He took amazing care of all of us--baiting our hooks, helping us cast, etc. It was my son's first time fishing and Fred made it memorable. At first the fish weren't biting because there had been a cold front for a few days before our trip. But Fred wouldn't give up. He took us around to several different spots until we found some fish that actually wanted to eat. We caught a bunch of beautiful spotted trout. And it was also just beautiful traveling around through all the mangrove inlets...we saw egrets and heron and osprey. It was a great trip and great service.

We went on a 8 hours excursion with my son and dad and it was an experience of a lifetime. Capt Jared talked us through what kind of fishing we would be doing and where we would go. He had a loose plan for the day, based on the tides, weather, etc. We were not disappointed. We were on fish within 10 minutes of leaving the dock, and it really didn't stop all day. We fished docks early, then some oyster beds, small islands, then out to some reefs, the sand key jetty, then back to docks to finish up. We caught some of everything (black drum, sheepshead, a flounder!, red fish, mangrove snapper, a shark, snook, and trout). Many were not keepers, but we did pretty well. I think we took home 11 keepers, after catching about 50 fish (we kind of lost count). If we didn't have any luck in a spot, we moved on pretty quickly. He seemed to know the patterns intimately. He was such a good guide. He truly wants people of have a great fishing experience. He was disappointed that he couldn't have gotten us more fish (he highly recommends the spring season). We were happy with our experience. NOTE: If you are staying local, there is a place in Ozone (Molly Goodheads) that will prepare your fish. He knows where to go, keeps your line in the water 99% of the time and is just plain full of interesting fish facts as he's been fishing the area all his life. He's the 5th generation, born and raised in the area plus has fished all over the world but loves Tarpon Springs best. His boat is small but efficient, clean and perfect for getting you in areas that other big boats cannot. My husband, grandson (19) and i fished with him today from Tarpon Springs. We did a four hour trip. We had a great experience thanks to Corey's knowledge of the area and his persistent attitude. You could tell he enjoyed seeing us catch fish. It was windy and cool but we persuaded him to take us out and with his help, we caught a whole bunch of fish! 3 Snook 5 Sea Trout 1 Red fish And a few turns!
