Freshly made patties from this small store front. Expect to wait. Beef or chicken patty $2.99/ each. See other price on photo. Beef patty very saucy and tasty can be very hot inside so be careful! They also have other offerings curry goat and oxtail, coco bread, drinks. *Cash ONLY! Parking wise, outsidethe store front is a small strip mall, this is usually a very full lot.
The place does get quite busy so there will be some wait ordering and receiving the food but the beef patty was fantastic. I've tried patties from less than 10 places so I may not be an expert, but this has been the best patty I have ever had. The ratio was perfect and the flavor was amazing. Would love to come back here again.
One of my greatest regrets during my recent trip home was walking past Patty Time and not going in. I believe they offer vegetable patties, something I would've loved, and yet somehow I didn't stop. Big mistake. Huge. Patty Time is one of those staple spots that's been around forever, and for good reason. It's stood the test of time in a city that's always changing, and places like that deserve respect. I didn't eat here on this trip, but if I had gotten a patty anywhere, it would've been from Patty Time. I'd have wandered in got my patty and taken it to go because it was never a place I would dine-in at, but a place I would stop off at on my way home from school or on the way to the park with friends. If I remember correctly, it might have a table or two but not really a sit down and eat spot? I'm giving it four stars on nostalgia alone. I just hope it stays open long enough for me to make things right next time I'm back. Patty Time, don't go anywhere. I've got a patty to eat.
I've been meaning to come here for a long time. Right when I come there is a lineup, and also this place only takes cash, so make sure you bring cash. We got a beef patty and a chicken patty, the beef patty was the saving grace, the chicken patty had too much curry powder. Their beef patty was dynamite, their chicken patty was too overpowering with curry powder. I can't believe I've never been here before, and you can see in the kitchen they are making the patties fresh. I see people are ordering other dishes here like oxtail I gotta try that next time. The crust was super flaky and buttery, I think I know how they make the filling but if you like beef patties this is the place to go.
Cash only!! Come prepared. The single patties were $2.85 plus tax, whether beef or chicken. Went here for lunch and there was a lineup that wrapped to the door. But for singles, they work quick. I stood in line 10 minutes, but upon ordering, got my singles in 2 min. The ones i got were quite flat, not quite as filled as I've had with other patties. Considering they close a little early and are slightly more expensive, I think I'd prefer Patty King to these patties. But they are a close second.
Patty Time is at Brimley Rd & Lawrence Ave E-ish. A minimalistic takeout (don't expect decor or ambience!) joint nestled in a small plaza, parking can be a bit tight during peak meal times. When they're extra busy, they cap you at 6 patties - though usually, they only sell in singles or dozens! I'd love to do a mix of 6 beef and 6 chicken... Service is minimal. Order fast and please leave vibes. Little pricier than other places, but I'd say it is totally worth it. The patties are awesome though! Golden, flaky exterior gives way to a hearty filling, generously packed with meat and sauce, with a slight kick of spice. I buy frozen ones. Toss them in the airfryer, 350F, chubby side down for 15 minutes, then flip for a final 5. Worth a detour if you're in the mood for stocking up on patties.
How come nobody told me about this place and I lived in Scarborough all my life? Omg, it's a jump, skip, and hop, and I am atvtheir door steps. Let's talk about location. It's in a small plaza east of Brimley on Lawrence. Normally, there is a lineup, but if you go early. It's a shorter line. The first time, I waited 20-25 minutes. Second time, only 5 minutes. I can see they make it fresh daily. I ordered 2 boxes of hot ones, not room temperature. The hot (as in temperature) is very hot. I waited 2 minutes and there was a party in my mouth. These are the best patties I have ever tasted. (This is my opinion). It's fresh, juicy, and tasty. I ate one, and I couldn't stop myself, so I ended up eating 4. Lol. I highly recommend this place. Delicious!
Hands down one of if not THE BEST Jamaican beef patties I've ever had! There WILL be a line, and you WILL wait in it. It was worth the wait. There will always be a line. The crust is flaky, and the filling is perfect. Nicely seasoned, a little bit of heat, and not skimpy on the filling. The ground beef isn't that mushy paste you get with some patties. You can see the grounds of meat. It's a nice mom and pop kind of shop, and it's cash only. The parking is limited, and the hours are short. Closed Sunday and Monday. I wish they had a more refined ordering system or a bigger operation, but I think going through the hassle kind of adds to the charm. When you finally get your order and you take the first bite, it all kind of feels worth it.
If you're looking for legit Jamaican beef patties, this is the place to go! I waited for approx 15 minutes (in line and food prep) for my dozen of patties. They came out sooo fresh, it was steaming hot!!! I love when my food is hot, so I really enjoyed it. The crust was thin, so you'll need at least two patties to get full. Highly recommend if you're craving for patties!
