Very happy with his work, took there time and very neat. Removed every branch I wanted removed cut the wood to 18 inch pieces and stacked it for my fire pit. I signed a contract and the work was supposed to begin on July 23rd I was informed that it would be at 2 day job. On the 23rd I reached out to Tim. I called and I text and I didn't get a respond until hours later. I was told it was to hot for then to work. He assured me that they would be out there 1st thing on Monday. When returning from work on Monday the tree was still up no contact was made to me no communication whatsoever. I demanded my money back. He assured me that the work would be done. It's now August the 10th and the job has not be completed. He broke my neighbors fence, damaged my new paved driveway and my deck. They are so unprofessional and so incompetent. If you want to get the job done go with another company save yourself the aggravation. I tried to reach out to them. I tried to communicate, but no responses by phone or text. I ended up dealing with a lady named Nancy who gave me her word and promised me that this job would be completed on Monday morning. It was 12pm and nobody showed up, so I reached out again and no response. I ended up sending a message telling them I will find somebody else to finish the job. I had a hire someone to fix my neighbor's garden fence. I will have to be responsible for my own driveway and my own deck. One last thing the owner of the company Tim is very Is inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable it basically was sexual harassment. Very inconvenient, Awkward and uncomfortable process with this service. You have to call, text and chase him around for him to show to a job that was already paid for. To date, the job is not completed and he is no longer replying to our calls and text. Will not recommend this Paul Bunyon & Sons Tree Service...here's why: We hired his Service (Timothy Mullins) for the Tree removal and trimming of trees and hedges. We paid the down payment as agreed in the contract. He failed to perform the work on the assigned date. It would have been better if he had at least called and inform us of the delay. We ended up calling him several times. His voice mail is always full so you will not be able to leave a voice message...very convenient for him. The one time he tried to call me back was when I am in the middle of listening to his voice mail. Then when you call him back he will not answer. We made a new appointment for the next Thursday as per his request but again he did not show up and did not call. Finally, my husband was able to reach him at the end of that day (Thursday) and his crew finally showed up the next day. To sum it up, it took him over a week after the assigned date and many, many phone calls and text. I paid the remaining balance that day upon completion of the work. When my husband looked at his work, we found that the tree stump was still there. They had just covered it with our old mulch. The removal of the tree stump is paid for and is also written in the contract. We called him and we were informed that another crew will complete the job the next day. As always, nobody showed, nobody called so I kept calling and texting to follow up. He then kept promising, "tomorrow for sure" but it did not happen. It's been more than a week now as of this writing and the tree stump is still there. We don't want to follow up and keep chasing him, this is very inconvenient and very uncomfortable process and he is no longer answering communications sent to him. read more

We keep getting the run around-being told the stump grinder is broke to we will be there 'this week.' The entire experience was awful. We never received an exact date for the tree removal even after signing the contract. I texted every day asking what date the tree would be removed and would receive a message back saying "your the 1st job tomorrow" and tomorrow would come and no show. Again I'd ask for the new scheduled date, in which they'd give me another date and guess what? No show. This happened 3 times until they finally showed up and cut down the tree. We had full stump removal as part of our contract and were told we would have a 3-5 foot deep hole to fill with top soil so we bought 6 bags in preparation. When they cut the tree down, the stump and big trunk remnants were left in our yard for almost 2 days. After sending a few messages, they finally came and ground up the stump, however they left a huge 3 foot MOUND of wood chips. I texted them over 6 times about when they will be removing this huge mound and received different promises of days they would come... and of course no shows. My husband had to remove all the wood chips because they were an eye sore in our back yard and we need to grow grass in the area. I am beyond frustrated with this company, it was so much work constantly contacting them and pulling teeth to try to get any kind of commitment on dates when the work would be done. My biggest mistake was leaving the 2nd half of the payment in my mailbox which they gladly took before the promised work was even completed. I do not recommend this company, but if you must... do not pay in full until the job is complete per the contract and to your satisfaction. read more

I used this company in April 2019 to remove two large trees, grind down the stumps, and have some of the tree branches cut for firewood. The business itself isn't run well at all and you're lucky if anyone actually shows up. The owner required half of the payment upfront then said his guys would be out on a certain date. They never showed. The owner had a new excuse every day they did not show. He would give me an excuse and then say his guys would be out "tomorrow". Then he would have a new excuse the next day, and the next day. His guys eventually showed up the Wednesday before Easter. Their trucks were left out on my front lawn, which I was fine with at first since the work was not finished. The workers came back one more time to remove the second tree, but they still needed to come back to grind down the stumps. Part of our contract was to also have some of the tree branches cut and left for firewood. On Easter Sunday I had all of their tree removal trucks still parked on my front lawn, the stumps still needed to be ground down, and I had no firewood because the workers decided to throw everything through their chipper instead. The owner contacted me Easter morning asking that I have a check ready for him that day. I explained to him the work was not even finished yet. He assured me his men would come out that day and he would bring me split firewood the next day. I explained that I did not want to leave a check for him until the work was actually finished per our contract. The owner then decided to try guilt tripping me because "he's out of town, and his daughter is handling the business while he is gone, and he's going to pay his men from the balance." I agreed to pay the final balance once the stumps and trucks were removed from my property, with the owner's promise I would get the firewood we contractually agreed upon the following day. I've texted and called the owner for months asking where my firewood was. Well it's now October and I STILL don't have any firewood. I would not recommend this company if they offered to do the work for free. They are not worth the aggravation. read more
