Exit 11 Car Wash, the good, the bad, and the ugly…read more We've been to the Exit 11 Car Wash before, and thought it was OK. Today, I think the Exit 11 Car Wash is NOT OK. First, I wrongly thought that there were some self-service bays at the Exit 11 Car Wash, there are none. What there are at Exit 11 Car Wash are three, brush-less, high pressure water, car washes. Granted its winter, and the roads are dirty, but, our car was not that dirty, and our car came out of the Exit 11 Car Wash about as dirty as it was going into an Exit 11 Car Wash bay. For a Basic Wash we paid Exit 11 Car Wash, $12.00. When I think of the quality of the car wash at the Camps Car Wash in Nashua, the one on Amherst Street, next to Whole Foods, the difference is night and day, with Camps producing a much cleaner car than the Exit 11 Car Wash (for less money than Exit 11 Car Wash). I can't think of any reason to return to Exit 11 Car Wash.

Every time I visit, the entire team greets me with a smile. I really appreciate the car wash service that they provide. They have an upcoming maintenance at the end of August 2026 to add some "top secret" improvements, I can't wait to see! Hopefully they're not closed for too long. Both for my own greediness as well as for the displaced workers without hours until they're back up and running. The only improvement that I could see is if they offered free vacuums to monthly subscribers.

I am not shy about spending money for premium services. I was looking for people who assist in cleaning the auto. Perhaps it requires an appointment but I ended up just getting a very good auto wash - better than the spray only washes in other places. And the token for vacuum helped too. If the car wash offers other premium services, I would recommend they advertise them openly for newcomers to see. I came, got the car washed, used the token to vacuum, and left. Good wash overall.

During the foam brush phase, the soap coming out was dark blue... that was new. I thought it was a summer, deep clean formula. I brushed and washed the car. During the wash, my hands were stained blue. This has not happened before, and I have used the self-wash bay at least ten times with the foam brush. I finished washing the car and noticed blue spots on my shoes and legs, plus blue hands. I tried to clean it off with water and soap, but very little came off. I went over to the attendant, who was swearing at his co-worker. I explained and showed him my blue hands, and he asked what the problem was. I told him this has never happened before. He was dismissive and frankly a jerk. He said the sign in the bay warns that some staining may happen. I showed him the sign. The sign reads that the conditioner nozzle, not the brush, might stain during use. I told him I used the brush wash, not the conditioner. I was told they were the same formula... seriously?! Luckily, the owner was there, but he was also dismissive, and when I told him I was a loyal customer and that this had never happened, I asked for my money back. He was still defensive and incredulous. The attendant complained that I was aggressive, and I told both of them that I was upset at the terrible customer service and at my damn blue hands and legs. No apologies and no recognition that the brush soap ratio was incorrect. This is strong alkaline soap too. I asked for a refund and the owner acted immature about it - again showing my blue hands and asking him if this has happened before (no response). I decided to leave because they both don't care and have a zero customer service attitude. The blue dye can come off with aggressive scrubbing and baking soda. I can't recommend anyone use this car wash, especially if you self-wash.

I took my 12 year old truck there, LOADED with scratches, and for a VERY REASONABLE PRICE, they used Clay bar, then a compound wax was applied with a buffer. Now, 99% of the scratches ARE GONE!!!! Also did the interior and under the hood, all for a mere $340!!!!! They even replaced my fog light bulbs. These guys can do most anything! Before I found Johnny's, I had my wife's SUV done by one of the BIGGEST and supposedly BEST detail shops in the Merrimack Valley. They charged $525 to do her car inside, outside, and under the hood, and I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!! It looks like the guy stood in one place and sprayed the engine bay from there only. When viewed from all other angles, the engine is filthy!!! Not what I expected for $525.00!!!! These men do much more than detailing. Garages wanted over $250.00 JUST FOR THE LABOR to change 6 spark plugs on my Honda. Johnny's did it for less than that. In fact, they did 6 plugs, 6 coils, replaced a bumper bracket, and detailed my interior, all for less than the garage was charging JUST TO DO PLUGS!!! As a bonus, while one man finished the plugs, rather than stand around, the other did spray wax on my whole car!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! And if you need thorough detailing, or mechanical work, YOU WILL, TOO!!! These guys are experts and educated me on cleaning chemicals to use going forward. Very personable, friendly, and generous with their knowledge and expertise. Get your vehicle done here, you will be happy that you did.

There was no signage that the owner had stepped out and would return shortly. That would explain why no one answers the phone. I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up to find out that they were 2 cars behind and that my car would not be detailed until later in the day. He did offer to reschedule me for another day and throw in a free exterior detail. However, that did not outweigh the aggravation of me traveling over an hour to find out that the scheduled appt would not happen until another day. Hopefully there are improvements in communication for future clients.

I mean, as I read through…read morea couple of the previous reviews, I began to wonder...just what more could folks possibly want or expect from a typical full service car wash? Well, let's start with the value. Up until recently, I've been subscribed to Camps Car Wash. Now, whilst there's nothing inherently terrible about that place, the two main things that diverted my attention towards Golden Nozzle were: 1) The fact that all their subscription packages are $10 lower than Camps and 2) FREE vacuums!! I'll be honest....they had me at free vacuums. Seriously, do you realize how rare this is? It's absolutely mind boggling how many car washes still feature coin operated vacuum stations in 2024. I'm sorry. But any place that requires me to carry physical coins around in my pocket or car like it's 1985 is a hard pass for me. This may seem slightly pedantic to some of you old-schoolers out there. But the fact remains....when there's a more efficient way to do things, we should probably embrace that. That's what Golden Nozzle does well. They have essentially modernized themselves in a way that, quite frankly, most other car washes in the area could either improve upon or...just haven't adapted fully yet. With all that being said, there's one minor complaint I have regarding the infrastructure of this location. Now, I'm not certain if their other locations are similar in orientation. But the double lane entrance situation they've got going on is....a bit confusing to newcomers. See, whilst they COULD have labeled each of these entrance points as either "tunnel wash" or "touch free wash", you don't actually figure any of that out until the literal fork-in-the-road point where you have to make a split decision on where to turn. Oh, but they make sure to have plenty of "Go Unlimited for $19.99" signs alongside both lanes. Hence, the confusion. The TL;DR version of this would be: pull into the left lane for the main service. It's worth mentioning that if you're a monthly subscriber like I am, this only applies to the non-touch free wash anyway. So, yeah...left lane is what most patrons will want. Another thing I still don't like is a car wash's proclivity to perch themselves on a one-way street; inexorably requiring folks who'd like to go the other direction to make a hasty U-turn. However, I understand why this strategy is applied (it's to prevent a mini-traffic jam post wash), so...not really a huge lament for me. At least they aren't situated atop a steep hill with a blind curve the way Camps on Amherst street is. Anyways, this will be my go-to car wash until or unless I discover something even better. Starting and canceling membership couldn't be easier either. Both can be done completely online. You just have to be sure to let them scan your digital barcode (not the QR box) on the first visit to acquire your windshield sticker; which goes on the INSIDE of your car (unlike Camps Car Wash). Golden Nozzle Car Wash on Broad street receives 4 sparkling clean cars with freshly vacuumed interiors out of 5.

I would expect that from a touch free cheap car wash but I just paid $17 and I was less than thrilled. Vacuums are good but there are often people using them that are not washing their car so it's tough to use them on a nice day.
