We stopped by Taco La Cuadra this past Tuesday night (July 2nd around 9 PM), and I'm still thinking about how good everything was! This place is the definition of a hidden gem, authentic, affordable, and absolutely packed with flavor. Even late in the evening, the place was busy, and that's always a good sign. Despite the rush, the customer service was amazing, fast, friendly, and full of energy. You can tell the people running it care about both the food and their customers. I ordered chicken tacos and a chicken torta, and honestly, the food was so good I couldn't stop eating, even after I was completely full. The chicken was super flavorful, juicy, and grilled to perfection. You could taste the freshness in every bite, and the portions were huge! They had three different sauces and two kinds of salsa, each with a distinct flavor and heat level. The toppings bar had a nice selection of fresh salads and add-ons that let you customize your meal exactly the way you like it. The torta was packed and messy in the best way possible, and the tacos were loaded and satisfying. The value is unbeatable--super cheap for the quality and quantity of food you get. It honestly puts a lot of more expensive places to shame. A few notes: 1. They only accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle, so make sure you come prepared. 2. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but if you eat chicken, you're in for something special. 3. On a warm summer night, it's the perfect spot to enjoy fresh, hot food outdoors with the amazing smell of cooking filling the air. I can't wait to go back and try more off their menu. Taco La Cuadra is one of those places you crave after just one visit. Highly, highly recommend!

I've had la cuadra almost every month this year!! No kidding. Their tacos are so good. I love their al pastor and tripa. I'd say they aren't always consistent e.g. there were a few times i didn't get pineapple on my pastor and tripa is sometimes crunchy, sometimes not. I keep coming back because they are not too far from me, and their tacos are still one of the best I've had. They also have a self-serve salsa bar which is another plus. The wait can vary from night to night. Going late night usually is less crowded. They accept non-cash payments thru venmo etc which is nice.

Finally made it to this Taco Truck I've been seeing all over social media! It's located on Rainier Ave S. In the parking lot of Autozone. We got here 20min before opening & a line already started to form. We ordered 8 tacos (lengua, al pastor, Carne asada), 1 mulita and 1 jamaica, all this for $36. They are known for their al pastor tacos. This is my first time trying this, so I really can't say how it compares to others, but these were good with a hint of sweet and a piece of pineapple. I'm glad I ordered 3 of these:) My highlight was the lengua, it was so good! And the mulitas? Like Little quesadillas, but better! With meat & cheese, perfectly snackable! There is no outdoor seating so you have to eat at home or by your car like we and a few others did! I will most likely return when that taco craving hits again!

Delicious street tacos. Super juicy, love all the toppings. Hearty, flavorful, and they have tripe!

Came here on a Saturday night around 9pm, and I feel the hype has mellowed down since last year in a different location. I was able to just walk up and put in my order, and got my taco in like 10mins or so. Also, this time, they finally have the pineapple on my al pastor taco!! Their payment method has changed as well as they do not accept venmo anymore. Either you pay cash or credit card (which you pay the additional 3% CC surcharge).

Review is for the Northgate location (across Walgreens). There's a line before 7 pm when they open and everyone remains excited as they get things fully moving around 7:30 pm. They have al pastor on a spit that you can smell before you turn off your car when you park. You rarely see Al pastor on a spit, let alone a decent line before a spot opens. Say less, this is a 5/5 you need to try it. They accept Zelle, Venmo, and cash app payment if you don't have cash btw. Self serve condiments and salsa. Favorites were Al pastor and cabeza, their lengua is just ok and I would pass, but they're forgiven because their al pastor with a cut of pineapple is a taco is glorious. Their burritos are pretty value too and packed with meat, but there is also a fair amount of rice as FYI. But $11 for a burrito can sound convincing vs $3 each for a taco (and I always order at least 4 so it's a tough choice between the two on value). Easily one of the top taco spots in Seattle Note: as of 3/15/25, the northgate spot is fenced off and no longer there. We found there's an Aurora location about 6 mins away. No signage so are they the same? Food tastes similar though

