Great meal. Lots of crunchy and delicious tater tots.

Spectacular in every aspect on every level. The server was exceptionally nice and the service was quick. We got the poutine as an appetizer and it was great.Tender meat, great gravy, lots of cheese curds and fries they somehow keep crispy. Just be ready - it is huge. Could definitely be a large meal unto itself. The burger was cooked correctly and was very juicy and flavorful. The tater tots were very crunchy and well salted. Tons of them too. Finished it off with the buffalo chicken mac and cheese which was both temperature hot and spicy hot. Took home enough for the two of us to have a hearty meal. Can't wait to go back and try more.

My husband and I have been to Tavern 519 about five times now. We go there for the short rib black and blue burger, which is absolutely out of this world. We went for my husband's birthday. He ordered the pork chop and said it was the best he's ever had in his life. He's had it twice now. This is how much we love this Hidden gem. I had filet mignon, which was also absolutely outstanding. This is worth traveling an hour to get to which we do a couple of times a month. I can't recommend it more highly. Since writing this review, my husband and I have been back to Tavern 519 three times. We' both had the burgers again and they were outstanding again. On one occasion, my husband ordered the pork chop which he said was the best he's ever had in his life! I ordered the filet mignon which came withbroccoli rabe. It was outstanding.! as always, the service was great. We've been going at least once a month.

Nice spot! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Tried the prime rib poutine for appetizer and it was sooooo good! Got the regular burger but added caramelized onion cooked medium well with tots. Super juicy and thick. The tots were sooo crispy and delicious. (Forgot to take a pic) Would try the steak options next time.

I've been here several times. The food is always fresh and delicious. If you're not with a large party I highly recommend coming here, otherwise skip it. The service is always good and friendly. With that being said, my bf's company has had two Christmas parties here over the past several years. We are always a party of at least 10 people. I don't recommend big parties here, we found out the hard way they will kick you out after exactly 2 hrs whether you're finished or not. The first time we were all here I got up to use the bathroom. I came back a few minutes later and my dinner was taken away, the table cleaned along with my new drink I just got. I was in total shock and asked my bf where's my food and my new drink. He said they took everything away our 2 hrs was up. I chalked it up and went to the bar where everyone was standing and got another drink. This time, again it was another Christmas party. After dinner my bf's boss asked for a dessert menu, and he was told by our server sorry your two hours are up you can't have dessert. Everyone looked dumbfounded and abruptly got up and left and we all went somewhere else to have drinks and dessert. I know this place isn't real big but if they would book the parties differently say like 5-8, and then the next party 8-11 or reserve some of the other tables to accommodate both parties everyone would not feel rushed. It took over 1/2 hour for our appetizers to arrive, and then another 40 mins for our food. It's really not a lot of time for a large group. The other thing that bothered me was when we were walking out there was another group waiting and the woman pulled my friend and I over and said "oh you're the group just leaving?" and we said yes. She said,"well they just sent me a text," and she showed us the text. It read, we just kicked out the other group. Needless to say we were all shocked. This is no way to do business. I was told the Christmas Parties will be at a different restaurant from now on. Aside from that our food was delicious, and our servers were very nice. I will come here again but the next time it won't be with a group. Food- 5 Stars Service- 4 Stars Atmosphere- 3 Stars Group getting kicked out 1 Star

It was great we got a seat at the bar at 6:30 on a Friday night. Sat down got drinks in the first 10 minutes. Staff was busy but accommodating. Told the server we had a show to go to and had to be out the door at 7:45 when we ordered food at 6:45. Bartender did say "good luck with that." Everything we got was delicious BUT... it came out around 7:35 (50 minutes later.) we had literally 10 minutes to split a Caesar salad & a $80 20 oz ribeye. Had to rush thru dinner & never had time to enjoy our meal. I would go back but I didn't know it takes 50 minutes to prepare my meal. Saw friends come in, sit at a table, get served & leave while we waited for our meal.

Pork chop with sweet potato and brussel sprouts, theres a lot of food hiding under this huge pork chop!

Wow. First time here. Wont be the last. Sorry locals but somebody needs to spread the word. This is awesome high end food served in the most low key out of the way place. We had poutine to start, awesome and a huge portion. Then it was the pork chop with sweet potato hash. Best softest pork chop you will ever have. My wife got the pork belly pasta. Another wow! Just awesome tasting and another huge portion. The maple old fashioned was awesome and really strong. They dont cut corners here. Best to make reservations as it gets filled up fast. Our waitress was awesome too. We cant wait to go back and visit.here are my pics from dinner

