Yeah, you guessed; she was flat as a pancake, but I was able to wobble my Kia over to Hoovers Farm Market. I called my car insurance and asked for a tow - you don't have roadside service on your car insurance; What the heck?? I'm googling (wishing I could just shop at Hoovers), saw good reviews from JK Towing, asked for the price (which I felt decent); how long will it take you to get to me (25ish minutes - doable); called Costco and said I'll be there within the hour; they're like; yeah right. Sure enough, got picked up within the time frame promised. Costco was a mad house of crazed Thanksgiving shoppers, but this guy was very patient and weaved his truck/my car and was able to park it in the designated tire parking spot, with swift expertise.

I recently had to bring my truck back from Joplin, MO on an RGN to get the engine rebuilt. I had it loaded on with a wrecker and when I got back to Mount Joy I called Morgans to take it off. George has been gone for a long time but his legend lives on with his grandson, Mike, that is absolutely amazing. He knew I was coming into town. When I got there he said when he could meet me. He was there way faster than he thought. He gave me a rate per hour with no predatory charges. He did the job. What was the charge? 1 hour labor at an extremely reasonable rate. King's Towing arrived to tow my son's car on Easter morning. The vehicle had a handicap placard…read morehanging from the rear view mirror and was parked in a spot marked reserved for handicap. The company continues to say that the driver "thought" the Manheim Township police requested the tow. After investigating the incident, a police representative said not only didn't they request this tow, they NEVER request a tow from a handicap spot. If there is a violation, they ticket the vehicle. King's Towing has demonstrated that they are just one of the many tow companies that give the industry a bad name.

He towed the car out of the garage to the street. Reset to tow the car from the front and took it to the dealership. The ignition key cylinder was replaced so the car starts and runs fine. Terrible customer service today. All I was trying to do was purchase something from their travel…read moresection and they acted like it was too much trouble to take my money. First of all, the check in clerk (a fill-in during a lunch break) was helping the man in front of me. It took forever, and it was obvious that she was going out of her way to find information that he should have brought with him. That in itself was not the problem, though. I can wait my turn. While I was waiting, though, a man walked in and instead of getting in line behind me, walked right over to one of the windows. Apparently, he didn't have his card, but the clerk, who saw that he hadn't even checked in, told him to come over, he'd help him. Then, when the man in front of me was finally finished, I moved up. When I told the clerk what I wanted, her expression and body language made it perfectly clear that she didn't want to process my purchase. Just then another customer entered and she immediately told me I had to wait so she could check in the person behind me because "this will take awhile." REALLY? I just stood there and waited while she helped the man in front of me and another man bypassed check-in entirely, and she doesn't want to make another customer wait while she rings up my purchase??? Unbelievable. Then the regular clerk returned, the fill-in said "oh you're back" and walked away without a word to me and without telling the other clerk what I was waiting for. I've been a Central Penn AAA customer for many years and have never been treated so rudely.

When I see reviews being extremely critical of a place that has always seemed great to me, i'm sad that they only gave them one chance. if I encountered a rude person I would either assume they were busy, or I'd just brush it off as that person, and not blame the whole companyunless every time I went in there I encountered that person being rude. but, they have always been polite and helpful in my experience over 30-some years. But of course, I don't know the situation so maybe they did encounter one or two people that didn't answer as kindly as they would have liked. The other day I had to call them for roadside service and I was in a hurry and told the dispatcher. I didn't really think it would help because usually most people would say they were in a hurry and probably are, but I was pleasantly surprised at how hard the tow truck driver tried to reach me quickly. It took longer than I expected and he expected, but he got stuck in traffic where a road was unexpectedly closed. I so much appreciated that he kept in touch with me, to let me know why. And I could tell he was frustrated that he couldn't get to me as quickly as he wanted to. So I knew he was trying. This experience was very positive for me, despite the fact that it took a while. But that wasn't the fault of AAA or the tow truck driver. The dispatcher at AAA went out of her way to make my experience a good one.
