Patterson manages to take the service out of service. I have a 2024 TRX Final edition. This is my third Dodge Ram truck. I've taken this one to Patterson twice for service. The first service took forever just for a scheduled oil change. The oil change took 15 minutes. It it took over an hour to get my car back even though I had a scheduled appointment and showed up on time. I scheduled another appointment last week for today. This time I scheduled it for 7:30 a.m. to avoid the service department getting backed up. After an hour and a half they had still not pulled my car in for this second oil change. I finally asked the service advisor who had not updated me at all and I was told it would be a while before they could even get my truck pulled in because they were backed up. I own two businesses myself. If we run behind we notify our customers in advance. It's not a mystery that suddenly arises. Then we keep them informed. This time I finally left and will not return. I would much rather drive farther to a better dealership. read more

They let you make an appointment, but that doesn't mean anything. If I make an appointment with any other business, that time slot is for me. Not here, it just means they put you in line and it's really first come first serve. No issues with that if I knew that up front, but that is not the case. They kept my car for a week and never touched it. I had to pay for a rental -- no loaner cars. This is TERRIBLE customer service. Be transparent. Bought a car Saturday asked for the Car Fax and they dealership said they used another company to review wrecks and records on the car. Even though Car FAX is on their website. My husband found a couple dings on the truck. Ran the Car Fax and it had two accidents. The dealership stated the truck was not in any accidents. Mr. Patterson please call me because this dealership did not inform us of the truth regarding the truck. I asked for the Car Fax and they avoided and made us think the company they used was better. YOUR FACTORY WARRANTY WILL NOT BE HONORED AT THIS DEALERSHIP. DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM PATTERSON CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN TYLER TEXAS. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO TYLER TEXAS? I've had my 2020 wrangler corrosion repaired a year ago in Florida at the dealership where we bought it. The hood and door hinges. Chrysler paid for it all. Well the corrosion is back and we now live in Texas. Called the local dealership and they said they will not fix it because it was originally fixed in Florida by the dealership we bought it from and for us to go back there. They won't touch it and don't have to. We still have original manufacture paint and corrosion warranty on this jeep. Called Chrysler care and the acted like they would and could do something. They said for me to tell the dealership to open a "warranty repair assistant request". Ok the dealership told me to bring the jeep in and they would take pictures and have an estimate to give to Chrysler care. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I call the dealership and the service manager is never available and won't call me back. So I call Chrysler care and let them know what's going on. I explain what's going on and she says they can "escalate" the process and tells me to call the dealership and let them know. I tell her I can't get the service manager to talk to me can she call. She did. They both get in the line and the service manager, Benny Gonzales, starts to tell me he's not going fix it to take it back to Florida to the dealership that did it the first time. Mind you he knows I live in Texas and can't just drive 1500 miles to drop off my jeep. He insists he doesn't have to fix it even though it's still under warranty because it wasn't done right the first time and he doesn't have to. Get this the Chrysler care rep agreed with him and says he doesn't have to fix it. So I have a paint and corrosion warranty still on this jeep and I'm told they won't fix it. Anybody have any idea what I can do about this? Both dealerships are Chrysler dealerships and the one in Texas that won't do it is the only dealership in 150 miles with a body shop. The dealership in Florida said they would fix it but I'm 1500 miles away. Any assistance anybody can give me would be appreciated. This is our 5th wrangler. So disgusted with Chrysler now I'll never get another one but I can't even get a decent trade in with corrosion. read more

These people are nuts My tires I still had receipt from discount tire with warranty and they tried to lowball me and tell me I needed new tires and I smoked in my car. The only time a cigarette was near my car was when I sit outside my door with it open because I'm disabled and can't walk. My car is in pristine condition and guarantee you no 2015 model anything they have is as clean and well maintained as mine is. $5,000 over kbb woulda been $14,000 for my car and y'all told me 5,000 for my car I paid $16,000 cash for 1 1/2 years prior. I told the women Sue and her partner I did not to want to bring it in until all the parts were in the shop and ready for repair. I flew out from another part of Texas cost of flight $460.00 to purchase a used 2012 F-250 based on the salesman's word & photo's. When I arrived a few days after we had agreed on pricing the truck was not even ready to test drive? I was told tires were in great shape ya no, 1/2 tread and old! It gets better, The salesman told me the stereo was aftermarket really expensive too! It probably was 5 yrs ago and no one could even get the stereo to work?? Nice. So we get back from the test drive and as I was looking under the truck and noticed an active oil leak from the front of the engine and that was it for me!! Oh I was going to drive the truck 13hrs back home probably would have been stranded on the way home! Advice go somewhere else to buy a car or get one serviced!! read more

