To cut to the chase: Mark Deon, the owner, came to my house in Rocky Point, NY, following snow storm of March 8, 2018, to see about removing two evergreens and a small willow tree felled by the storm. His quote: $1,200! He said, "That's a fair price. You won't get someone doing it for $600, or something." (I'm a reporter, so those were his exact words.) The next day, a terrific arborist, Martin Streeff of Sound Beach, did it all for $700! Deon was hardly a stranger when he came. He had been recommended by our electrician, a friend of his. In the past month, he had already been to our house twice for two long visits about our roof condensation problem. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth as he talked about his company, and everything else. But he'd already canceled twice. I'd even asked if our job was too small for him; oh, no, he said. So when he tried to gouge us for the $1,200 for the trees, we already had a "relationship." After I called and left a message that we'd had the work done for just about half of his quote, he left a message in return that he was no longer interested in our roof job, that it was better if "the two parties went their ways." Wow, I couldn't agree more! Imagine if he'd actually started the roof job. There are many, many contractors out there; no need to go with a guy looking to rip you off.

Much like other reviews, the job went on for about 9 months. My property was left in complete shambles and my front yard became storage for the owner's equipment. They had no respect for my property, regularly discarding their lunch garbage on my property as well as debris from the job. There was trash everywhere. In order to raise my property, he chose to save money and use dirt mixed with concrete and rock. As you can imagine, the concrete has completely hardened over the years causing grass to be built essentially on a concrete slab. My property now does not drain water, so the water just sits on the grass causing me countless water issues. I have had to pay to have drains installed throughout my property in hopes of fixing this issue. I will have to eventually dig all this up and replace this the proper way. They chose not to use concrete to build the walls of my pool patio, instead using paver walls filled with sand. The patio around my pool has collapsed in many areas. When it rains you can watch the sand just flow out the sides of the patio walls. I have patched this over the years, but now it is fully collapsing and will need to be fully replaced. The settling also caused the pool pipes to break and those had needed to be replaced. They chose to use cement block to raise the pool instead of pouring cement. They never filled the holes in the cement blocks properly and never smoothed the edges. Immediately upon completing the job, I had to replace the pool liner because the cement blocks caved in causing holes. I now have to replace the pool liner a second time in 4 years and re-do the work around the pool to correct the poor craftsmanship here. Hampton Hardscapes also installed an outdoor kitchen for me. As I have been having to fix that over the years, I had a high quality mason come and he could not believe that the entire structure was built using wood and stucco, vs building out the structure properly. I will also need to replace this in totality due to poor craftsmanship. All in all, it will cost me about $100K to fix all the low quality work done on my property. I trusted Yasser and his company to fix my issues, but was left with more problems than I started with. The best part is, Yasser threatened to sue ME for withholding less than 5% of the final payment as I begged them to finish the job, get his equipment off my property and fix the things which were broken throughout the process. I can back up this entire review with pictures and receipts.

Then on the 4th of July this year, one of the AC units went out. It was blistering hot and we had a house full of people in to attend a funeral for a family member. I called Kolb in a panic and spoke to Sean. He said they were getting hammered with calls due to the heat, but would do his best to get a tech out as soon as possible. That afternoon Damian came to our home and had our AC up and running in less than an hour. We are so thankful for Kolb's responsiveness. And the quality of their work.
