they charged me for an examination they did not do then charged me $240 for a set of RGP contacts when I only had a change on one lens. went to Walmart and paid $70 for the one lens. I have used Walmart for a replacement lens in the past and they were fine. Patty is a rip off. Be careful and look your bill over. read more

Very disappointed in how I was treated today. So humiliated infront of the staff by another staff member. I honestly couldn't believe no one stood up for me. My husband has been a patient there for around 15 years and me at least 5. The troll was honestly so rude and went too far. I walked out and was told Good that I was leaving. So here's the skinny on Patty Vision Center...I spent over $500 on doctor visits alone with them last December due to a corneal ulcer (that's WITH vision insurance) I paid $45 a visit to be seen by the doctor for no longer than 5 mins, often to tell me 'well, let's try this' each time...where I ended up having to pay over $300 on medication (that's on top of the other $500 in visits). So after that debacle, they recommended OneADay contact lenses, which I complied with. After purchasing my second round of OneADay lenses, I've realized it's just too expensive. So as I dwindled down to my last few pair, I walked into Patty Vision to ask if I could go to the 30-Day lenses, where I was told I was HAVE to see the doctor again and there would also be a charge. They refused to give me an emergency strip of OneADays....citing their own rule about how those are strictly for people getting an eye exam. (I walked into a lenscrafter where they offered me an emergency pack, but I would have to pay for my exam there out of pocket because I used my yearly eye exam at Patty Vision, where they only fitted me for one form of contacts.) So I'm in a bind and they have been MORE than UNWILLING to help me in this situation. They are more concerned about their payments and fees and offering me to BUY a new 90 day box (Which they make money off of), rather than issue me an emergency strip of contacts until they can get me into see the doctor--NEXT WEEK is earliest they can get me in. Care about the well being of their patients? I think not. Best suggestion is go to the Lenscrafters over in Alamance Crossing, which is where I will be because they were willing and attempted to help me and I wasn't even a patient of theirs. One emergency strip is all they needed to give out to get me to a new doctor's visit (which shouldn't have to happen, but I was going to suck that up), but instead they keep telling me to purchase a 90 day supply of contacts I don't want anymore. Eye Doc's were great. Customer service was horrible. New frames and lenses were ordered and paid in full up front. Almost 2 1/2 weeks later still no glasses. Stay away from this Eye Center. read more

Very comfortable atmosphere with plenty of armchairs for people waiting... had a comfy feel the whole front office (waiting) area.. Came with a prescription only for glasses.. My insurance info was handled fast and picking out frames did not feel like the "OTHER" place where it seemed like they were on commission and following me around like a hound dog after a meal!! and feeling stressed! ... Taken right away and everything went fast and smoothly... Can't wait to get my first pair of glasses in about a week.... I will be able to read again good... Will Definately be back when glasses are needed again or contacts... ty for the pleasant experience... Glasses come in about a week but do not expect an issues with getting them..... read more

I have been a patient here for many years and have had great experiences! The staff are friendly and while the office is always busy, they are quick to help me. I hate to see others have had problems as my experience has been the exact opposite. It leaves me to believe the other reviews must be anomalies! Patty Vision Center is the best eye care office I have ever been to - and having worn glasses since the 4th grade, I have been to a lot! I have seen each of the doctors at the office and have found every single one of them to be incredibly kind attentive, and intelligent. This year I had to return a few times to get my contact lenses right (I am so picky!) and each time the doctor was happy to hear my concerns and more than willing to continue to work with me to find the perfect fit! The optical department is also wonderful and both of the ladies in that area work very hard to ensure that you are taken care of and that all of your needs are met when picking out and purchasing your glasses, plus they have a great selection of frames! The front office staff is extraordinarily nice and anyone of them will go out of their way to make sure that your visit is a pleasant one. I hope that everyone who reads this review will make sure to visit Patty Vision Center and have the same great experience that I have! read more

Worst doctors and customer service that I have ever dealt with. On my first visit they wrote the wrong numbers on my prescription and cost me over $100.00 in worthless glasses. On my second visit I asked the doctor not to forget to write my PD on my prescription but he conveniently did anyway. When I called back to get this the receptionist was rude, argumentative and also lied to me. Needless to say me nor my daughter will ever go back to this eye doctor but would not recommend them to anyone. I only gave a 1 star because that is as low as it would let me go. Should have been a minus 1. How any business can stay open with this type of treatment I will never understand. read more

First my daughter had an eye exam 2 weeks ago. The dr was great, I really like her. My daughter needed glasses. We go pick out the glasses. Of course the lady doing the glasses ask if we want the scratch guard protection.. Of course I said yes. Then the lady is like would you like any other details for your glasses. Well with me not ever having glasses and this is the first for my daughter.. We both asked did she need anything else and the lady said no I believe you are good. So I paid for everything.. 2 days later her glasses come in she picks them up. While driving at night she gets a glare on them from the lights, also at work and at school. So she calls and ask could something be done to fix the problem. The lady on the other end tells her not to wear them at night.. Then she said well that's going to be 70.00. My daughter asked do you take care credit and the lady takes the numbers from her credit card to see if it works. The lady calls and says it didn't go through. My daughter tells her don't order them let me talk to my parents and I'll let you know.. fast forward to today... My daughter gets a bill for 70.00 today in the mail. Calls questions them why cause everything was paid the day we went.. The lady says I'll have to call u back. She calls back and says you ordered the other glasses my daughter said no I told the lady not to until I talked to my parents.. The lady on the phone proceeds with well we will send them back and my daughter is trying to tell her that I would buy them. That I am coming to get them. The lady hangs up on her.. That's very unprofessional. If you can't handle customer service then you don't need this type of job.. What is bottom line they made a mistake but I was going to buy them but now they can sit on the 70.00$$ My daughter was very nice to her. She didn't deserve to be treated this way!! read more