Bought my car from Patterson used car. Purchased a Platinum Warranty at that time. I have used Patterson Service the whole time. The service over the last 1.5 year has progressively become worse. Now that the oil changes have stopped being covered, I'll be moving my warranty to a new service provider. Especially since I found damage that was done while having service done on 04/03/21. Ask for driver door window be checked and repaired from extreme squealing. Still sqealing ! Every time they rotate the tires I have recalibrate 2x. At least I know they do that. No trust or faith in this service department. Very disappointed, I won't be buying another car from them either. read more

Every time I have to turn in my car, it's a two week process. The first week, the car sits, then takes another week just to get worked on. And don't even try and combine two things like a recall for a fuel filter AND a recall for paint chipping. Now you're looking at a month cuz although they say they will work both problems at the same time, they don't. I swear it's just lip service. Did I mention that they tried to charge me for the warranty recall I had my car in for? For every two to three text messages for an update expect 1 generic & vague message back. 100% painful and ridiculous. read more

Try to call to ask and first the advisor was out of his desk, left a message and he didn't call back. Tried one more time gone again until he answered and transferred me to another number that was busy. When an attendant finally took my call she ask me to hold on phone while she check the car. Phone was transferred again and another guy answered and I had to explain all over again!!!! This guy at least send me to the supervise and he looked my file, went to check the car that was ready!!! i took my van to my mechanic who said it had an auto shutdown code. he said only the dealership could fix it. I towed to Patterson Dodge in Tyler Texas and told Cole what my mechanic said. Afree they ran a diagnosis, i was told it was the pump and was assured it had no auto shutoff code, there was both wrong with computer, electrical or the relay switch. i specifically told Cole I did not want to replace the fuel pump because my mechanic said there was nothing wrong with the pump. Cole insisted it was the pump and there was both else wrong with it. He lied. After they replaced the fuel pump to the tune of at least $600 (dealership way over charged and should have their licensed pulled), it didn't fix the problem despite the fact they insisted that was the problem and lied about the auto shutoff code. I'm going to have to pursue DTPA claims against them. I would not buy any vehicle from them or take your vehicle in for repairs, especially if your disabled and/or a woman. They will lie, deceive and trick you, completely ripe you off. These people are unscrupulous, liars, bait and switch and intentional provide false information and trick you into fixing something that isn't wrong with your vehicle so they can run up the bill. I'm sure they'll put a lien on your vehicle it you dispute charges or what they claimed was wrong. their liars. Don't trust them read more

Took my vehicle in for a recall that was needing to be fixed. It was something about an airbag. I walked the lot while I waited and was pleased that I wasn't rushed by salesmen. I don't appreciate the hard sell and it took about 15 minutes of me wandering around the lot for someone to come out and approach me even. Having worked at a CJD dealership before it was a night and day difference. My service advisor was great and she even waited past closing time to make sure I got my car back to me. read more

