Terrible customer service! Had a scheduled oil delivery which took 3 days to get due to snow storm. We had an empty oil tank due to closing on the house a few days prior and previous owner left very little oil in tank. The day of delivery, the driver said he couldn't get down the block to deliver oil because he didn't think the road was plowed well enough. The road was plowed well and not icy at all. They said they would try again the next day. Since we took off work to be there the day before we requested a call to give a time. We got a call saying we were next stop. Since we were 30 mins away, we asked if they could give us some time to get there. We were 10 mins away and driver would not wait or come back. We were then told they would not come back for 3 more days. We were told someone had to be there with cash for delivery. We were not told we could use credit card and not have to be there. The woman who answered phone was very rude and unsympathetic and did not take complaint seriously. Would never use this company! Buyer beware. Management should listen to the way their employees speak to customers and work on service issues read more

Not only was he super nice, and super knowledgeable, but the level of customer service is the best that I have gotten anywhere. He helped me set up the delivery and we did some price comparing, and he made this very easy for me.I was having a bad day, and he made it that much better. Was told I needed a mechanic to prime tank after getting an oil delivery.... Mind you that's what I was told All Island would do???? Their tech "couldn't fit" in our crawl space so they had us go the whole weekend with no heat until they found someone that could. I even tried having the worker come look at the crawl space prior to our oil delivery so that we could make sure he would fit & could do the job. He insisted that he didn't need to look & that he could do the job. Upon him attempting to go in my crawl space he said he "could not fit" & to find a "slimmer tech". We then went the weekend without a functioning burner because All Island didn't have someone to come prime our tank after our delivery. I had a mechanic come & assess the situation and we were told that the tank was never even bled at all because if it was, our boiler would've turned on no problem, that's was the only issue!!! Within 10 minutes he bled the system & it was running! I'm not sure what All Island came & did but it wasn't prime the tank. Thank you All Island, for not only leaving us cold for 2 days in 40 degrees with a baby because "you guys didn't have someone that fit in my crawl space", but for not doing the job they were sent to do & costing is so much more than necessary. A 35-50 service costed us $300! ** they also changed the price of the priming service MULTIPLE times, was told it was $35 when included with an oil delivery, then was told it would be 50 because it was a service now done outside of my oil delivery, mind you that was at no fault of my own because their tech claimed "he couldnt fit" in our crawl space & refuse to look at the space ahead of time like I asked , then the next day it was miraculously 35 again when I scheduled for them to come*** PLEASEEEE save your money & find a more honest company that actually cares about its customers & not a quick dollar. read more

I can't say enough about All Island Fuel company. For years I paid way too much with other companies where I had signed a contract. All Island Fuel will not be undersold so I always know I am getting the best deal on Long Island, not to mention the great deals I get for extra saving in my email. I have been a HEAP customer for several years. Recently, Social Services determined that I am no longer eligible for their program. One of the case workers called them and asked them to refund the $741 they were paid. They refuse to refund the money to Social Services and I am being held accountable for this money. Since I am on a limited income, I will not be able to afford the $741 and it is causing me to be unable to purchase oil. I have to shut my burner down so as not to have the tank run out. We were out of oil on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend! All Island Fuel was the only company open and willing to come to our house to deliver oil on that Saturday. We expected to wait hours for the truck to come deliver oil, but it wasn't long at all. The delivery guy was awesome! He was very nice, respectful and knew his stuff. Despite us having to have him come out on a holiday weekend, he was professional and courteous! We are new clients, so he checked the oil tank, filled the tank, and did paperwork in a very timely, efficient manner. Got home heating fuel at a decent price. I had opted in for the 15$ treatment to be added prior to fueling but Charles came unprepared for the job without the treatment, claiming a colleague failed to let him know our delivery included this. Charles was nice.. just not prepared for our delivery. Price adjustment occurred and he suggested purchasing from home depot and adding it later today.. Despite claiming online to have the technology to track their trucks for scheduling, they are unable to provide a window of time when to expect delivery - even on the same day. read more

