 68 years old so I remember the service in barber shops back many years ago.