We recently moved here from central Texas where we did business with a stellar dealer for over 25 years. We were always met at the door by cheerful sales people and treated royally. Thinking we should establish ourselves with another dealership and in the market for a new vehicle, my husband asked around and our contractor recommended Patterson's. My husband stopped by about 40 minutes before closing to see what was available and came home saying he guessed they had sold enough to retire because the guy he spoke with didn't seem to care a great deal about making a sale. So, initially they were general car salesman. Prompt and eager to get you in a new car. I decided to sleep on it before submitting a credit application. The sales representative boasted how they process sales remotely all the time. Simply complete a credit application online and then only come in to grab your new car. Two days later I went ahead and submitted a credit application online. Well, I apparently made a mistake and submitted a credit application to their Patterson in Kilgore and they are not digitally connected. At this point, the customer service was gone and I should have walked away. A couple days later after no word from Patterson in Tyler, I resubmitted a credit app. Roughly 4 business days after submitting it I called the dealership as I heard nothing after submitting another credit application & I did notify the salesman I'd submitted another application. They had no information on me or my credit application and said they would call me back in 15 minutes. Well my salesman texts me to say I was approved, but the $54,000 (2019) Jeep Rubicon I wanted was gone. They had another, but it was $57,000. I was ok with this, but simply asked for the window sticker so I'd know what I was looking at buying. He said his printer was broken and asked what features I wanted to ensure it had. Then silence for another business week- then a random picture of the window sticker. Bottom line, I may be an oddity & I know dealerships are built for quantity not quality, but I literally bent over backwards to give my business. There were additional nuisances in addition to what I've listed, but you get the point. I tried my darnedest to spend $57k here, but either sales are really good or they're short staffed. It shouldn't be this difficult especially as I'm already approved- the salesman only needed to close the deal and get me in a new car. read more

We took our Jeep in because there was no heat? James was our service advisor.... We got a call back from James and it was going to be $3100 for the heat exchanger and it would not be covered by warranty due to contamination in the radiator. I explained this could not be it because the heat exchanger was just fixed less than 6 months ago. When we went to pick up the Jeep, I asked James to show me the contamination, he opened the radiator cap and said see right there, I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING??? I took it to another shop for a second opinion. Upon inspection at the other shop, they could feel the heat exchanger was working. The problem turned out to be a blend door was not opening......... I called David (Srv Mgr.) and explained I don't want to call your mechanic and James liars but....... I explained everything to him and showed him the $245 invoice from the other shop. Our Jeep was all fixed and ready to go. I had the radiator flushed just in case there was contamination. The shop I used said it was completed but NOT NEEDED (Sounds like James is an idiot) I did get a full refund for the charge to look at the Jeep from Patterson but was not reimbursed for the unneeded flush. Please ask yourself before you go there. Why put up with someone who doesn't know what they are doing(James / Mechanic) The service manager did say he spoke with the mechanic but really people, $3100 mistake......... Even if they would have done the work, the heater would have still not worked. Save yourself the pain of dealing with dishonesty. Go somewhere else!!! read more

I will never recommend anyone take their car for service at Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Tyler, Texas due to the completely egregious and disrespectful way I was treated by one of Patterson's Service Reps. When picking up my car after it was repaired, I noticed the warranty was not applied to the cost. The cashier was very professional and went to get the service rep so appropriate costs could be applied. The service rep was VERY rude, and EXTREMELY disrespectful in telling me he informed me the repair was not covered by my warranty. He never informed me of any such thing. I won't go into more detail, but suffice it to say, that not only was his conduct unwarranted and unprofessional, he was 100% wrong as the repair was indeed covered by my warranty. Worst experience ever. They gave OTD price and then upped it $800 when time to sign papers. We walked. They called us to 'make it right' promises to fill the tank, and have a Yukon loaner while they fixed some interior issues following Monday. Didn't fill tank until asking 3 times, gave us a tiny loaner car that smelt like cat and vomit-had to drive with windows down gagging. When they called because it was finished, it wasn't, and I wasn't getting back in smelly car, they offered no help or a different car when I asked for both, so I had to call for a friend to come pick me up. My husband took our recently acquired 2012 Jeep Wrangler in for an oil change and multi point inspection. When he got back in the Jeep the check engine light was on. When he inquired as to why it was on now, but not when he brought it in, he was told that multiple cylinders had a misfire. This included cylinder 7. Mind you, this is a V6 Jeep. when he continued to question the tech, since obviously the tech is not a mechanic, he was told to take the Jeep back to Tyler Ford for repairs. Funny thing is, we didn't purchase the Jeep from Tyler Ford. The service department here is a JOKE! I am taking the Jeep to my mechanic to run the codes and correct the issue that Patterson caused.
