When I decided to get an attorney, the one thing I knew was that I didn't want to be just another client at a mega injury firm you see on television. It was my belief that a smaller firm with a dedicated staff would be the David I needed to go up against Goliath. Meeting with Doug Landau and his team and asking them to represent me was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Doug knows the intricacies of WC and injury law, he knew how difficult the numerous procedures and surgeries were for me, both physically and mentally, and often, he knew exactly when to simply listen. Doug has a rare gift to read people, situations, and adversaries. His professionalism, humanity, and focus carries over to his amazing team of legal professionals. I was a human being to them and no question I asked was too small or too dumb. During what is often the worst time in someone's life, Doug Landau and his colleagues are the people you want in your corner. I can promise you one thing...you'll never regret having Abrams Landau fighting to help make your life as whole as possible; they make your struggle theirs. I will always have the utmost respect for Doug and each and every person in his office.

They know the steps to take and give you the paperwork to provide to your doctors to have everything documented properly. When it came time for my hearing, Mr. Landau was truly outstanding! Needless to say he won my case. I will be forever grateful to him and his staff who were always so welcoming and very efficient in getting paperwork submitted. I would give this law office 10 stars.

Updating my review as Yelp did not allow the edit and instead of saying I would give a 1-star…read morereview, I meant I would give 0 stars. In light of my experience at this firm, I am hoping my review will help others who need an attorney. When I first found this firm, I saw all the positive reviews and thought that the service would match but I was wrong. At first, Brandon comes across as very knowledgeable and seemingly prides himself on communication but this quickly changed. After I signed the docs to hire him, my case immediately was given to a case manager. There were issues with services promised that were never completed such as letters of protection, consistent administrative errors on settlement documentation, errors in requesting duplicate records of medical records costing me duplicative, and unnecessary fees to name a few. Even after multiple attempts to get Brandon to address it, the issues continued. The most recent example is on my settlement documentation them listing out medical bills to be paid to providers that had no medical liens, why are you requiring them to be paid out of my settlement if they have no lien on it? And why aren't you communicating with me to discuss this first? There were just constant issues with communication and the more you challenge Brandon, the nastier he got. In one particularly egregious example, they claimed they did not get any of my medical bills reduced. I found this odd and called the places myself and was told that no one from the law firm ever reached out to discuss any medical bill negotiations. One place sent me an email that they never heard from Brandon or anyone from his firm, which I forwarded to Brandon and he completely denied it and tried to make it seem like I made it up. Both he and his paralegal contradict each other in emails and Brandon just keeps saying what a great job they are doing. If you look at their google reviews and even other reviews here on Yelp, it's obvious that I am not the only one with these issues. The most recent act by Brandon was after multiple attempts to get him to address my concerns that went unanswered, I made him aware I would be reaching out to the Virginia Bar for help with mediation. Knowing that I was doing that and knowing that he never responded to any of my emails regarding my concerns, he filed a lawsuit against me. To make matters worse, once I responded to the lawsuit and said that he needed to ensure that the document was correct before I would sign. He wrote me a nasty email back stating how big of a headache I was to his firm (so wanting the bare minimum of customer service and addressing my concerns makes me a headache..got it), he would give me two options. He would remove the legal fees of the lawsuit he filed against me if I would remove what he claimed were false reviews about him and his firm. He also added that if I even so much as THOUGHT about posting another negative review that it would become actionable OR I could sign the document with the legal fees attached. I said I'd sign the document with the legal fees attached because I was not removing my review or my right to think about a review in the future. He responds that he will give me two options for a date for court and will be pursuing attorney fees. So he gave me two options and didn't like the option I chose and so he is continuing with his retaliatory behavior. I have copies of all the documentation from the start until the end to prove everything I am stating. All I can do is give the facts of my experience with firm and let others know how I felt in my dealings with them. To me, there is nothing special about winning a slam dunk case with low policy limits. Customer service matters, integrity matters. If your client is saying there are concerns and missteps, address them. There is zero accountability with Brandon and you are labeled a problem if you expect and demand more than the absolute bare minimum from him. There are so many better personal injury attorneys in Virginia in my opinion, I can recommend a few that I met in this journey that I wish I had hired over this firm. If you would like their names, feel free to reach out!

First off, I want to apologize. Mr. Yoon as I could've sworn I submitted a Yelp Review after he…read moretook on my personal affairs. Mr. Yoon saw me from a million miles away as I entered the courtroom and nervously waited for my time to present my appeal and request for work/medical license due to legal ramifications I had placed myself in due to my negligent abuse of alcohol which when coupled with my untreated alcoholism led my DUI and to my criminal conviction and revocation of my rights to operate a motor vehicle until my sentence, probationary fees, and other legal fees were accounted for. Mr. Yoon approached me in the courthouse in 2015-2016, apologies for the gap in time as the specific date alludes me, as our greatest enemy is time, but I digress. Mr. Yoon identified that I was walking into a metaphorical minefield as it was extremely obvious that I was out of my depth when I walked in. He briefly asked me about my situation I was in and represented me and assisted me with my appeal in my case. He requested that I submit a Yelp Review, I could've sworn I already wrote one, but I have found myself in a moment of retrospection, reminiscing about how noble and just his shear presence was and how comforting he was during my state of vulnerability. I regret that the DUI happened at all in the first place and that I lost the career that I loved so much. But I am thankful that no one was hurt or killed as a result of my stupidty as I firmly know I would not be able to live with myself if I caused undue harm or death to my fellow american(s) or human being. I found myself yearning to address this once more to hopefully mentor someone that may be going through a bad time in their life that it is OK to reach out for support as there are many other people out there amongst us that have fallen into war with themselves and their past, present, and the fear and uncertainty that the future holds for us. But if we arm ourselves with knowledge and build each other up rather than tear each other down as Mr. Yoon exemplifies by his character and willingness to help those that lack proper representation. In my closing statements, I hope to leave these breadcrumbs to help other lost souls and pay it forward, because without a person like Mr. Yoon, I would not be the man I am today. Sometimes we can't see the forest for all the trees. - John Heywood Everyday is a new day, and although we in our life may face bad days, remember that we have resources available to us and that sometimes it's our mindset that causes these feelings of incompetency that misguide us and only harm us further.
