We use Patterson several years ago and bought new system. During this transaction they ruined the carpet and due to them saying carpet was old they didn't want to do anything. I told them no problem, I even cleaned up all the mess. We have since moved after buying a new home and needing heating and air yearly maintenance we definitely did not consider calling Patterson. read more

On 07/05/2024, I called at 6:17 pm. and requested service b/c a/c running but blowing out hot air. Rcvd call at 6:29 pm from John advising it'll be tomorrow. John came the next day. I was advised my unit was " fried. " I was unable to pay $89 svc fee but would be billed when the office opened on Monday. I rcvd the bill today for $99; instead. along w/ his notes. Per John , the breaker in the garage would not reset and the disconnect as melting. Omh'd the compressor and found it has been damaged as well. Recommended the system be replaced. Greg Plunkett (sales assoc) is going to reach out to the customer. Their sales team responded quicker than their service team to send a tech out. I used a different tech w/ another company, who was able to come out on Sunday, July 07, 2024, and was advised that there is nothing wrong with my compressor; it's in good condition. The tech was able to get my system back online. He added freon and changed the wires and capacitor. My unit is running just fine. John was very informative about the new standards on the current trends but other than this he didn't provide much service. Please get a second opinion. Buyer beware. read more

Patterson did an amazing job. We called at 5pm on a Thursday when our AC was not keeping up cooling our house. The lady I spoke too took my info and let me know a tech would call when he could schedule us. A few minutes later the tech called, he was on his way. He showed up exactly when he said he would, was very professional, diagnosed and repaired the issue for us. And I do believe the price was very fair. I would recommend these guys to anyone. (And I am not typically someone who would write reviews) but I do think they did a great job and we appreciate it. read more

Buyer BEWARE!!! they were supposed to be here at 8:00 this morning ....for the 5th time....to repair Mitsubishi split system. I finally called at 9:00 and spoke to donna. Her reply was "we have a lot going on here". I then called Dodson, the owner, and explained the situation. He checked on the problem, called me back and said someone would be here in 15-20 minutes. Another non-food review....weird. One thing you learn early about owning a home is that your HVAC unit needs to be cared for like an egg or else it can get very costly. In our condo, we had used a few different HVAC services, and some missed some obvious stuff, while others didn't show up on time. We had two recent occasions where we needed an appointment fast an on a specific date.(pre-babies being born and moving) JL Patterson made sure they got to us on the date and time needed. Their technicians were great, extremely friendly and did not mind climbing around the roof of the Met. We may be moving to a house soon, but we will still be using JL Patterson for those HVACs. read more

I can't say enough good things about Patterson. They have been doing our heating and air-conditioning maintenance since 2017 and they replace the air conditioner this past June. We had an awful experience with the home warranty company when our furnace went out. I called Paterson today and they fixed everything with very little effort. They told me the company who installed the furnace originally probably shouldn't be working. I would agree with them. Patterson is awesome and I highly recommend them! read more

After doing my research, I selected Patterson for it's reputation, experience, and York brand. They offered the best brand available for a gas pack unit. Our old unit needed work and after a couple of quote from others we decided to go with Patterson. So glad we did. In early May Jason came and serviced both of my units. Diagnosed TXV valve on one of my units causing lack of cooling. Charged 330.00 for 2 hours plus. Gave me written proposal for TXV replacement at 930.00 and a capacitor at 180.00. Justified charges by saying it would take two technicians 3 hours to do the work. Unit worked sort of so it was not urgent. Still the fact that it took multiple calls and four weeks to return seems like they didn't value my business. Two techs arrived at 1:35 today brought in an invoice for 1,180.00 at 2:30 and informed me that they charge flat rate and not hourly. If it is always flat rate then they should never try to justify costs by labor time. They should just say its a flat rate charge. The fact that their dispatcher consistently used labor time as a justification for why it took so long to return to do the repair only reinforces my feeling of being overcharged. They have a knowledgeable staff and other than this experience had been happy with their service and felt like I had been treated fairly. Patterson installed these units in 2007. read more

I made calls to several different companies to have my AC unit repaired. Patterson was the first available so I went with them. The service person that came out was pleasant. He explained the repairs needed. I did express concerns about fixing the unit because it was so old. Although I had my own concerns about the the repairs, I feel I was being pressured into purchasing a new unit rather than having the old one repaired. After consideration and consultation with a different company I decided to go with the repairs rather than replacement. When I called the next day I was quoted a price $60 lower than the actual bill. However when I questioned this I was told that they had it written down what they had told me and the quote was the same as the invoice. I had also written down what I was told and it was not the same. I paid the invoice because I felt I had no choice, but ultimately experience left me with a never bad impression. I will not be using this company again and would not recommend them to others read more

Worst customer service experience! I was set up for a diagnostic service call, since the call was so late in the day I called another provider who was able to come to my house sooner. I called to cancel the appointment with Patterson, however, the sent a technician anyway. I told him the appointment was cancelled and he left. A week later a get a bill saying that I "did not call and confirm cancellation". I believe they were upset that they saw a more reputable company's van in my driveway. Of course, no one is answering their phone nor do they have voicemail. Please do yourself a favor...go with another company, any other company. read more

We called them because they had a special on the service charge. We have a heat pump for a two-room addition and separate heat and air for the rest of our home. The heat pump was not working which is what we called them about. My husband showed the technician the heat pump (which was near the air conditioner unit) and discussed the problem. The service man asked my husband to adjust the thermostat and when my husband stepped back outside he noticed the "repairman" doing something to the air conditioning unit and when the man saw my husband was back he acted like he was just confused and went back to "checking" the heat pump. After a short period of time the service man stated the heat pump needed to be replaced, that he could not repair it. After he left, the air conditioner began having problems. When my husband called Patterson's office he had to leave a message that was never returned. read more
