I stopped at a body shop near me a year ago and they gave me a quote I could live with. A year went by and I had other things going on so I went to get some estimates. The guy at the big fancy shop near my street walking distance quoted me "we do it right for $2,000". My jaw dropped. So I humbly went back to Delta Auto Body. The gentleman said "I remember you, you came by last year!" He said he would do it and I was even willing to pay more since the cost of materials and expenses had gone up. I brought my car within a few days and my car was ready THE SAME DAY! He honored the price he gave me a year ago! I couldn't wait to see it! To my amazement it looked like a brand new car again. Since I am planning to keep my car for another ten years I didn't want to have to keep looking at the damage and feeling bad for the next ten years. They did an amazing job and one would never know any body work was done. They pulled out the dent so beautifully I don't even think they needed to paint it. This man is an artisan, a craftsman, working with his hands with eyes on details. I only want to do business with small businesses as I find them more honest, reliable and reasonably priced. absolutely terrible company! operated by criminals that…read moretake pleasure in taking advantage of peoples misfortune. they bully people under laws and rules that they make up themselves on the fly. they towed my car and refused to surrender my vehicle after hours at about 6pm. because it was an inconvenience to them, however they operate 24 hours. however under rhode island general law 39-12-12 (f) after-hours release of vehicles subjected to police-ordered tows: (i) towers are required to release vehicles towed at the direction of a police officer to the owner or lien holder, or their designee, upon demand and upon presentation of the appropriately accrued towing charges, regardless of the type of vehicle towed they refused to let me collect my personal belongings from my vehicle that i need for work. i made the request the owner and staff yelled at me as well as insulted me calling me a "dum", they then proceeded to call the police on me to have me removed from the property. i did not once raise my voice or reciprocate their terrible enegry. under rhode island general law 39-12-12 (b) whenever a vehicle that contains personal items is towed by a certificated towing company, said towing company shall release those personal items to the owner of the vehicle, or to the individual in control of the vehicle, immediately upon request, regardless of whether the towing charges have been paid. r.i.gen. laws §39-12.1-6 they told me they only accept cash and have unjustly charged me accrual fees under rhode island general law 39-12-12 section d. additional conditions / requirements: 1. acceptable forms of payment for towing services: (a) the tower shall accept cash as payment for towing and storage services as well as at least one other form of payment, such as credit cards/debit cards, or personal check. for this purpose, the division considers money orders, travelers checks and certified bank checks to be the equivalent of "cash" and, thus, does not consider acceptance of money orders, travelers checks and certified bank checks to satisfy the requirement for accepting a "second" form of payment in addition to "cash." moreover, if the tower chooses to accept credit cards/debit cards as a form of payment, the tower shall ensure that a vehicle owner is able to complete such a transaction regardless of the ultimate delivery site of the vehicle. these bullies need to be stopped. i gave you multiple opportunities to accept my payment and you refused. i have had several officers reach out to you from both the johnston police department and smithfield police department to inform ylu that you are breaking the law you have one last chance to abide by the laws and rules set by the state of rhode island and public utilities commission and settle with me and i will only make sure your certification is suspended so you have time to focus on making the appropriate changes in the way you conduct business so that you are not breaking the law. if you refuse, i will ensure that your ratings reflect the quality of service you have provided, i will ensure your certification is revoked and i will not only sue you in civil court but i will pursue a class action suit on you. you will not be a bully in my city
