Weekly Specials. Prices as of summer 2024. Note they are currently closed Sundays

I first stopped by Wet-Mex after visiting the Shoreline Goodwill and needed a quick snack. I've been returning practically every week this summer. My kids and I have tried, and love, the tacos al pastor, tacos asada, mulitas w/ chicken, quesadillas w/ chicken, churros, and jamaica. Tacos are topped with optional onion and cilantro, fresh lime wedges and cucumber slices on the side, and salsa verde or picante. The flavors are delicious and portions are just right. They have daily specials; I have my eye on the papusas special on Saturday. Note they're currently closed Sundays. Service is friendly and fast and prices are reasonable. They accept cash and card (small service fee), plus possibly Apple Pay but I haven't tried. There are two picnic tables set up under a canopy (if you're like me and my kids and are ready to devour your meal on the spot). Drink options include jamaica, horchata, assorted Jarritos, and canned soft drinks. Eventually I want to try everything on the menu.

Going with 3 stars here because of the lengua. Most Mexican places up here don't serve it up here so I commend Wet-Mex for doing it. I just wish that it was better. I got a couple of tacos and the lengua was tough and tasted old. The pastor was also just ok. The service was great and the lady was super nice. My co-worker goes here all the time and his food always smells great so maybe I just didn't order the right thing. I'm not going to write them off and return to try more items. I'm pretty excited about the pupusas and can't wait to try. You can find the truck off the Goodwill parking lot off 15th. Again, I wasn't too happy with my lengua tacos but I'll eat here over Chipotle anytime.

Been on a hunt to find the best burrito in Seattle and I can assure you this is NOT IT. Smallest burrito I've ever received and it fell apart from the bottom because it was poorly wrapped and soggy

I've seen the signs when I head home/ work and finally made it! The food was good Service was nice When I saw the tacos dorados I knew it was going to be dangerous Ha only slightly bummed when it WASNT the greasy cheese ball I was hoping for haha Instead they had cotija cheese and lettuce Booo- for being healthy -but all in all it was good Salsas were on point Priced well - there were some comments about being priced high - but I thought it was fair considering worst tasting Mexican food has cost me more at other places I'm excited to go back!!!

Breakfast Burrito hit the spot. Big portion to and shared just 1 between two people. Really good service. Wanting to come back again and get tacos!

This food truck recently popped up near my house & we finally decided to give it a go. Off the bat, we weren't sure about the food because of the photos looked questionable, turns out, I think they must have used internet stock photos because the pics do no zero justice to the quality of the food. It was delicious! We also weren't sure, the prices were a bit higher than we expected, but we're happy with the portions & quality of food. 1. We ordered a Wet Carne Burrito, it was fantastic! We added sour cream - worth it, and I would definitely add avocado next time. Yum! (It came with a side of green salsa sauce & red salsa sauce, both homemade, both delicious- we liked the red more, it had more of a kick. 2. We ordered the Loaded Fries & were happy with the presentation and the size. The toppings & Carne were fantastic, but we just weren't as into the queso. The fries also weren't of exceptional quality, so we weren't sure why it cost over $10. We still ate it but super wished that it hadn't been smothered in so much of the queso. This is the only reason for the 4*'s. We are going back immediately to try an array of tacos, see which meat we like the best to insure the greatness if future burritis! Yum!

Sopping wet burrito. Food was bland, service was good. Big portions but I won't eat it. Not worth the money sadly.

I've eaten here a few times. The food is hit or miss. The area isn't super nice, but it's near my home.

Aurora Ave is well-known for its plethora of Mexican food trucks (at least to me, what did YOU…read morethink it was known for?) El Camión stacks up with the best of 'em. Which is good, because you can't feasibly name your food truck "The Truck" if your food is trash. We were famished, so my dog and I were on a late night hunt for an Absolute Unit-Rito. Something that would take an army to demolish. After a disappointing realization that one of my favorite spots was closed for the night, little did I know that the stars were aligning for a real Guac-Ness Monster that was headed my way. I think that one of the truly special things about El Camión is that it's in the Home Depot parking lot. What's better than taking in the aura of home improvement before smashing some tacos? Let's get to the food here. I knew I was getting a burrito, but what type? It turns out that El Camión is serving up cochinita pibil, which is a rarity in Seattle, so I had to give it a try. They will also LOAD up your burrito with vegetables for $2. And I'm not talking about some skimpy little vegetables. We had some thick slices of peppers, onions, and even squash. This made me feel a liiiiiiittle better about the long term health effects of my burrito obsession. This may have been one of the heftiest lads I've ever encountered on my lifelong apprenticeship of burrito studies. If I could give you one piece of advice here, do NOT operate heavy machinery while eating this. It's meant to be enjoyed while sitting down. But what the meal lacks in structural integrity, it makes up for in flavor. As a sauce-boi, I applaud El Camión for their variety of salsas. This is completely necessary on a burrito of this size to cut through all of the fat. Major props to The Truck. Stop here after you get your new light fixtures for a good time.

Today I played another game of "drive up Aurora Ave until you see a Mexican food truck that you've…read morenever been to before". I caught Anita's shimmering food truck in my periphery as I was driving past, and I knew it was time to stop. They have an extensive menu (tortas, burritos, tacos, soups, and more) with what seems to be over 20 meat options. How do they have this many meat options? Where are they preparing all of it? My mom once told me not to ask questions that I don't want the answer to, so I'm just going to leave that here. After sweating out the menu for a bit, I elected for the carnitas burrito (carnitarito) and added avocado inside. Interestingly enough, they don't seem to have guacamole here. Anyone who eats with me knows that I'm not big on avocado slices, but they do a solid job of mashing it up here anyways. This meat vessel was the ideal size. It was hefty, but held everything in perfectly, which is an essential trait for food trucks. For far too long, the burrito-verse has been crowded with: 1) burritos that are too small, or, 2) burritos that are massive, but are falling apart / dripping. Neither of those will do when you're eating a burrito on the move. I just got a new car (big time brag), so I'm not gonna eat a burrito in it anyways, but if I chose to do so it would be a rito from Anita's. The burrito itself had awesome flavor. It's really simple in its makeup, but the carnitas had big, bold, taste and were expert-level juicy. My favorite part was how generous they were with their salsas. All-too-often a burrito joint will only give you one, maybe two sauces. Anita hooked it up with 3. The sauce play was unparalleled. I was dipping. I was mixing and matching. I was combining flavor profiles and colors. A high quality burrito experience, no doubt. Anita's also has an enticing breakfast menu. It's not too often I'm up on Aurora in the wee hours of the morning, but I'd love to give it a shot.