This review is for the Northgate Way location - I couldn't find this specific one listed here on Yelp. We have always wanted to try Tacos La Cuadra - ever since we first saw them pop up in the Northgate area when we were driving by one evening. But we would always see them after we had already eaten - other times, we would try to find them and could never locate where they were supposed to be. Well, tonight the planets finally aligned and we saw them *before* we had eaten -- so we knew what we would be having for dinner! It was the 8 o'clock hour and the line was only about 5 people long so far... we were so stoked because in the past, we'd seen lines down the block! I got a pollo burrito (which was HUGE and super hot, btw! A wonderful value at only $11!) and my husband ordered the al pastor and carne asada tacos. Here's what we loved: - the meats were so tender and flavorful! Walking up to the stand, we could witness the al pastor meat cooking by flame and being sliced for tacos -lots of fresh salsas and toppings to choose from to top tacos or to put in containers to take with us - people around us were all generally happy and excited to get dinner there, music was playing, it was a fun experience - parking was super easy as they were located on the corner of the big TJ Maxx parking lot What could have been better: - it was hard to figure out where the end of the line was, people were standing all over the place in different groups. Took us a while to find where to go. Looking forward to our next visit to try more!

I'm not sure if this location is still open, but this food stall is located in the parking lot of the AutoZone in Rainier Beach in the South End. The stall opens at 7pm, but people start lining up earlier than that. Since their virality, it sounds like multiple stands have opened up in various places across the city, but I believe this is the original stall. They have multiple items on the menu, but I love Al Pastor. I also decided to try the Lengua (tongue) as well. The stall also serves agua frescas, which I decided to order the Horchata (not pictured). Each taco was about $4 each with the Horchata costing $5. For the price and taste, I would definitely go back! There is also a self-serve station with toppings and sauces, which include: sliced purple onions, cubed white onions, cucumbers, limes, cheese, cilantro, salsa, and the typical three sauces of various spice levels. You can customize your tacos to your liking! I've seen people order tacos in bulk and pack everything to eat at home, which is why the line and wait can be long. A lot of people like this place because it also stays open.

Just moved to Seattle from LA and was really missing the taco stands they have down there. Luckily I found this place just driving around which seemed to have a decent line forming so decided to stop by. One word... LEGIT! First, the trompo is real! They had that Al Pastor roasting and even had the pineapple on top. Amazing flavor and good crispy char. Next, the portions are decent! They don't skimp on the tacos, burritos, or mulitas. Lastly, they got all your favorites from tripe, lengua, cabeza, asada, al pastor... didn't see any carnitas, but they had a decent selection. Also they'll put it in your favorite configuration from tacos to burritos to mulitas to tortas etc. Quality is on-point. They got all your fixings with the diced onions, cilantro, lime, didn't see any radish or jalapenos/carrots, but still pretty good. I always say the salsa will make or break their offerings. Theirs was amazing! Good kick and both roja and verde salsas had good flavor. They even had a nice creamy guacamole one! They accept cash or any popular money transfer app like venmo or paypal. Parking is probably the most difficult. I had to circle a couple times. The lot is fairly small on that triangle island where the stand is, but we managed to find a spot. Saw a lot of people just randomly parking and crossing the street. Overall, this is so far the closest taco stand I found to my faves in LA. Will definitely be coming back on the next craving!

Get the al pastor tacos. Even if your first love isn't al pastor, it WILL BE after you try theirs!! I tried 1 al pastor, 1 lengua, 1 cabeza, and 1 suadero taco. They were all hot and fresh but the pastor stood out as the most tender, flavorful, and juicy. So let's be real, if you walk by a taco stand on a sidewalk at night time and see flames coming off a tower of charred marinated pork and pineapple....get the al pastor tacos. You won't be sorry.

    Al pastor tacos sooooooo good

This is a review for the stand outside in a little parking lot on 23rd and Rainier. If I could give it six stars I would. Oh my god. My prayers have been answered. My husband is Mexican and we are always in search for good Mexican food in Seattle. We've never been to a place that even came close to California tacos...until today. $3 per taco. Six tacos fed two of us for under $20 (although they were sooo good next time we're ordering more!). Good amount of meat inside, then I recommend adding fresh onion, cilantro, and lime. The roasted salsa verde or the red salsa were both excellent options. The meat is being spun on a spit right in front of you. It is absolutely delicious and the pineapple just completes it. *chefs kiss* They also make burritos and tortas and quesidillas, which looked great too. But honestly I don't think I'll ever go there and not get the al pastor tacos. Paying was easy. Multiple cashless options to pay with your phone including Venmo and Zelle. Most people seem to eat in their cars or take to go. I recommend eating them ASAP while they're piping hot rather than waiting to get home. There was a decent crowd waiting on Saturday night but it moved pretty fast and was 1000% worth the wait. Run, don't walk, to this place if you've been searching for good Mexican food in Seattle. Thank you Kenji for the recommendation!

