    Vegetable wrap with roast potatoes
    Cynthia F.

Vegetable wrap is delicious; so are the roast potatoes. I love the pesto sauce and balsamic glaze in the wrap. I'll definitely order this again. I miss the date/ walnut spread and humus they used to offer as a vegetarian spread trio. I hope they bring that dish back! We heard Karen Payne sing last night and she has such a lovely voice. Great live music; excellent servers ( we had Kara this time) and great food. Always have a fun time at pattenburgh house.

Notice the Truffle Burger. Ordered a $18 burger and it did not come as ordered...

Truffle Burger: (Temp: Medium) What's included? Brioche bun, Gouda cheese, caramelized onions, and truffle aoli. Reality?: obviously from the photo there is no Brioche. I asked about it and the waitress told me the chef said he didn't think the customers would notice. What you don't see is a well done burger (I asked for Medium), and no Truffle aoli .. how is it Truffle Burger on a brioche without the brioche and truffle aoli?? New burger: caramelized onion burger on a Walmart bun. Price? $18.00 No thanks.

    Burnt, dried out chicken sandwich.

We really wanted to have a great meal here, we used to love the old place. We stopped in for lunch and had chicken sandwiches that were very good. They were golden brown and quality chicken. We went for dinner and were surprised that the menu was very limited. There were a couple beef dishes, burgers, salads and the chicken sandwich. We didn't want beef, so we ordered the chicken sandwiches and they were very bad. They had very little juice they were overbooked, burnt. Hard alcohol drinks are expensive, well brands, $12.00 each. The beer was good and those prices were very reasonable $5.00 to $7.00. We probably won't go back.

For the appetizer we ordered the Wings (Bourbon and Buffalo) which were good. Got a Blue Moon to wash it down with. Then for the entree I got the Amish Chicken which came with potatoes and Napa Cabbage on the side. The next day I was hurting because I got Montezuma's Revenge. Since I did not eat anything else all day, I can only suspect that it came from either a dirty beer line, or the food. Now I know why ONLY BURGERS were coming out of the kitchen. I rarely give a bad review. However, because I was sick for a few days, I just had to. I hope the Manager / Owner looks into this so nobody else gets sick.

The Pattenburg House is a restaurant and bar that serves decent style bar meals such as Appetizers such as Fried Green Beans, Hand Cut Fries, wings, Funnel Cake Fries, Quesadillas, Burgers,Salads Cheesesteaks, Sandwiches, and Steaks. My favorite two sandwiches are the Chicken Salad with cran raisins and almonds. My other favorite sandwich is the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I've eaten their burgers and sweet potato fries which I throughly enjoyed. The crispy fried green beans is definitely worth trying. Pattenburg House has a Late Night menu Monday-Saturday 10p and Sunday's 9p. They have a good assortment of beers on tap, some craft that change weekly. Happy Hour- is Monday-Thursday 3-7p and Friday's 3-6p. The staff is extremely friendly, especially the ladies who are bartending. I got the feeling that they love working here, and it shows. A good number of the Pattenburg's clientele all know each other and it seems like one big happy family. People come from everywhere to listen to live bands. The Pattenburg has live bands every weekend and on Sunday afternoon. One of the new owners Joe P is a musician himself and does a wonderful job getting really good bands to play here, and they have a wonderful sound system. His wife Marti does a great job making sure the kitchen runs smoothly This establishment is an institution. It originally was a tavern and an inn dating back to 1872. This place is very low keyed and laid back. They have an outdoor patio with seating. The Pattenburg House has some parking. They gave bar seating and all around are tables and a pool table. I am so glad my friend brought me here. It's my new favorite place when I'm in the area.

Sunday 2pm Review. A nice fall afternoon listening to great live music and eating an amazing pork roll sandwich with what would be called double meat anywhere else and drinking dirty martinis and Bloody Marys. Food and service both amazing. Go here. Great choices and the truffled Mac n' cheese bites were good and spicy! Two pattenburgers and an omelette later, we will be back.

First, the restaurant is so cute. It's like you're transported to a teahouse! The staff are really friendly, and they let you know immediately that everything is farm to table. The eggs were a deep yellow so I knew it was the truth. If you go, definitely order the biscuits and the mimosa flight. The biscuits comes with 4 different spreads (fig jam, peach butter, strawberry butter, and a brown sugar butter). The biscuits were a good size, and my favorite spread was the fig jam. I wish I could have put some in a jar. The mimosa flight flavors are so fun. I was not a fan of the soursop but the lychee and passionfruit are really good. For the main dish, we tried the chicken & waffle and the tres leches French toast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was crispy. The French toast was actually on a croissant. The rest of the table got omelettes and enjoyed them too. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

The upstairs area has a chill vibe with some Mario-themed art as well as a TV. It seems that the kitchen is upstairs, so a lot of waiters were flying by out table to the staircase. Our waiter was pretty chill. Apparently an O's fan, he was excited to learn we're from Baltimore. Food was all fantastic. The style of fries isn't my preference, but they were decent. Other than that, I was blown away. Child #1 and Child #2 got some items from the Kids' menu - grilled cheese and cheeseburger. Bread and Butter appetizer. Is it expensive for just being bread and butter? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. The homemade bread is great, but combine it with honey butter with flaky salt, and it's incredible. Loads of reviews on Yelp talked about the sausage roll. GET IT. It's greasy and filling in all the right ways. Goes great with a beer. My wife got the burger and she found it to be very tasty. I got the Grilled Maitake Mushrooms dish and holy cow; it's perfect. Even if you're not a vegetarian (I'm not), you can appreciate this dish: crispy rice cake (not the dry kind from the store), tender baby bok choy, and of course the well-cooked mushrooms are tied together with black vinegar, garlic-whipped tofu (!), and a peanut sauce. A++ would absolutely get again. The food menu has some staples, but overall it does change nightly, so make sure you check it out before you come. Apparently, on Sundays, they do a different experimental flavor of wings. I was curious, but my stomach has only so much room, so I had to draw the line. There is a respectable drink menu. My wife got the blood orange mezcalita, which she liked, but thought the smoke flavor was more subtle than described. I got the Plum Fizz and would totally get it again. Pleasantly-sour with a nice fizz. It's a nice pub in a nice neighborhood of a major city - be prepared for prices to match. But it is absolutely worth it.

For food, we started off with the margherita pizza to share. Then, I opted for the crispy, buttermilk chicken sandwich with malt vinegar, potato wedges/fries. It was very delicious. The sandwich was crispy and fresh and the bun looked like it was handcrafted. The malt fries were unique because they had a vinegar powder on them. I've never tasted malt vinegar before, and it was a unique texture. Our waitress was very friendly, but I wish she had been a bit more attentive.
