Been visiting here for years for all of the service on my vehicle which has been smooth and I've never felt like I was being upsold on services. Until I purchased another vehicle which had a handful of problems right out of the gate and they refused to cover the cost of repairs. I preformed the repairs myself and have since learned a lot about these vehicles, because of this I'll most likely start doing my own maintenance and repairs instead of visiting BMW Tyler. Because they wouldn't stand behind a sale they've lost a lot of labor revenue for years to come on my vehicles. Avoid BMW of Tyler -- Repeated Failures and Poor Service I've had a series of bad experiences with BMW of Tyler, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Here's a breakdown: First Visit (New Vehicle): They didn't even bother to reset the oil service light. Second Visit: Same issue -- oil light still not reset. Third Visit: Bought new tires and had an alignment done. Fourth Visit (3 months later): Front tires were completely bald on the inside -- exactly evenly. I was told this was "rare" and that I must've hit a pothole in the same spot on both tires. I later spoke to three independent mechanics who all said that explanation was nonsense -- the camber was likely set incorrectly during alignment. I ended up buying two new tires and had a brake job done. I was told the rotors were fine. But the brakes kept squealing. Took it back -- was told "BMW brakes just squeal sometimes." Fast forward 5,000 miles: Took it to Christian Brothers for an oil change and rotation. They immediately noticed the brakes were bad -- rotors were shot. They showed me the damage. Since they replaced everything, no more squealing. BMW of Tyler cost me extra money, time, and frustration due to poor workmanship and weak excuses. Stay away. read more

Usually don't do this but today I am.. I purchased my BMW in McKinney Tx and was offered TOP TIER service. Shame on me for thinking I'd receive the same service from this dealership, being it's a BMW dealership. I had my car towed over to this dealership due to a flat that i had, and the customer service that i received was TERRIBLE. Melissa, was rude and had a attitude from the moment i missed her text and call (i work in surgery so DUH i could not answer) -- she showed no grace and was pretty black and white. Following up to today when i did go and pick up my car, another salesman's had to assist me because "everyone came in her office at once" and although he was nice, Melissa NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED ME, even when her office was empty. She honestly acted like she did not care. Sure, "everyone came at once" but EVERYONE ALSO HAS A JOB TO DO, and excuses are like assholes, EVERYONE HAS ONE. Being that she is a customer service representative for BMW Tyler, i would've thought, once she got situated she'd acknowledge me, but that would've showed too much class, so i guess that's what i get for thinking. When I arrived they came out and greeted me. Dylan Ricks was very helpful, friendly, and funny. He took his time and looked for exactly what I wanted. As soon as they got one on the lot with everything I was looking for, he contacted me and made a fair sell! All sales associates were smiling and friendly without being pushy! This is huge to me. So, I purchased a 2016 M5. Not a cheap car. It was certified pre-owned, and under warranty. A few hundred miles after driving off the lot, literally 5 days later, and it's backfiring, the drive train malfunction warning comes on, car goes into 'limp mode' on the highway. I take it in and it needs new spark plugs. Seems like a decent dealer would in good faith take care of that. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have passed certification had they know the spark plug was bad. Bob Murray (sales manager) says it's not their problem. Won't do a thing about it. So, yeah. I'm out 800 bucks not a week after purchasing and no service from them at all. Buyer beware. I could have gotten a vehicle for 3k off a used lot that would have tried to keep a customer and acted in good faith. read more

I've had the car for several weeks now, and they have been over the top on service (I upgraded exhaust and had windows tinted). Best car buying service experience I've ever had. Let me start by saying we have always been "Ford People", well after an awful experience with the Ford dealer in town I told my husband I was never taking my car back to that dealer for anything. We decided to go with a BMW because we had heard service was great. Great service is an understatement. Anytime I need something done on my car or even the oil changed they give me a loaner car so that I do not have to wait or worry about getting around. Everyone in the service department is over the top nice and makes you feel like you are their only customer. Ill pay a little more for a car to have GREAT service when I need it. read more
