The branch manager loui qoated me TWICE in 2 different occations totaling 1321 for ALL the material i needed. Upon me arriving to pick uo the material, i was hit wuth extra 1000 bucks AFTER I HAD ALREADY estimated and signed my documents with my client. His respons was only a sorry. I was reading about how some people have had a hard time getting a quote over the phone or prices over the phone. I called and asked for what I was looking for as well as the costs of the material and was given an answer as fast as the salesman could look it up in the computer (which took about 5 seconds) So they do give prices over the phone. This is a steel yard doesn't really have parking in front of the office so just drive into the yard and park in an open area. I left with a good amount of cold rolled steels of various thicknesses, some round stock and small odds/ends for around $120 I felt the prices were competitive, this is so close to home I will definitely go back. The old man who took my slip after I purchased my metal went to go grab and cut what needed to be cut for me pretty quick and loaded me up with his fork lift. Be sure to tip your fork lift driver! read more

This place really sucks. Their reps are so rude and disrespectful to Latinos. They are very condescending and disrespectful. While trying to get one of them to release my purchased materials, their lack education is beyond what is acceptable for business. I almost got my car hit by an idiot who was not paying attention. If you do not watch them carefully, your truck can be damage. It is just the lack of care. When I confronted the worker he just looked at me and was so dismissive. I was in the shop in about 4:50 and I know they close at five and people want to get out of there specially on a Monday after work but I had started in order and asked the counter girl if I could check with my welder on the phone for just a minute I came back in at about three minutes after five and she had shut down the computer and they said they were closed and would not serve me... Like I said I understand wanting to get out of there but I started my order before they were closed and she knew I was outside and shut down anyway. I see this is very very poor public relations and I just want to make note of that for them in the future if someone starts an order it would be nice if they could just finish it it was a very small order as well. Crappy asian metal (stick with USA made) and the prices are better at other locations (if you call to ask the price of something, they will intentionally dance around so you can't price against anyone else). I have been here SEVERAL times and mostly shop from the "remnant" pile. The one black haired woman charged us for a full cut length of steel one time saying it was cheaper. She has told us that several times but they charge fifty cents a pound for remnant steel. They have screwed us out of over $300 in steel. They are mostly highly priced on simple stuff. The guy that said they were cheap has clearly never been here before. They charged us over $300 for a piece of 2 1/4 inch pipe 20 feet long. After we bought it we found out at IPS (highest priced place possible) that they sell it for $150. Wtf!? The sad thing is none of the steel you get is US made. It's all untied emirates or Thailand. Just bs. I still go here cuz on pipe fittings they usually pull cheap prices. Expanded metal sheet is $40 for a 4x8 sheet which is cheap. Plate and pipe is over priced. read more

I was happy with the service and the prices here. They cut my Diamond plate for me at 5 bucks per cut and the finished product turned out great. They were really busy, but they still got me out fast. Will definitely return for any other metal needs. read more

If I could give these guys half a star, I would. This is the worst customer service we have experienced in years! Not only do they scapegoat and beat around the bush, but they try to blame the customer! We've been waiting for ONE piece for weeks and they've been playing games with us. "It'll get here next week" or, "it arrived but not here at our distribution center". The other day they made us drive out to their distributor in Fontana with the belief that our order was complete only to arrive and realize they messed up our order. My father is the one that's been working with them, and for a while I thought he was over exaggerating. Today it was my turn to call and speak to a representative to see what was going on... Not only did she leave me hanging for 30 minutes on hold, but once Alicia finally picked up (that was our salesperson) she was very rude and quite frankly just wanted to get me off the phone. I asked for an explanation and she seemed bothered and annoyed. Its safe to say that I own my father an apology. I don't know if they're understaffed or if they just straight up don't care about their reputation... If you can avoid working with this company, do it. Not worth your energy and more importantly, your time. read more

I like the one in Irwindale, ie Arrow Pipe and Steel! While Industrial Metal in Sunland has a bigger selection, their prices suck and their service is crap (always takes an hour to get out of there after I purchased a single piece.) I'd go to Arrow any time I could, just wish a bigger selection on stainless. They have just about everything else though in just about whatever you would normally find. read more

It's a metal yard, not Home Depot, so if you've never shopped outside of home improvement stores, know that prices are mot labeled and it isn't marked.
