They are a little hidden in the crossroads but are right across the street from The Kauffman Center. They are super clean and they have the best hand soap in the bathroom. Service is always friendly. They do have a few snacks for purchase and you can bring in food. They occasionally have events like the Kansas City Symphony Encore nights (always a fun, unique experience), F1 races, and beer releases (Side Project). Follow them on social media to stay informed and definitely stop by for a beer!

The beer and whiskey options are fantastic! So many different things to try - many of which I hadn't heard of before. Our group tried different beers as well as a few of their whiskey cocktails. We really enjoyed all of our choices. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is that the bartender was not very personable. We are the type of people that like to try different things, so we have questions and would like some options or opinions from those that work there. She didn't really offer much banter or discussion, poured our drinks, and then left and never really followed up. She sat behind the bar, chatting with what seemed like a friend, and never checked in again. And when we went up to the bar to order another drink, it felt like we were interrupting her chat.

Josiah was the ideal bartender: funny, accommodating, and made a dang good Manhattan. On top of that, the food is really quite good. I had a simple cheeseburger before we flew out, and it actually was one of the best burgers I've had in a long while that wasn't made in my backyard. Properly prepared with quality ingredients and delivered quickly from the pass. Even the rather indulgent Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese was very well put together and definitely not just a funny throwaway dish the way many places would make it. It was seriously good. I'm sure we're going to darken their door every time we're back in KC. Thanks for the stellar experience (and background on some of the rather entertaining ambiance)!

Food Runners ensure food arrives hot from the kitchen. The Reuban and the Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches are my favorites. I love that you can add an egg cooked to order to any sandwich! My friend got the Fried Chicken Entree, sub chips instead of the mashed potatoes and Gravy. The Green beans appear fresh out the can. I usually dine in, although they have 2 patio areas ( out front and on the East Side of the Restaurant ).

Make reservations because they had a two hour wait for walk-ins. For appetizers we shared their burnt ends. Tender and sauced perfectly. For dinner we shared a wedge salad, their mashed potatoes, asparagus (a must!), and their tomahawk steak! Instead of doing three separate steaks we did the one and it was a perfect size for all of us to share! The steak was tender and well seasoned, mashed potatoes creamy, and the asparagus was prepared in a way we hadn't had before - highly recommend! We also had their dessert lemon meringue pie and coconut cream pie! Really really good! Wine options: amazing! Bourbon options: classy! We couldn't give it five stars for two main reason: 1. We made a reservation for 7pm, arrived and check in at 6:50 and still had to wait just over 30 minutes to be seated. We learned that walk-ins had been seated ahead of us so we needed to wait for some tables to leave before we could be seated. This was a bit surprising. We understand waiting a few minutes, but 30 min is not okay. 2. The sweet server assisting us for dinner was in training and we learned from her "trainer" that she wouldn't be getting any of the tips from our dinner. Additionally, the "trainer" came over around 830 to tell us that although it was only three of us that gratuity is automatically included. Very odd that we were told these things during our meal. The server being trained should absolutely get a portion of the tips - we hope restaurant management reconsiders their policy on this especially since we hardly saw her "trainer". We normally tip over the 20% but because the trainer didn't get any of our tips, we opted to not increase the tip that was automatically charged to us. All in all really classy restaurant and food was delicious! We'll be back for sure!