Super busy spot! There was a line out the door when we stopped by on a weekend, but it went pretty quick. Maybe a 10-15minute wait to order? 100% worth the wait. Got a couple of piping hot beef and chicken patties to eat in the car, along with a dozen frozen beef patties. The chicken wasn't dry at all, with a nice curry flavour. I'd definitely get it again. But their beef patties were amazing. Super generous with their filling, and the dough was perfectly flakey, not too thick or doughy. Has become our go to spot for patties. Delicious! Cash only. Will try their oxtail next time, heard it was delicious!
Hands down best beef patty I've tried. It isn't a myth but a fact how juicy and flaky. Everything was spot on to make a perfect Patty. Service was quick and fast. I've only had their beef but will definitely try their sold out chicken. Only thing I wish was they don't close so early but other than that 5/5! I have been going to this place for Jamaican Patty with a combination of their coco bread. Yummy! First time to try the Curry Goat. Meat is tender, spicy, but way too oily. Smell of goat is so strong (hubby's comment)! Excellent service . Pay in cash only read more
These patties are good. The crust is flaky, thin, and there's a good amount of filling. The beef ones were better than the chicken ones I found. I thought that the filling was a bit too liquidy as a well but maybe it was just too hot when I bit into it. All same levels of spice. The ones with the red dot are the chicken patties. You can buy them individually or by the half dozen or dozen. I usually freeze them at home when I buy a dozen. You can also mix beef and chicken. Good service as well. I tend to prefer a thicker crust, but that's just my opinion. I've been on the search for the best patty in the city, and I have yet to find one better than at Warden Station--although Randy's comes pretty close. read more

I am a patty lover and I have been told by my friend that I must come here for a visit cuz their patties are out of this world! So I Finally made a trip down to Scarborough to give this a try! It was a Saturday late afternoon, lunch is over and still a few hours before dinner but there is a line up at this place! I see people ordering oxtail, patty with cocobread, and boxes of patties. I looked at the prices and it is not cheap compare to some other Jamaica places and yet, there still a line up, so I know they must be doing something right! When it is my turn, I ordered 2 beef patties and to my surprise, I was not ask spicy or no spicy, guess they only makes one kind. When I got the patties, it was hot and fresh but I thought was...this looks like the patties I normally have, no difference. Boy...was I so wrong! The first bite was just the pastry and it blew my mind! The flanky pastry was actually has been seasoned and very tasty! Needless to say the beed filling was so good! If I had know this is that good, I would have grab a few dozen to take home! Overall the place is bright and clean, patties are good, the reason for 4 stars was the price point and no selection on spicy level. Best Jamaican patty in the GTA. You know when patty is good, you will see majority of Jamaicans lining up. They sell beef & chicken patty. Oxtail and curry goat. Caution: They ran out of food fast. OMG. The beef patty here was SO good! I came here based on Yelp reviews. They have a simple menu. Chicken or Beef patties. No spice level. They are all the same. I would classify it as inbetween spicy and Mild. I agree with a previous review that it needs a kick but they have hot sauce on the table if you want it that bad. I ordered a dozen frozen to take home! Seeing that Patty Time is so close to work and it has raving 5-star reviews, I have got to try this place out! My boyfriend initially thought it was located in the Bombay Bazaar strip mall but it's actually a tiny plaza just east of it, right next to a hair salon named Conrad's. Food: Curry goat: 3 stars Patty: 4.5 stars Mainly came here for the patties but after looking through their menu, I was on the fence about the curry goat and the oxtail. I decided on the curry goat and I was not disappointed with my choice. The meat was firm and gamy, and usually came with a piece of bone so be careful not to chip a tooth. There may be some small shattered pieces of bone in the rice as well, so don't be scarfing it down too fast. There was a good portion of meat, but wish there was more corn and tomatoes; I literally got one slice of tomato. The rice could have more beans and be more flavourful, but there definitely was a lot of it so no worries about it not being filling enough. The patties here are really delicious! Probably one of the best I have ever had. Piping hot with a good amount of filling. It's mildly spicy and you can see that there's ground beef in it and not just some brown paste that tastes like beef. The only little thing that cost it 0.5 stars is that the patties are a tidbit small. Will definitely be back for more when I'm having a craving though! Ambiance: 2.5 stars It's a small take-out shop. It's a little decrepit and simple to no decor. It's selling point is mainly its homemade Caribbean food. Parking wasn't too much of an issue. The plaza is very small but other than Conrad's and Patty Time, there isn't much else going on there. Service: 3 stars It's take-out, but the ladies at the counter were nice enough.
