I emailed Dovetail and included pictures of the piece. They responded that they could restore it and asked me to bring it in. I drove it over, they gave me a quote, and an expected finish date (I believe it was about a month away). I paid a deposit (half the restoration cost) when I dropped it off. When it was ready, I picked up and paid the remaining invoice amount. The restoration cost wasn't inexpensive, but the piece looks really good and their restoration may have given that piece some new life! It's ready to be used for another 50 years! Highly recommend reaching out to them if you have a piece that needs restoring: fast response, good work, on-time completion.

Frank did a rocker for us recently. We looked at a lot of new rockers, but quality was not their. We found a very worn, had been recovered three time already, curly maple with a little puppy chewing on the rocker tips. The seat actually had real tied springs, $10 at restore. Two week latter we are rocking in our Livingroom. Great job. Frank has done work for us before. We had 8 miss match chairs for dinning between kitchen and dinning room now they match. If your looking for a special pc Frank has some old chairs in the basement that are ready for rework, just pick the chair and the material. Frank has a good stock of materials that he will install from his stock at really low prices or you can select from books or bring in you special order material. Frank does not drive so no pickup or deliver, you need to arrange. I feel price is good but not a lot to compare against. Today, my five year old accidentally pulled one of our shades too hard and it become detached from the roller mechanism. I called Alexander Blank and one of their wonderful installers was at my house within 30 minutes (and at the end of the workday). He was able to fix it and even looked at the other shades in the house and tweaked them to make sure they were working as well as possible. This was the best customer service experience I have ever had. Thank you Alexander Blank! Everyone should use Alexander Blank for their custom window treatments.

I purchased the material, took the cushions to the business, picked them up once completed, and each chair cost $125. Workmanship was excellent, but the price was steep. (Also got new cushions.) I have a sofa and chair that need work but this place is too pricey for me. I would shop around next time.