The Cons: The service was horrific. If we hadn't already purchased tickets (no refunds...) We would have been long gone from there. The owner is totally missing the boat here. Granted the place is in the middle of nowhere but it's got SO much potential. We went for a music event (outside - Artie's "Summer Stage"). While we waited at the inside bar for the event to start (45 minutes late) we tried to get drinks, but couldn't get a drink to save our lives. The place was half empty, and there were two bartenders but they completely ignored us. Like puposely and specifically didn't make eye contact. We waited at the bar for 10-15 minutes without a drink while the bartenders chatted with (I'm asumming) the local regulars, cleaned and checked their phones. Crazy. Once outside the seating (iron tables and chairs) were pretty rusty and really hard. The outside was generally a little rundown, though the stage and the sound system were newer and nice. The outside bartender was more attentive, but the servcie was still bad. BAD bad. Only one bartender at the outside bar was simply not enough. And she had to keep going inside to get supplies, drinks, etc. So if you ordered a wine (my wife...) the bartender would dissapear inside for like five minutes, then come back with a glass of wine. There was a single waitress outside for about 20 tables - drinks and food - also not enough. We easily would have had 2x the drinks and food we had if the service was better. Also we got the same round of drinks each time, but were charged different amounts each round. Random amounts. Not sure I would go back unless it was an event i REALLY wanted to see. I would definitely eat first and not plan on drinking, The experience was was frustrating. Such a shame, this really could be an awesome place.

I was very impressed by the way we were greeted by Noelle at the door. A little bit of history of the renovated barn turned into a cozy, well-appointed Stockton area BYOB, some smiling chat and then we were off to our table to what we were looking forward to since we made our reservation. I love the idea of the prix fixe menu with a well-rounded selection (fish, seafood, meat, and vegan choices, etc.) Apps The potato soup had a nice smooth consistency, full pieces of lobster meat, a touch of truffle. 4 stars The tuna tartare was fresh but seriously underwhelming. Not much flavor nor pizazz there. I wish I got something else. 2 stars Entrees The seafood ramen noodle thingy, explained to us that it was a newer item in the menu and very popular was the highlight of my evening. The stock is everything in ramen dishes and this was no exception. Excellent lobster stock and perfectly prepared shrimp, cooked to a snap when bitten into. The marinated egg was very different and very good. It had a nice strong tingling taste. 5 stars The braised short rib was tender but dry. However, when mixed with the au jus and pureed carrots on the plate, it livened and juiced the meat up. The roasted broccolini was inedible. Totally undercooked, chewy and a waste of a fine veg. 3 stars Dessert The peach and biscuit napolean presented itself fantastically, was looking forward to the first bite out of this jar of delight and then fell flat. The peaches were hard and tasted like unripen fruit. The honey and syrup and the sweetness of the whipped cream was all one can taste. Very disappointed and a waste of calories. 2 stars Service Hostess 5 stars, wait people 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars, or perfect, if we didn't have to wait 25 minutes for our dessert which was ordered pre-dinner. It's not like it had to be baked fresh, I didn't think. Maybe they had to whip up and bake the biscuits. And also, this was the type of place where you have to chase down your server to get your check and then once again chase them down to take your card. Now, would I go back? If I was in the area, maybe. Some of the other apps and entrees I saw being served looked very interesting. But that was the main problem I had here. Presentation was creative and art-like but some dishes ended up not living up to the vision.

I grew up down the road in Milford, and our go-to restaurant in Frenchtown was always Napoli by the park, but I'm pretty sure we ended up here once or twice. Honestly? Wasn't the best on our most recent visit, and the sky-high reviews might be the result of an inflated tourist bump. I came here yesterday for lunch with one of my OG chums around 1:30, 2pmish. Despite it being a pretty meh weather day, the town was packed and loud, likely at least partially because Bastille Day was the next day (aka today as I'm writing this) - lot of French flags and perhaps a few more tourists than usual. Frenchtown is always pretty touristy on a summer Saturday though, to be fair. We chose Frenchtown Cafe because Piazzi next door was closed; and for me at least, it was nice to get some indoor seating away from the humidity and the high-decibel concert across the street. My first impressions, which were substantiated throughout our meal, was that there were a few too many tables packed into the restaurant, which I always consider a shameless money grab, especially if it's coming at the expense of the comfort of your customers. If it wasn't NYC-level/bumping up against your neighbor, it was close. And any time you happened to stand up, you had to be very careful/cognizant of your surroundings because more than likely, an employee or other customer was right behind you. In hindsight, would have advocated for the outdoor seating. I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich/melt, so I went with a plain hamburger and fries. Eh. The burger was clearly pre-made/frozen meat, and it was SUPER greasy. My chum got a melt, which was also dripping with grease. Hard to find selling points in your entrees when your paws are covered in a substance that's going to literally congeal into lard at some point if you don't clean them. Hard to pivot, but beyond that, the burger was at least cooked to my specifications (medium rare). The fries were by far the biggest selling point - perfectly crispy, just the way I like it. The service was just okay. Our waitress seemed very nice but wasn't the most attentive and beyond getting the check, never checked in to see how the food was. It WAS busy in there, but the waits for everything were a bit longer than they should have been. I doubt I'll be back any time soon, though I recall a lot of people coming here more for breakfast - that's probably the play if you're set on frequenting what was for us a mediocre establishment.
