Veggie quesadillas

Went to their stand at the Ballard farmers market. Super delicious veggie quesadilla! They do not skimp on the veggies. They come out incredibly fast and it's super flavorful and filling!

Went to the booth at the Ballard Farmers Market, service was very good! The veggie quesadilla is about $11, so a bit expensive. However, the price is worth it for me for three reasons: 1) they are a local small business which explains why they are at the farmers market 2) they are LOADED with vegetables/nutrients 3) the final product is actually so delicious!

Great find at the West Seattle Sunday market. You could smell goodness before you walked up. I don't really know which veggies were included in the mix (I know beets were in there) and I didn't really mind. My taste buds were watering before I dug in and the veggie bowl did not disappoint!! Try the salsa options on top for an extra kick!

The best veggie quesadillas ever, holy shit. I would literally devour buckets of these vegetables, whatever spices they have in that spice blend bucket must have some kind of ambrosia because damn. The tortilla was crispy from the stove top and the veggies were browned and so damn flavorful paired with the cheese in the quesadilla and the sauces they had on the counter. We went to the Caphill farmers market on Sunday for these things, and my god please just have this place open in every farmers market because I need it for every meal. I am such a fan. I know they have one in Ballard as well so really, there's no reason to not have them every Sunday. My friend got a veggie bowl and we split the quesadilla and bowl, and I must say that the quesadilla has magical powers because I was floating after eating that thing. I love vegetables, so it was a definite yes from me, but my friend who doesn't even like veggies all that much was completely sold as well. She's been raving about these quesadillas to anyone who will listen. So allow me to pass the message on. Eat the damn veggie quesadillas.

Pork Tamales at the Patty Pan Collective Booth @U-District Farmers Market

This review is for their pork tamales. Can I say, amazing? I found the Patty Pan Collective booth at the University District Farmers Market today. The tamale had that warm, melty homemade tamale taste-- like how tamales are supposed to taste like! Being from Southern California, I'm used to eating homemade tamales made by my Mexican friends around Christmas time. I've been meaning to make these at home! So glad I stumbled upon the Patty Pan Booth-- These were definitely tasty. Texture was soft, pork was cooked just right, flavor. Perks: They accept cash and card. (Yay, because I never carry cash.) They offer "heat and eat tamales" that you bring home with you and heat up. They come in packs of 3 for $8.50-$10 I'll definitely be coming back.

Can I give a 3.5 stars? I gave a 4 but felt that was a little too high. Ate at their neighborhood kitchen in Shoreline. The food is good and very fresh. They list the ingredients and what farm they came from which I think is pretty cool. They have a "Humble Feast" every Monday night. Buy your tickets online and in advance for $10 or you pay $12 at the door.

Veggie quesadilla and squash & caramelized onion tamale.
Jess M.

Enjoyed a quesadilla and tamale special at the stand at Jubilee Farms, which they are at during the weekends in October. We always enjoy the quesadilla with all the veggies and this year the tamale special with squash and caramelized onions was amazing. We love that they alway have several veggie options.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle! I'm from the south where there's a lot of…read moreauthentic Mexican restaurants ran by Mexican families, and this place tastes just like home. The service is always excellent (shout to Martín, he always takes care of us!), and the ambiance is cozy and fun. Large portions for a fair price, and the margaritas HITTTT. Best frozen margs and queso! If you're looking for upscale, gentrified Mexican food, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for cozy vibes with authentic food and strong drinks, this is the place :)

We walked right into the bar and snagged a table. The restaurant didn't appear to be busy, but the…read morebar was empty. The bartender was quick to bring us chips, salsa and menus. After giving us a few minutes, he came back and took drink orders. Upon delivery, he asked if we were ready to order. We were. The menu is large in size, bright in colors and offers familiar items. The pricing appears to be reasonable and for the most part, is. When the food is delivered, it is also bright in colors, especially with the contrasting colors of shredded lettuce, yellow cheese, red tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream. If we stopped there, I could easily give 5 stars. But we come to eat, and that counts a lot toward the score. I got a combination that came with a Enchilada (I got cheese), Taco (I got hard shell Chile Verde), Tostada (seasoned ground beef) and Chile Relleno. I also paid $4.50 to make my meal "deluxe". That adds one small scoop each of guacamole and sour cream. The Taco was okay but the pork was on the dry side and lacking any fat. The Enchilada was also okay but nothing special. The Tostada was the best item on my plate with the crispy corn tortilla, well-seasoned ground beef and a ton of lettuce, some cheese and diced tomatoes. This is where most of my guac and sour cream got used. Some old timers might remember Taco Bell's Beefy Tostada from days long ago. This was like an upgraded version of that. The Chile Relleno was terrible. Dry, hard cheese, no egg flavor, this made me think of something I might get out of the freezer and put in the microwave. My meal also came with beans and rice. She got a Chile Verde Burrito with a Chile Relleno, no beans, no rice. Her feeling on the Chile Relleno was the same as mine. She ate 1/4 of her burrito and stopped. Inside appeared to be nothing but dry Chile Verde. On top was guac and sour cream. Our friends each got a Tostada. She got Chile Verde and managed to finish 1/2. He got Chicken and finished his meal. For drinks, one of us got a beer, two of us got Diet Pepsi and one got Ice Water. I was not offered a refill on my drink. The portions are reasonable large, but the value is not there. Flavors are not strong. Service was mostly okay but that alone can't carry the meal. My wife and I would not return.