Called them to fill up my heating oil tanks and the first thing that the driver did when arrived was to ask my wife to show them the cash for the fill up and sign a document for $1,200 before he starts pumping the oil in. What ????? , in 35 years living here and using oil , this is the first time I was treated like a delinquent by a company like this and a rude driver. Got a delivery 2 weeks ago and the guy who delivered for All island dropped oil in a path of about 100 feet of my driveway.Called them up and couple hours later finally get a call back from Steve the owner. Made an appointment for today. Explained the whole situation in the house. Take BBQ tanks from back, set up new 100 pound propane tank, set up new stove and switch out existing line going into the house. Service man shows up at 5:08pm (I called 2 times to check on ETA throughout the day) maybe he was in a rush, tired...don't know. Didn't care for the attitude given to me. Not my fault he showed up at 5:08pm. I waited ALL DAY. Service man tells me my stove needs to be converted and the office didn't tell him that or that he needed to run a new line and that would take over an hour. Ok....so?!? I don't know DO YOUR JOB. Serviceman left, called the office, same woman I made the appointment with says well yeah you will have to convert your stove. Ok have a nice day. And hangs up. TRASH COMPANY. DO NOT USE!!!! We left money for a delivery under the mat they took the money never delivered any oil and never left a receipt. When we called to question them they said it was delivered and there was a hole in our oil tank. Which is false we had another fuel company come and deliver us oil once we realized we had no hot water and the pipes were probably going to freeze. The other oil company informed us there was in fact no hole in the tank. We have been waiting for a phone call from the owner of the company to call us back it's been 3 days. Such terrible customer service, I actually have a recording of the conversation of the woman being extremely rude and making excuse after excuse about the situation. I ordered oil online from them on a Saturday and immediately followed up with a phone call to confirm my order because I was running very low and the first delivery date available was Monday and a Nor'easter was approaching. They looked me up in the system and confirmed I was on the schedule. 24 hours later they called and said they were not going to be able to deliver to me because it was out of their way and the owner was refusing delivery. I told the woman that contacted me that I had already called and confirmed my order and I was running out of oil. She said she would reach back out to the owner and get back to me. She called back and stated the owner said they were not going to deliver my fuel. When I pleaded with her to deliver to me just this once she started to lie and say that they could not drive on ocean parkway. 11/21/2018 the driver in truck #30 blows the stop sign at Alder Lane and Pinetop as I was going through the intersection! I almost died, I slammed my break, stopped dead in my tracks and I narrowly avoided the crash. (By inches) Now I'm stopped in the middle of the intersection, stunned at what happened and this guy just keeps driving like nothing happened! The guy stops for a delivery a few blocks away on Smith Road at about 4:10pm and I told him. "You almost killed me, didn't you see the stop sign!?" The driver says, "I saw the stop sign, so what." and "accidents happen every day." I asked him to be careful because he almost killed me and he then told me to get out of my car so he can fight me!!! (Literally in front of his customer's house) This is the point I knew what I was dealing with, so I just drove away. I called the company to let them know what happened but the way they blew me off and said the supervisor was too busy to deal with it was a clear indication that they hire drivers like this all the time and don't really care about the complaints. They are not honest. I have had thier propane service for 20 years. I ran out during the Covid 19 issues and call for a fill multiple times. Call the # on the Tank. They just transfer you to a # that does not respond. They Don't tell you they no longer own the propane division. They don't tell you anything. They lied to me on the phone. Just be honest and a community leader. Playing games with no heart. I had to call another company for a new account from Paraco. Becuase of this I recommend anyone but Long Island Fuel. They aren't honest with this, what else are they willing to lie about. Boooo!! You lied to me. read more

Horrible customer service, the propane department mysteriously goes dark for days at a time, and when you try to get in touch via All Island Fuel, they give you a shady runaround saying they have no control over the propane side of things. Multiple instances have occurred where we are left for days and run out of propane to be freezing in our home with no hot water for days. Do not use these people for propane. read more

They are a bunch of crooks and will short you your delivery and charge you for more than what they filled!! We had a delivery yesterday and we had 10'' of fuel in our tank before our delivery which is 59 gallons. After our delivery, we had 19'' of fuel in our tank which is 125 gallons. Simple math will tell you that they gave us 66 gallons of fuel. However, they charged us for 100 gallons. When I called to ask about this, I was told we would get a refund as soon as the tickets are entered into the system and was told to call back tomorrow (which is today). When calling back today, I was told to call back after 1pm, as the tickets were not ordered. I was told we probably have a whistle problem with our tank, where the whistle went off before it was full. I called back at 2pm and was told the tickets were still not entered and I refused to hang up and demanded an answer. I was given two different stories about their accounting process and was told they couldn't help me. Buyers beware!!!! Do not do business with this SHADY company. If you are going to tell lies to your customer ... you better tell your "manager" that she should learn to get her lies straight! ZERO STARS!!! read more

Follow up on my previous post, today is the day of the delivery. I have to work today (which is two days after my scheduled delivery day) and they will only accept a check if I provide them all of my personal information including drivers license prior to the delivery. Well, if they delivered on time or even the next day, I could meet the driver. These guys run a halfwit operation and I am giving them my info? Yeah right. I have provided the driver checks before without issue. The person stated this has always been the policy. Yeah, then how did you cash my checks before. Done. Never again will I use this company. BUYER BEWARE! Avoid these crooks at all costs. Our first delivery was the normal #2 home heating oil. After our second delivery my husband noticed a drip from our just serviced and cleaned burner, and that the level in our oil tank seemed to be a little lower than it should have been. He put a pan to catch the drips and immediately noticed it did not smell like heating oil. We then looked at our delivery ticket and it stated that they delivered #0, which is biodeisal. This can cause serious damage to your burner. We caught it, but the average person would not. read more

LUCKILY our pipes did not freeze !!!!! The following morning when we called not once but three times we finally got in touch with the manager who sent an employee over stating there was a hole in our oil tank WHICH IN FACT THERE WAS NOT because we had ANOTHER oil company come and fill our tank up AGAIN and they said our oil tank is in perfect shape .... that being said the manager was supposed to call US back that day NEVER did ... 3 days later we called him back and his final response was a $50 credit or take him to court !!! Had a Horrible experience with all island fuel!!! Called 6 weeks in advance for them to pick up my tank as I was moving out of state ... I called at least 10xs ... apparently only one girl handles propane. Either she wasn't there , she would call me back etc... every time I asked when they would get my tank I got oh they are just very busy ... we will get to you when we can...i even text the owner!! He's yet to respond to me!! I moved today and 6 weeks later tank still sits...when I told them today the new person is moving in a few days and will be using a new company she said well they can't disconnect our tank we have to do it!!! Are you serious I have been calling for a month and a half.. now had I been calling for you to "install " a tank they would've been all over it because then it would be money!!