Sooo cheap and so good! Probably the best tacos I've had in seattle. I got three tacos and a burrito (all of which were HEAVY on the meat) for only $20! They also have a serve yourself toppings and sauce bar, so you can grab as much as your heart desires. Parking is easy as there's a lot right next to the tent. The line can get long (but moves quickly!), and there really isn't any covering so if it's raining, you just gotta stick it out and get wet. But it's 100% worth it for these tacos. I highly recommend checking out Tacos La Cuadra!

    Brandon L.

I was really surprised to find such high quality tacos in Seattle. The lengua was perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of chew--better than most of the tacos I've had in Oakland and San Jose. They even hold their own compared to the tacos in LA and San Diego! The Al Pastor was sliced straight off a trompo and had a unique marinade that really stood out. The suadero was tender, though I think a harder sear would have elevated it even more. The salsas were on point, flavorful and well-seasoned. Honestly, you're not missing much from California tacos here. I'll definitely be back!

Our office gets a list of the weekly offerings on Monday, so when I heard that later in the week there would be Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen, bringing Filipino food, I most definitely made lunch plans. I was coming in from a meeting in Fremont, so didn't go to the pop-up/Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen as soon as it started service (around 11am). With that said, I nearly missed out on the chicken adobo! I took the last of the chicken adobo an hour and a half after the lunch service started, so was counting my blessings! I ordered the lunch plate, which came with chicken adobo, pancit, rice and pickled veggies. My lunch plate was solid. Chicken adobo was tender and really, really liked how vinegar-y the flavor was, which, any Filipino would tell you that all food tastes better with vinegar! Pancit wasn't bad, but not the best. Some of the noodles were on the dry side, but I did like the cabbage and green onion throughout. Pickled veggies were a nice addition, adding more sour flavor to the overall entree. For someone who hardly ever has Filipino food and desperately misses mom's cooking, I was just happy to have Salu-Salo bring some adobo to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Salu-Salo if you ever see their stand around. They don't update their social media channels, unfortunately, so is a little difficult to find where their stand will be. And when I asked if they participate in any markets, they do not. But the owners did mention that they visit downtown Seattle often at other office buildings around. Therefore, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them soon and getting my Filipino cuisine on. (Plus, bonus points for the owner being from the Bicol region of the Philippines, which is where my mom's side is from. Love that!)

For example, my favorite dish on the menu is the Laing Express, which is made with coconut milk, taro leaves, topped with a delicious crispy piece of pork belly. With a topping of pork belly, how could anything go wrong? This dish has an amazing earthy flavor, with a bit of a kick to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Rosario's cuisine feels like a healthy take on comfort food. Each dish bursting with flavor, yet still accessible to all ages. Pita Burrito, Carne Asada ($16.27) - Huge burrito incoming, probably over 2 lb. I would say similar to Mission-sized, but the interior ingredients are not quite up to standard. Still, very impressive for the region. There's a large tortilla, warm and pliable, absolutely filled with tons of stuff. Firstly, a very good portion of beef, not seasoned much other than salt, but giving a great beefy flavor. The beef chunks are crisped up on the flat top perfectly, giving plenty of texture. This does dry out the meat, so there's a tradeoff, but that's what the cheese, guac and sour cream are for. Enough moisture is included so that, while not nearly as messy to eat as a typical Mission burrito, it's enough for each bite. There's a well balanced portion of rice and beans as well. The construction is pretty good so the burrito can be eaten in the hand without issues. (5/5) Is this the best burrito in the world, as some people seem to think? No way, but I think it's very solid for being in Washington and is one of the best I've had since moving to the state. Note: Pita's charges a little extra for credit card usage. I'm not sure how much percentage (it was 27 cents for us), and I don't recall them having a sign up stating they charge for credit cards.
